Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a device for monitoring the weft threads on a circular weaving machine, wherein the weft threads are unwound from the spool of the weaver that rotates in the shed along a circular path formed by a round reed, scanning means monitoring the weft thread in order to generate an electrical stop signal in the event of a weft fault .
Circular looms are generally known, in which a plurality of partial heald frames are arranged in a circle around the round reed of the machine and each carry a plurality of inner and outer healds for guiding a part of each of the two warp thread coulters distributed all around, which are used to form the weaving or traveling shed via revolving main shaft an opposing up and down alternating movement is given. The weavers who are driven in rotation by the main shaft in the rotary shaft continuously feed the weft thread to be drawn off from the relevant bobbin in question into the traveling compartment. The tubular fabric produced in this way is then pulled off and wound up flat.
It is essential that the correct presence of the weft threads drawn from the bobbins of the rotating shooters is carefully monitored in order to be able to immediately switch off the machine in order to avoid weaving errors in the event of a weft thread fault, for example due to weft thread breakage or exhaustion of the weft thread spool.
Known devices of this type (FR-A-1473899; CH-A-215 120) use for this purpose a lever on the shooter which is wrapped in a thread, which lever closes a contact on the shooter in the event of a thread break, whereupon a signal circuit on the shooter is closed, which signal A sensor on the reed is activated without contact.
However, this requires many components and power transmission means from the reed on the contactors to feed its signal circuit. In addition, such arrangements are relatively sluggish and prone to failure.
It is therefore an object of the present invention to provide a device for monitoring the weft threads on a circular loom which does not have the disadvantages of the known prior art.
According to the invention, this is first achieved by arranging on the weaving contactor a tilting bracket, which is acted upon by the drawn-off weft thread against the action of a restoring force, about an axis extending parallel to the weft thread bobbin, from which axis laterally arms project that arm parallel to the weft thread bobbin and from this resp. carry a ruler at a distance from the axis, which is at least partially wrapped in the weft thread and from which a switching arm directed against the reed protrudes, which in the event of a weft fault interacts with at least one signal transmitter part of a contactlessly activatable sensor system arranged on the reed.
Such a device is extremely simple and robust and is not subject to dust or any wear and tear. This device works safely at any shooter rotation speed and has a very high sensitivity and speed.
For example, embodiments of the subject matter of the invention are explained in more detail below with reference to the drawing.
Es zeigen:
- Fig. 1 in einer Seitenansicht und in schematischer Darstellung eine Rundwebmaschine;
- Figure 1 is a side view and a schematic representation of a circular loom.
- FIG. 2 shows a schematic illustration in side view of the device according to the invention for monitoring the weft threads of the arrangement according to FIG. 1, on a larger scale; and
- Fig. 3 shows a detail of the arrangement of FIG. 2, in a front view, on a larger scale.
Das Schlauchgewebe kann dann nach oben abgezogen und zu einem flachen Schlauchgewebe zusammengelegt werden.1 rests in the usual way on a machine base frame 1 on which a circular frame support 2 is supported, which has a
As far as the structure of the circular loom shown can be the known prior art correspond, so that a further explanation of such a machine is unnecessary.
The problem to be dealt with here on such a circular loom as described now consists in carefully monitoring the
For this purpose, it is now provided to have the
In order to shorten the circulation distance of the shooter concerned to the
As shown in FIGS. 2 and 3 in more detail, the
Depending on the embodiment of the
The very simple functioning of the device according to the invention can be seen in particular in FIG. 2. Thereafter, the
From the above, a device according to the invention for monitoring the weft threads on a circular loom results, which meets all the aforementioned requirements. In particular, the measures described above permit easy retrofitting of already existing machines as well as the use of the weft thread monitoring device on other thread processing machines.
A number of modifications are of course possible within the scope of the present invention. For example, the
