When viewed vertically, greater belliness is perceived than when viewed diagonally.
  • gaps 13 are provided as an additional security feature in the printing just explained, which are arranged in certain directions in a line. In supervision this is not noticeable if this structure is sufficiently finely decorated. However, if a flat viewing angle is selected, then bright alleys appear in a dark environment. This effect, which is known per se from banknotes, but where an uneven surface is assumed, can easily be used in the manner explained as an additional security feature for flat all-plastic types.
  • FIG. 6 shows an embodiment whose relief structure essentially has a triangular shape 11 in cross section.
  • One flank 12 is provided with a color layer 12, while the other flank is free of color.
  • a changed appearance of the print pattern becomes visible, namely changing between a mere dash pattern (arrow on the left in FIG. 6) to a continuous colored area (arrow on the right in FIG. 6).
  • the perceptible brightness behaves asymmetrically if a color with low light transmission is used. If the card is tilted on the one side from a vertical view, the brightness increases, but when it is tilted on the other side it decreases.
  • This easily ascertainable security feature cannot be imitated by means of external counterfeiting measures, such as external imprints, and on the other hand, since it is located on the inside of the card, manipulations are inaccessible.

Claims (3)

1. Carte en un matériau synthétique thermoplastique avec des symboles de sécurité visibles sous un angle d'observation approprié, la carte étant composée d'au moins deux moitiés en matériau synthétique thermoplastique et possédant des surfaces extérieures planes, formées en un matériau synthétique transparent, les surfaces intérieures de chaque moité présentant une structure en relief positif respectivement une structure en relief négatif complémentaire, caractérisée en ce que la structure en relief forme un dessin composé de vallons et de collines essentiellement linéaires et parallèles, les flancs de chaque colline étant au moins partiellement recouverts d'une couche colorée et au moins une autre partie de chaque colline ne portant pas de couleur, de manière à ce que la surface colorée visible sous un premier angle d'observation, tant par transparence qu'en réflexion, soit nettement plus grande que sous un second angle d'observation.
2. Carte selon la revendication 1, caractérisée en ce que le dessin comporte des hiatus (13), les hiatus de différentes vallonnements étant alignés en ligne droite de manière à former des travées qui s'étendent perpendiculairement à l'orientation des collines.
3. Carte selon une des revendications précédentes, caractérisée en ce qu'une des moitiés (2, 3) est composée d'un matériau synthétique thermoplastique ayant un coefficient d'absorption de la lumière supérieur à celui de l'autre moité pour obtenir une caractéristique visuelle supplémentaire par transparence, de manière à ce que les structures en relief produisent au moins localement une variation de l'absorption de la lumière traversant la carte, de façon à ce que des variations correspondantes d'intensitié lumineuse soient visible en transparence à l'oeil nu.
