Definitions

  • the invention relates to a polarized miniature electromagnetic relay with an excitation coil and a rod-shaped armature, arranged axially within the coil and mounted in the area of a first coil flange, the free end of which in the area of a second coil flange in the space between two angled by yoke plates Opposing pole shoes protrudes, the yoke sheets - lying side by side over a large area in a plane parallel to the coil axis - are magnetically coupled with two poles of the same name of a four-pole permanent magnet arrangement and the two poles of the permanent magnet arrangement facing away from the yoke sheets extend over a parallel to the yoke sheets and next to the coil winding Flux plate are magnetically coupled to each other and via a section of the flow plate angled perpendicular to the coil axis to the bearing area of the armature.
  • Such a relay is known from EP-A-0 072 975 and EP-A-0 072 976.
  • the supported end of the armature is anchored there in an insulating material carrier, which in turn is rotatably supported in extensions of the coil body by means of interlocking bearing elements.
  • the flow plate reaches there over the insulating material carrier and is angled with its angled end to the end of the anchor, but without touching it because of the otherwise occurring friction. Because of this air gap with tolerances between the flux plate and the anchor end, there are the magnetic circuits, i. that is, the permanent magnetic circuit and the excitation circuit are not completely closed. With a given permanent magnet, this results in a reduction in the contact force as well as in an increased excitation power.
  • the storage between the insulating material carrier of the armature and the coil body requires a relatively complicated shape of these plastic parts.
  • a relay is known with a rod-shaped armature, arranged axially within the coil, in which the armature is mounted in the opening of the first coil flange in an opening in the yoke.
  • the bearing end of the armature is T-shaped to form a cutting edge bearing.
  • the armature also has additional holding wings, on which a specially attached and relatively complicated adjusting spring engages. In this way, the known anchor bearing is relatively complex, since additional and complicated parts have to be manufactured and assembled.
  • the object of the invention is to develop a relay of the type mentioned in such a way that the mounting of the armature is simplified and the magnetic circuit is nevertheless closed even better.
  • this object is achieved in that the angled section of the flow plate has an opening, that the anchor is inserted through the opening and is mounted in the area of this opening and that the anchor tapers prismatically in the area of the opening of the flow plate and / or the opening extends prismatically is such that the armature is parallel to a side wall of the opening in each of its two end positions.
  • the inventive implementation of the anchor through a breakthrough of the flow plate and with its storage directly on this flow plate, an improved result. magnetic flux transition and thus a lower response power. Since the flux plate is bent directly on the coil flange and the armature end does not encompass the insulating material carrier, which may be attached to the armature end, the flow path length is shorter overall than in the known relay mentioned at the outset, so that less leakage flux is lost. Furthermore, in the construction according to the invention, the armature is mounted directly on the flow plate, so that the coil body can be made simpler. Since this bobbin itself does not form a bearing, its material can also be selected without regard to sliding properties, so that, for example, a more temperature-resistant material can be used.
  • the flow plate can tightly enclose the armature in the region of its pivot axis without being hindered in its switching movement.
  • the anchor itself is expediently widened in a T-shape at its bearing end outside of the flux plate section, so that it rests with bearing edges on the flux plate section and can roll on it.
  • the armature is anchored at its end adjacent to the bearing in an insulating material carrier which carries on both sides a contact spring which extends parallel to the axis next to the coil.
  • the armature can also be held in its storage position by means of resilient current leads for the contact springs. Regardless of this, it is also drawn into its bearing on the flow plate by the permanent magnetic forces that act at the transition between the flow plate and anchor.
  • FIG. 1 and 2 schematically show a polarized magnet system as used in a relay according to the invention.
  • the system comprises a permanent magnet 1 which has four poles with two opposite polarization directions.
  • a flux plate 2 or 3 is coupled to the two lower poles of the flat permanent magnet 1.
  • the front ends of the flux plates 2 and 3 are bent in parallel parallel to each other so that they form two pole pieces 2a and 3a.
  • the two upper poles of the permanent magnet 1 are coupled to one another via a flux plate 4.
  • An elongated, rod-shaped armature 5 is arranged approximately axially within an excitation coil 6, so that it can be switched with its free end 5a between the two pole pieces 2a and 3a.
  • the armature is mounted on a section 4a of the flux plate 4 which is angled perpendicular to the coil axis.
  • the flow plate forms an opening 4b in this area, through which the anchor is inserted.
  • the anchor rests with the edges 5c and 5d on the flow plate section 4a, so that a good flow transition is ensured.
  • FIGS. 3 and 4 A specific embodiment for a relay according to the invention is shown in FIGS. 3 and 4.
  • the magnet system is designed as in FIGS. 1 and 2, so that the same reference numerals are used for the same parts.
  • the winding 6 is carried by a bobbin 7, which has a flange 8 and 9 at its two ends.
  • the coil body 7 is provided with an axial bore 10 in which the armature 5 is arranged lengthwise.
  • the pole pieces 2a and 3a are anchored in the coil body in the area of the coil flange 9, while the flux plate extension 4a abuts the coil flange 8.
  • These center contact springs 12 extend parallel to the armature in each case next to the coil and, depending on the armature position, form contact with mating contact elements 13 or 14, respectively.
  • the coil body 7 is seated on a base 15 in which the mating contact elements 13 and 14 with their associated connecting lugs 13a are on both sides and 14a and a center contact terminal 16 are anchored to a terminal lug 16a.
  • the center contact springs 12 are each connected to the associated connecting element 16 via a flexible connecting element 17.
  • the connecting elements 17 present on both sides of the relay simultaneously hold the armature in its storage position; they can also exert a directing force on the armature, for example a one-sided bias in the sense of a monostable switching characteristic.
  • the anchor 4 is shown in an enlarged view, namely side view and top view.
  • the flow plate section 4a is shown as an indication.
  • the pivoting movement of the armature is indicated in FIG. 6 by the double arrow 18.
  • the armature in the area of this opening is slightly tapered towards its switching end, so that a side surface 5e in the opening in each of the two end positions is parallel to the side wall 4c or 4d of the Breakthrough stands. It would of course also be just as possible to leave the anchor with continuously parallel side surfaces and to make the opening of the river plate tapered.
  • the side surfaces 5f also run obliquely in order to facilitate the anchor movement.
  • the armature is held in the bearing via the contact springs 12 by the connecting elements 17. But it is also permanently magnetically attracted with its T-shaped widened end 5b to the flux plate section 4a, so that it can roll with its (rounded) leading edges 5c or 5d on the flux plate when switching.
  • the anchor could also be used without the T-shaped widening, in which case it would only be rod-shaped through the opening in the flow plate. However, the river crossing would then be worse. Unrolling of the armature could also be achieved in this case, for example by a suitably designed cutting edge of the carrier 11.
  • the base also has coil connecting pins 19, and a columnar getter 20 is also attached to the base for cleaning the contact atmosphere.
  • the relay is closed with a cap 21 in the usual manner and sealed on the underside with potting compound 22.
