Abstract

1. A releasable hinge arrangement on a foldable hatch covering aboard ship, of which any two hatch covers (1, 2) involved may from a closed state lying side by side be moved relative to one another through 180 degrees into an upright parallel open position and have hinge eyes (4, 5) associated with one another, which in the operational state receive in openings aligned with one another a hingepin (6) which for release may be brought out of engagement with the hinge eye on the one hatch cover, characterized in that the hinge eye (4) on the one hatch cover (1) is made U-shaped and in the closed state of the hatch covers (1, 2) allows the escape of the hingepin (6) held in the hinge eye (5) of the other hatch cover (2), and that on the hinge eye (5) of the other hatch cover (2) a locking cam (7) is arranged concentric with the hingepin (6) in the form of an annular segment which in any state of the hatch covers (1, 2) between folded at all and folded together engages behind an axial thickening (4a) with a circular outer contour on the hinge eye (4) on the one hatch cover (1) and prevents the escape of the hingepin (6).

Description

The invention relates to a releasable hinge arrangement on foldable hatch covers for ship hatches, with hinge eyes which are assigned to one another and are provided on the two hatch covers involved and which, in the operating state, accommodate a hinge pin when the openings are aligned with one another, which can be brought out of engagement with the hinge eye of the one hatch cover for loosening .

Such a hinge arrangement is known from DE-PS 12 56 105 (column 4, line 67 to column 5, line 5) as a possible alternative to a device with the aid of which one of two hinge bolts can optionally be inserted into the aligned openings of hinge eyes can, which are attached to different points of a pair of hatch covers. In the completely separate state of the two hatch covers, each individual cover can be removed from the pairing or even more extensive coupling assembly of the gap cover, in order to allow partial opening of the hatch if necessary, so that, for example, containers can be loaded or unloaded at certain points of the hatch.

However, loosening the hinge connection by pulling out the hinge pin has practical disadvantages. The hinge pin is generally subjected to radially acting forces which resist its axial movement. In addition, the hinges serving to unfold (as opposed to opening) the covers of a pair of hatch covers are inevitably located below the hatch covers and are therefore only accessible from the hold when the hatch is closed. The hinges cannot be placed so far on the outside of the hatch cover that they are accessible from the outside, because this required a bulky construction, which generally does not allow the space on the bench.

The invention is therefore based on the object of specifying a detachable hinge arrangement which, on the one hand, allows easy removal of a hatch cover from a pair of hatch cover assemblies (when it is in its closed state), and on the other hand does not impair the safe unfolding of the hinged hatch covers hinged to one another.

This object is achieved in that the hinge eye of one hatch cover is U-shaped and in the closed state of the hatch cover allows the exit of the hinge pin held in the hinge eye of the other hatch cover, and that a locking cam is arranged on the hinge eye of the other hatch cover - Until the hatch cover is unfolded, it engages under the hinge eye of one hatch cover and prevents the hinge pin from escaping. If the 'other' hatch cover - without folding towards the adjacent, 'one' hatch cover - is raised, the coaxial hinge pins of the (naturally several provided) hinges emerge from the upwardly open U-shaped hinge eyes (which are actually no longer 'eyes') on that 'hatch cover' so that the hinge connection is released. The hinge connection can also be restored in a correspondingly opposite way.

If, on the other hand, the two hatch covers are raised together to form a folding angle (which deviates from 180 °), the hinge connection is locked with the help of the locking cam and remains in the fully unfolded hatch cover position, in which the hatch covers are parallel to each other parallel. Only in the fully unfolded state, when the two hatch covers are aligned again, does the locking cam - like the hinge pin attached to the 'other' hatch cover - come out of engagement with the U-shaped hinge eye on 'one' hatch cover, so that the hatch can be released Hinge connection would be possible again.

A further development of the invention provides a releasable locking device which prevents the hinge pin from escaping from the U-shaped hinge eye of one hatch cover even when the hatch cover is closed. Such a locking device can be provided as a safety measure against unintentional loosening of the hinge connection, for example, if there is a risk that during the rolling process of the two hatch covers arranged in alignment next to one another, the other hatch covers will jump up over the hatch opening due to an unevenness in the runways and thereby remove the hinge bolts from the Unintentionally unhook U-shaped hinge eyes on one hatch cover.

