Abstract

Weft threads on a circular loom which are wound off the respective bobbin of the weaving shuttle traveling in the weaving shed along a circular path formed by the circular reed, and transferred onto the fabric edge of the tubular fabric, are supervised by a scanner in order to generate an electric stop signal in the case of a weft thread fault. This results from the use of a non-contact sensory system of capacitive, inductive, opto-electric or magnetic kind, with the scanner means comprising a tipping lever supported on the respective shuttle and acted upon by the drawn-off thread against the effect of a restoring force, said tipping lever functioning like a switch, in the case of a weft thread fault, and combined with at least one signal transmitting component of the sensory system arranged on the reed. This permits the correct supervision of the existance of the weft threads wound off the bobbins of the circulating shuttles in order to stop the loom immediately, so as to avoid a weaving fault, in the case of a weft thread failure owing to weft thread breakage or depletion of the weft thread package, for example.

Description

The present invention relates to a device for monitoring the weft threads on a circular loom, which are unwound from the respective bobbin of the shooters rotating in the shed along a circular path formed by the round reed and are delivered to the fabric edge of the tubular fabric produced, with scanning means monitoring the respective weft thread in order to generate an electrical stop signal after a weft error.

Circular looms are generally known, in which a plurality of partial heald frames are arranged in a circle around the round reed of the machine and each carry a plurality of inner and outer healds for guiding a part of each of the two warp thread coulters distributed all around, which are used to form the weaving or traveling shed via revolving main shaft an opposing up and down alternating movement is given. The weavers in the Rundriet, driven by the main shaft, carry the from of the weft thread in question to be drawn off continuously into the traveling compartment. The tubular fabric produced in this way is then pulled off and wound up flat.

It is essential to carefully monitor the correct presence of the weft threads drawn from the bobbins of the rotating shooters in order to be able to immediately switch off the machine to avoid weaving errors in the event of a weft thread defect, for example due to weft thread breakage or exhaustion of the weft thread spool.

Known devices of this type either use photo-optical signal transmitters or work with sliding contacts. Both light barrier means and sliding contact means can no longer meet today's requirements, especially with regard to the significantly increased revolving speeds of the shooters. Light barriers have always been susceptible to the effects of external light, dust quickly and do not allow the processing of reflective tapes due to "blindness". In contrast, sliding contact media can only be used to a very limited extent in today's high-performance machines.

It is therefore an object of the present invention, a to create direction for monitoring the weft threads on a circular loom that does not adhere to the disadvantages of the known prior art.

According to the invention, this is initially achieved in that the stop signal can be generated by a contactless sensor system of a capacitive, inductive or magnetic type which can be activated by the scanning means, the scanning means comprising a rocker arm supported on the respective shooter and acted upon by the pulled weft against the action of a restoring force , which acts as a switch in the event of a weft fault and interacts with at least one signal transmitter part of the sensor system arranged on the reed.

Such a device is not subject to the effects of extraneous light, interference from dusting or any wear. This device, on the other hand, also allows the processing of reflective tapes, works safely at any shooting speed and has a very high sensitivity and speed.

For a secure loading of the tilt bracket by the weft thread migrating over its entire width when it is pulled off, an advantageous embodiment of the He be seen in the fact that the tilt bracket comprises a ruler extending parallel to the weft spool, which is at least partially wrapped around by the drawn weft. The further configuration can then be such that arms protrude from the ruler at both ends and to the side of the weft bobbin, which pass into bearing pins supported on the shooter, a switch arm directed against the reed protruding from the rocker arm. There are possibilities that the restoring force effective on the tilt bracket is generated by spring means or by torsional tension or by the dead weight of the tilt bracket.

Furthermore, a very simple conception of the subject matter of the invention is achieved when the tilt bracket consists at least partially of a steel wire.

  • Fig. 1 in einer Seitenansicht und in schematischer Darstellung eine Rundwebmaschine;
For example, embodiments of the subject matter of the invention are explained in more detail below with reference to the drawing. Show it:
  • Figure 1 is a side view and a schematic representation of a circular loom.
  • FIG. 2 shows a schematic representation in side view of the device according to the invention for monitoring the weft threads of the arrangement according to FIG. 1, on a larger scale; and
  • Fig. 3 shows a detail of the arrangement of FIG. 2, in a front view, on a larger scale.

