Definitions
- the invention relates to a walk-in shelter against unwanted exposure to heat, radiation, gas and water and other mechanical stresses, in particular for data carriers.
- the invention is therefore based on the object of providing a walk-in protective house for storing documents, in particular data carriers or chemicals or the like, in which the objects protect against undesired heat, for example during a fire, radiation, gas or water or against others mechanical loads are protected safely and non-destructively, the shelter should have a simple structure, the size of which can be easily adapted to the required conditions.
- the fact that the walls are constructed from the outside inward from a closed outer metal shell, one or more insulating layers, a support structure, a further or more further insulating layers and an inner closed metal shell is a safe protection. in particular against fire or radiation, the protection being increased further by the fact that the individual layers are built independently of one another and are not self-supporting and mechanically connected to one another. Each part fulfills its assigned function without the help of the others.
- the inner and outer metal shells form a double Faraday cage, so that malicious or accidental demagnetization as magnetic tapes or diskettes or the like
- the modular structure allows shelters to be designed in any size without having to change the structure or the individual elements.
- the shelter Due to the fact that the heat storage capacity and / or the mass of the individual layers increases from the outside to the inside, the shelter is adapted to the temperature behavior of a fire in which the temperatures rise quickly at the beginning and after a certain period of time which is in the region of an hour , fall approximately exponentially.
- the heat transfer is delayed to the inside by the structure according to the invention, and after the temperatures in the outside have subsided, the heat can be transported again from the inside to the outside. The interior therefore does not heat up so badly that the documents or data carriers are destroyed.
- the hot zones are offset so that the heat is distributed evenly and no thermal bridges are created.
- the seals between the sheet metal elements of the inner metal shell form a vapor barrier together with the sheet metal elements, so that the moisture which is released, for example, during a fire or which is present due to differences in partial pressure does not reach the interior. Since magnetic data media are demagnetized at 100% humidity, this measure is essential.
- the structure of the door with the multiple rebate ensures that the necessary opening in the shelter is securely closed. Due to the parallel moving out and the subsequent pivoting, there is no need to resort to the complex two-door system.
- the shelter consists of several layers, the structure for the walls, the ceilings and the floor being the same.
- the outer layer of the shelter 1 consists of a continuous metal shell 2, which is formed by individually interconnected sheet metal elements 3.
- the sheet metal elements 3 are bent twice vertically in their edge areas, so that a cross-sectionally U-shaped profile results in these edge areas.
- the sheet metal elements 3 are connected to one another by screws, rivets, welding or the like on the angle pieces 4 which are bent perpendicularly to the outer shell.
- An insulating layer 5 with high thermal insulation and mechanical strength, for example rock wool, is inserted into the sheet metal elements 3, which is held by the U-profile of the edge regions of the sheet metal elements 3.
- the insulating layer 5 held in the sheet metal elements 3 is followed by a further insulating layer 6 made of the same or similar material as the insulating layer 5, the mechanical strength of the thermal insulation material having to be sufficient for the insulating layer 6 to be connected to the surface parallel to the outer surface Sheet metal elements 3 lying kinked edge regions 7 of the sheet metal elements 3 rests, carries itself.
- the insulating layer 6 is followed by a support structure made of profile supports 8, the supports 8 having a U-profile and being connected to one another by welding, riveting or screwing in such a way that an H-profile results. Of course, beams with other profiles can also be used.
- the support structure is self-supporting and not mechanically connected to the insulating layer 6 or the sheet metal elements 3.
- Thermal insulation panels 9 are inserted into the U-profiles of the supports 8.
- a further insulating layer 10 a layer of plasterboard 11 and again an insulating layer 12 are provided.
- the shelter also has an inner metal shell 13 made of sheet metal elements 3, although the continuous metal layer faces the insulating layer 12, while the angled regions face the interior.
- Seals 14 are arranged between the joints of the sheet metal elements, that is, between the vertically bent angular areas.
- the angled areas 4, 7 enclose thermal insulation panels 15.
- a cladding 16 made of wood or plasterboard panels or the like can be provided in the interior.
- the individual layers of the sandwich-like structure of the walls are not connected to each other and stand alone, so that the heat transfer cannot take place via any connecting elements.
- the thermal insulation material used for the layers 5, 6, 9, 10, 12 and 15 has a high level of thermal insulation and, in particular in the outside area, a low storage capacity, with the heat storage capacity of all layers increasing from the outside inwards in a preferred embodiment. Accordingly, the mass increases from the outside to the inside, for example the thickness of the sheet metal elements formed inner metal shell 13 larger than that of the outer metal shell 2.
- the joints between the sheet metal elements of the inner and outer metal shell 13, 2 wind staggered to the beams 8 of the support structure, so that the hot zones are offset. Due to the individual sheet metal elements 3, there is a modular structure, so that the size of the shelter 1 can be changed by the provision of a larger or smaller number of sheet metal elements 3 and correspondingly by supports 8 of the support structure.
- a feed pipe 17 is provided for a C0 2 or halon and so on extinguishing system which projects through the individual layers.