Such a locking device can advantageously be designed in such a way that a pin which is displaceable parallel to the hinge axis from a rest position into a working position is arranged on one hatch cover and in its working position rests against a link attached to the other hatch cover. The backdrop then preferably has the shape of a section from a circle around the hinge axis, which is so large that the pin in its working position comes out of engagement with the backdrop when a predetermined folding angle of the hatch cover is reached. Because if, for reasons of better accessibility, the pin is arranged at a transverse distance from the hinge axis, then it describes - held on one of the two hatch covers - when unfolding a circular arc relative to the hinged hatch cover on which the backdrop sits. Since the hinge connection is locked shortly after the locking cams begin to fold, the locking between pin and link can then be ineffective.

Weitere vorteilhafte Ausgestaltungen der Erfindung sind Gegenstand zusätzlicher Unteransprüche.Further advantageous embodiments of the invention are the subject of additional subclaims.

  • Fig. 2 mit ausgezogenen Linien eine Seitenansicht des in Fig. 1 gezeigten LukendeckelPaares und mit strichpunktierten Linien zwei unterschiedliche öffnungsstellungen der beteiligten Lukendeckel;
  • Fig. 3 ein Scharnier (allein) in Seitenansicht;
  • Fig. 4 eine Draufsicht auf das Scharnier;
  • Fig. 5 eine Verriegelungseinrichtung in Seitenansicht; und
  • Fig. 6 eine Draufsicht auf die Verriegelungseinrichtung.
The drawing illustrates the invention using an exemplary embodiment, namely:
  • Figure 1 in plan view a pair of hinged hatch covers with hinges arranged on the underside, in the closed state of the hatch cover.
  • 2 with solid lines a side view of the hatch cover pair shown in FIG. 1 and with dash-dotted lines two different opening positions of the hatch covers involved;
  • 3 shows a hinge (alone) in a side view;
  • 4 is a top view of the hinge;
  • 5 shows a locking device in a side view; and
  • Fig. 6 is a plan view of the locking device.

Two hatch covers 1, 2 are arranged in alignment in the usual manner in their closed state (= hatch covered) shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 (there with solid lines) and connected to one another by two hinges, which are denoted as a whole by 3. In practice, the hatch cover pair formed from hatch covers 1, 2 is usually part of a larger hatch cover assembly; this is not important in the present context.

The hinges 3, which are arranged for this purpose on the underside of the hatch covers 1, 2, allow the hatch covers to be folded up in a reverse V-shape, so that they finally assume the parallel relative position shown in broken lines in FIG. 2, in which they have access to the section of the cargo space that they cover when closed.

Each hinge 3 consists of a hinge eye 4, which is welded to the 'one' hatch cover 1 and - in the closed state of the hatch cover is open at the top - U-shaped, and two hinge eyes 5 which are welded to the 'other' hatch cover 2 and hold the hinge pin 6 between them (also welded). When the hinges 3 are closed, which one 1, 2 (solid lines), 3 and 4, the hinge pin 6 is located in the hinge eye 4 of the hatch cover 1, the hinge eye 4 extending parallel between the hinge eyes 5 of the hatch cover 2.

In each case on the side wall of the hinge eye 4 facing each hinge eye 5, locking cams 7 are arranged which, in the side view, have the shape of a circular ring cutout best seen in FIG. 3. The hinge axis 8 is the center of the circle, and the locking cam 7 is arranged concentrically with the circular outer contour of the hinge eye 4 (when the hinge pin 6 is in the hinge eye 4). A gusset plate 9 is used to fasten the hinge eye 4 to the hatch cover 1; and it should be pointed out that in FIG. 1 both the axial thickenings of the hinge eye 4 in relation to the gusset plate 9, which can be seen in FIG. 4, and the locking cams 7 are omitted for reasons of clarity.

Dabei tritt der von den Scharnieraugen 5 gehaltene Scharnierbolzen 6 aus dem U-förmigen Scharnierauge 4 am Lukendeckel 1 aus; der Sperrnocken 7 hindert diesen Vorgang ersichtlich nicht.FIG. 2 illustrates with the dash-dotted representation above the representation drawn with solid lines that the hatch cover 2 can be lifted out of its hinge connection with the hatch cover 1 in the direction of the arrow without the hatch cover 1 also moving. The hinge pin 6 held by the hinge eyes 5 emerges from the U-shaped hinge eye 4 on the hatch cover 1; the locking cam 7 obviously does not prevent this process.