Das Schlauchgewebe kann dann nach oben abgezogen und zu einem flachen Schlauchgewebe zusammengelegt werden.1 rests in the usual way on a machine base frame 1 on which a circular frame support 2 is supported, which has a round reed 3, a on / off switch 4 for the machine and further frame parts 5 for supporting shafts 6 wearing. These shafts 6 are arranged in a known manner in a circle around the main shaft 8 of the machine and essentially form the shed-forming means of the machine. In addition, the support 9 for the tissue withdrawal device is supported on the base frame 1, which is indicated here only by tissue withdrawal rollers 10. A fabric spreader 14 is also effective in the trigger area. Furthermore, the feed roller 15 for the warp threads on the left and the feed roller 16 for the warp threads on the right are visible on the circular loom shown. These warp threads 7, the course of which is only indicated, are divided into two sets of warp threads arranged all around and are not known in the manner of Subtracted groups of warp bobbins shown. One of these coulters is then raised to form the shed, while the other is guided downward from the height of the weaving plane by the so-called shed changing movement, so that a warp thread shed 7 'and a warp shed lower shed 7 "are created. This so-called shed or traveling shed then runs at least one shooter 30, but usually several, around a horizontal circular path with a weft bobbin 31 (FIG. 2) The circular movement of the shooters releases the weft thread 32 unwound from the weft thread bobbin at the fabric edge 13 of the tubular fabric produced, so that this weft thread can be woven into the fabric. The tubular fabric can then be pulled off and folded up to form a flat tubular fabric.

To this extent, the construction of the circular loom shown can correspond to the known state of the art, so that a further explanation of such a machine is unnecessary.

The problem to be dealt with here on such a circular weaving machine as described above consists in carefully monitoring the weft threads 32 drawn from the bobbins 31 of the rotating shooters 30 in a functionally reliable manner in order to use a weft thread error to monitor the machine stop signal 43 generated immediately.

For this purpose, it is now provided to have the stop signal 43 generated by a contactless sensor system 40 (FIG. 2) of a capacitive, inductive or magnetic type that can be activated by scanning means, the scanning means being supported on the respective weaver 30 by the weft thread 32 drawn off against the Effect of a restoring force act on tilting bracket 41, which acts as a switch in the event of a weft fault and interacts with at least one signal transmitter part 42 of the sensor system arranged on reed 3.

In order to shorten the circulation distance of the shooter concerned to the signal transmitter part 42 to a few angular degrees, it is advantageous to arrange a plurality of such signal transmitter parts 42 on the reed 3, distributed in the circumferential direction, as indicated in FIG. 1.

As shown in FIGS. 2 and 3 in more detail, the tilt bracket 41 comprises a ruler 42 which extends parallel to the weft bobbin 31 and is at least partially wrapped around by the weft 32 that has been drawn off.

Here protrude from the ruler 42 at both ends and to the side Weft thread bobbin 31 arms 43, which pass into bearing pins 44 supported on the shooter 30, a switch arm 45 directed against the reed 3 protruding from the rocker arm 41.

Depending on the embodiment of the tilt bracket 41 and its support, which can of course be any, the restoring force effective on the tilt bracket 41 can be generated by spring means or by torsional tension or by the dead weight of the tilt bracket.

Weiter besteht der Kippbügel 41 vorzugsweise aus einem Stahldraht, wobei das Lineal 42 für eine schonende Fadenführung eine Porzellanhülse tragen kann (nicht gezeigt).Furthermore, the tilt bracket 41 preferably consists of a steel wire, the ruler 42 being able to carry a porcelain sleeve (not shown) for gentle thread guidance.

The very simple functioning of the device according to the invention can be seen in particular in FIG. 2. Thereafter, the weft thread 32, which wraps around the ruler 42 and runs from the bobbin 31 to the fabric edge 13, swivels the rocker arm 41 clockwise against a stop 46 on the shuttle 30. Thus, the switch arm 45 of the rocker arm 41 remains outside the effective range during its rotation with the shooter the signal transmitter part 42 or the signal transmitter parts of the sensor system 40. On the other hand, if the weft thread 32 breaks, the rocker arm 41 falls counter-clockwise under the effect of its pretension R iet 3 by dashed lines back up to a stop 47 in which, in Fig. 2 drawn in switching position of the switching arm 45 in its movement past the next signal generator part 42 of this is activated, whereupon the latter, the stop signal 43 provides for the M a-machine.

From the above, a device according to the invention for monitoring the weft threads on a circular loom results, which meets all the aforementioned requirements. In particular, the measures described above permit easy retrofitting of already existing machines as well as the use of the weft thread monitoring device on other thread processing machines.

A number of modifications are of course possible within the scope of the present invention. For example, the tilt bracket 41 can be pivotally supported at another location, for example in the center of rotation of the weft bobbin 31. For an optoelectric scanning, the tilting bracket can carry one part of a light barrier, which part comes out of the area of a shielding screen on the shooter into the effective area of the other part of the light barrier on reed 3 in the event of a thread break, whereby a signal can be generated (not shown).