- the feed pipe is deflected several times and is surrounded in the outer layers 2, 5, 6 by a sleeve which is covered with fire protection material.
- the fire protection material foams up and forms a secure seal between the metallic outer skin 2 and the insulating layers 5, 6.
- the shelter is accessible through an opening that can be closed by a door 18.
- the door 18 is shown in more detail in FIG. 3. It consists, according to the inner and outer metal sheaths 2, 13, of the sheet metal elements 3 with the thermal insulation material used, with corresponding interconnected fire protection plates being provided between the inner and outer layers of the thickness of the wall and thus the door.
- the door is multiple for better sealing folded, at the point 19 the fold is formed such that there is a cavity 20 in which a seal 21 is arranged.
- a steel lip 22 presses against the seal 21.
- the door fitting for opening and closing the door 18 is arranged in the interior and, as can be seen from FIG. 3, has a pivot lever 23 and a steering lever 24.
- the steering lever 24 prevents the door from initially pivoting out and ensures that it can be moved out in parallel until the door 18 can be pivoted, which cannot be carried out from the start due to the thickness of the door and its mounting.
- the levers 23, 24 describe different radii of movement.
- the position of the levers when the door 18 is fully open is shown in broken lines.
- the pivot lever 23 carries out a pivoting movement of 90 °, while the steering lever 24 describes a smaller pivot angle.
- the steering lever 24 is shorter than the pivot lever 23 and the pivot points of the steering lever 24 are in the direction of movement before the pivot points of the pivot lever.
- the fulcrums of the levers 24, 23 are also laterally offset.

Description
The invention relates to a walk-in shelter against unwanted exposure to heat, radiation, gas and water and other mechanical stresses, in particular for data carriers.
There has long been a need to store important documents, data carriers, chemicals or the like in such a way that they are not destroyed in the event of undesirable external influences, for example the increased heat in the event of a fire or radiation or the like. The goods to be stored are usually kept in locked safes or cupboards, in which it is safe against unauthorized access, but measures are usually not taken in the event of a fire.
The invention is therefore based on the object of providing a walk-in protective house for storing documents, in particular data carriers or chemicals or the like, in which the objects protect against undesired heat, for example during a fire, radiation, gas or water or against others mechanical loads are protected safely and non-destructively, the shelter should have a simple structure, the size of which can be easily adapted to the required conditions.
This object is achieved according to the invention by the characterizing features of the main claim in conjunction with the features of the preamble.
Die innere und äußere Metallhülle bilden einen doppelten Faraday'schen Käfig, so daß ein böswilliges oder unbeabsichtigtes Entmagnetisieren von als Magnetbänder oder Disketten oder dergleichenThe fact that the walls are constructed from the outside inward from a closed outer metal shell, one or more insulating layers, a support structure, a further or more further insulating layers and an inner closed metal shell is a safe protection. in particular against fire or radiation, the protection being increased further by the fact that the individual layers are built independently of one another and are not self-supporting and mechanically connected to one another. The inner and outer metal shells form a double Faraday cage, so that malicious or accidental demagnetization as magnetic tapes or diskettes or the like
ausgebildeten magnetischen Datenträgern nicht möglich ist.trained magnetic media is not possible.
Advantageous further developments and improvements are possible through the measures specified in the subclaims.
The modular structure allows shelters to be designed in any size without having to change the structure or the individual elements.
Due to the fact that the heat storage capacity and / or the mass of the individual layers increases from the outside to the inside, the shelter is adapted to the temperature behavior of a fire in which the temperatures rise quickly at the beginning and after a certain period of time which is in the region of an hour , fall approximately exponentially. The heat transfer is delayed to the inside by the structure according to the invention, and after the temperatures in the outside have subsided, the heat can be transported again from the inside to the outside. The interior therefore does not heat up so badly that the documents or data carriers are destroyed.
By moving the supports of the support structure and the joints of the sheet metal elements, the hot zones are offset so that the heat is distributed evenly and no thermal bridges are created.
The seals between the sheet metal elements of the inner metal shell form a vapor barrier together with the sheet metal elements, so that the moisture which is released, for example, during a fire or which is present due to differences in partial pressure does not reach the interior. Since magnetic data media are demagnetized at 100% humidity, this measure is essential.
The structure of the door with the multiple rebate ensures that the necessary opening in the shelter is securely closed. Due to the parallel moving out and the subsequent pivoting, there is no need to resort to the complex two-door system.
- 1 shows a section through the shelter parallel to the ceiling or floor,
- Fig. 2 is an enlarged sectional view through one of the walls of the shelter, and
- Fig. 3 is an illustration of the door with the levers controlling the movement and pivoting.
As can be seen from FIGS. 1 and 2, the shelter consists of several layers, the structure for the walls, the ceilings and the floor being the same. The outer layer of the
The individual layers of the sandwich-like structure of the walls are not connected to each other and stand alone, so that the heat transfer cannot take place via any connecting elements. The thermal insulation material used for the
As can be seen from FIG. 1, a
The shelter is accessible through an opening that can be closed by a
