A pallet for handling loads of the type comprising an upper loading face and a lower support face, the upper and lower faces being parallel and cross-braced by means of a plurality of blocks (12, 45) made of any mouldable material of rectangular or cylindrical section which are each adapted to have a tubular crimping element passing therethrough, the blocks being positioned in such a way as to form a palet comprising on each of its sides an opening for the introduction of the forks of a handling machine, characterized in that the vicinity of each of its corners the palet comprises a block (12) having two parallel guide passages (23), the other blocks (12, 45) if provided comprise either two parallel passages (23) or a central guide passage (47), each of said guide passages, which is perpendicular to said faces, receiving an element for connecting said faces and one at least of the blocks of said plurality being capable of receiving at least one means for identification of the palet.