If, on the other hand, you fold the cover pair formed by the hatch covers 1, 2 (reversely V-shaped), for example by tilting the hatch cover 1 - in the counterclockwise direction in FIG. 2 - the hatch cover 2 is then taken along, the hinge pin 6 rotating in the hinge eye 4. As a result, the locking cam 7 is simultaneously moved around the hinge eye 4, so that it now blocks the exit of the hinge pin 6 from the hinge eye 4 (without hindering the rotation of the hinge pin 6 in the hinge eye 4). At the end of the folding process, the hatch covers 1, 2 have then reached the relative position shown in dash-dotted lines in FIG. 2.

Theoretically, the locking cam 7 could be relatively short in the circumferential direction of the circular ring cutout, its circumferential extension always beginning at or just above the horizontal-dashed line in FIG. 3 through the hinge axis 8 (= parallel to the main plane of the hatch cover 2 through the hinge axis 8). However, since on the one hand a certain play must be provided between the locking cam 7 and the hinge eye 4 and on the other hand a cam that is too short could be more easily damaged, the exemplary embodiment shows a locking cam 7 which extends over a little more than 90 ° around the hinge eye 4.

Locking devices are also provided on the hatch covers 1, 2, which are designated as a whole by 10, and whose structure can be seen in detail in FIGS. 5 and 6. In the manner described above, the locking devices serve to secure the articulation of the hatch covers 1, 2 to one another by means of the hinges 3 against unintentional loosening of the hinge connection.

On the ('other') hatch cover 2 (on each side) is laterally attached a link 11, which has the shape of a section from a circle around the hinge axis 8 (FIG. 5). Laterally (again on each side) is held on the ('a') hatch cover 1 by means of an arm 12, a sleeve 13 which guides a pin 14 longitudinally displaceable in the direction of its axis 15, the axis 15 running parallel to the hinge axis 8 (and in the example vertically above it when hatch covers 1, 2 are in their closed state). A rod 16 radially attached to the pin 14 passes through a U-shaped cutout 17 in the sleeve 13. With the cutout 17, the rod 16, which at the same time serves as a hand lever for the pin 14, delimits its axial displacement path. If the rod 16 is located in the leg of the U-shaped cutout 17 near the hatch cover, the pin 14 engages over the link 11 (FIG. 6); they are located in the other leg of the cutout 17, so no vertical U is berdeckunc of slide 11 and, pin fourteenth

If the pins 14 assume the locking position shown in FIGS. 1 and 6 relative to the associated scenes 11 of the locking devices 10, then the contact of the scenes 11 with the associated pins 14 prevents the hinge connection between the hatch covers 1, 2 from being released by moving the hinge bolts 6 out from the hinge eyes 4 (right dash-dotted position in Fig. 2) also in the closed state of the hatch covers 1, 2, as is the basis of Figures 1 and 2 (solid lines) and corresponding to Figures 3 to 6. The circular section shape of the scenes 11 with the hinge axis 8 as the center does not hinder the relative folding movement of the hatch covers 1, 2, rather, the pin 14 located in its locking position moves along the circular surface of the link 11. Since during the folding movement - as explained above - the locking cam 7 comes into a position in which it blocks the opening of the hinge connection and in this respect takes over the function of the locking device 10 , this locking function is no longer required for the folding process beyond that. The locking relative position of the link 11 and pin 14 thus only needs to be maintained over a relatively small part of the folding process, and the size of the circular section forming the link 11 is chosen accordingly. Upon further folding, the pin 14 leaves the backdrop 11, so that these components finally - in the completely folded state of the hatch cover pair formed from the hatch covers 1, 2 - assume the relative position shown in dash-dotted lines on the left in FIG. 2.

If - starting from the closed state of the hatch covers 1, 2 - the hatch cover 2 is to be lifted off by itself, then the pins 14 are withdrawn axially with the aid of the rods 16, so that the scenes 11 on the hatch cover 2 can pass unhindered.
