Abstract
In the case of a pocket lamp (1) with a halogen incandescent lamp (11), the reflector and lens system consists of an elliptical reflector part (12) which, in the direction of radiation, is firmly connected to a spherical zone-shaped reflector part (13), the larger opening of which points towards the elliptical reflector part (12) is. The system also includes an aspherical converging lens (16), which is attached at a certain distance - in the direction of radiation - in front of the reflector (12, 13). Between the spherical zone-shaped reflector part (13) and the aspherical converging lens (16), either an aperture (14) with a variable aperture (15) or a aperture with a fixed aperture can be moved along the optical axis. With the aid of the reflector and lens system as well as the aperture, the flashlight can be used to generate light cones with a variable opening angle, whereby the illuminated image areas have a very bright and completely uniform illumination with a sharp boundary.
Description
The invention relates to a flashlight with a housing which contains a halogen lamp, a reflector and possibly a lens system, a compartment for receiving batteries or accumulators and electrical connections and at least one switch for switching the halogen lamp on and off.
In recent years there has been an increasing attempt to equip flashlights for batteries or accumulators with halogen incandescent lamps instead of miniature incandescent lamps. A much brighter illumination of the image area is achieved through the use of such lamps, which produce light about four times brighter than miniature incandescent lamps. However, these flashlights usually only have a simple reflection system consisting of a parabolic reflector in the beam path and have no lenses or diaphragms. Here, when the reflector is adjusted (to generate light cones with different opening angles), completely uneven illumination of the illuminated area is achieved, which in addition has a "hole" in the center of the area, i.e. has a minimum.
The use of halogen incandescent lamps also opens up a new area of application, because with the help of flashlights equipped in this way, signals that are clearly visible over long distances can be given or striking points or signs can be found as pursuers do. For this it is necessary that a light cone with a small opening angle and a sharp boundary can be generated with the aid of the flashlight. However, this is not possible with the reflector and lens system previously used in these lights.
The aim of the invention is therefore to provide a pocket lamp with which a very bright and completely uniform illumination of the illuminated image area can be achieved. In addition, the luminaire should allow strong light bundling with a sharp boundary for a spot area.
- - ein elliptisches Reflektorteil, in dem die Halogenglühlampe angeordnet ist;
- - ein in Ausstrahlungsrichtung vor dem elliptischen Reflektorteil angebrachtes kugelzonenförmiges Reflektorteil, dessen größere Öffnung dem elliptischen Reflektorteil zugewandt ist;
- - eine in Ausstrahlungsrichtung in einem gewissen Abstand von dem elliptischen und dem kugelzonenförmigen Reflektorteil angebrachte asphärische Sammellinse;
- - An elliptical reflector part in which the halogen lamp is arranged;
- - A spherical zone-shaped reflector part, which is attached in the direction of emission in front of the elliptical reflector part and whose larger opening faces the elliptical reflector part;
- an aspherical converging lens mounted at a certain distance in the direction of radiation from the elliptical and spherical reflector parts;
- - A perforated diaphragm attached between the spherical zone-shaped reflector part and the aspherical converging lens.
With the help of the elliptical reflector part, the light rays emitted by the halogen incandescent lamp are reflected in the second focal point of the ellipse on which the elliptical reflector part is based. The spherical zone-shaped reflector part attached in front of the elliptical reflector part in the direction of radiation causes rays that are not detected by the elliptical reflector part or are misaligned due to the non-punctiform radiation source or due to imaging errors to be reflected back into the elliptical reflector part. Loss of luminous flux is largely prevented. The use of an aspherical converging lens largely prevents erroneous imaging of the diaphragm, as would be caused by a conventional biconvex lens. The pinhole ensures a sharp limitation of the emitted light cone. The reflector and lens system produces a bundle of rays with a sharp boundary, the illuminated image area of which has an illuminance that is completely constant over the area.
In a preferred embodiment, the flashlight has an opaque pinhole with an adjustable aperture between the spherical zone-shaped reflector part and the aspherical converging lens in the second focal point of the ellipse on which the elliptical reflector part is based. By enlarging or reducing the aperture, the exit angle of the beam can be varied and thus illuminated image areas of different sizes can be generated (flood spot).
It is also possible to replace the perforated diaphragm with a variable diaphragm opening, which is permanently installed in the beam path to use an opaque pinhole with a fixed aperture that can be moved along the optical axis. With this, too, light cones with different exit angles can be generated, the limitation of which, however, is not quite as sharp as with a fixed pinhole with an adjustable aperture.
In the second possibility, the perforated screen can also consist of transparent plastic, the aperture opening being surrounded by an opaque circular ring which forms a unit with the transparent plastic of the perforated screen. A diaphragm constructed in this way can be used to axially shift it to achieve both spot-like image areas with a sharp boundary and more extensive image areas with a continuous decrease in illumination towards the edge of the image area. The image area is sharply delimited if the light cone generated by the lamp with the aid of the reflector only falls on the hole in the diaphragm and a part of the opaque circular ring. However, if the cone of light strikes the transparent plastic material outside the opaque circular ring by correspondingly shifting the diaphragm, the sharp boundary of the image surface is additionally illuminated and blurred towards the edge by a continuous decrease in the illumination of the image surface.
So that no radiation is lost, the spherical zone-shaped reflector part is advantageously firmly connected to the elliptical reflector part.
The elliptical reflector part, the spherical zone-shaped reflector part, the aspherical converging lens and the The edges of the perforated panel are fastened in a lamp head comprising these parts. The type of attachment depends on both the design of the parts and the materials used. A cylindrical lamp head is particularly suitable for accommodating the reflector and lens system.
The invention is illustrated in more detail with reference to the following figure, which shows a longitudinal section through a flashlight according to the invention.
In the figure, a preferred embodiment of the flashlight 1 is shown, whose
