Definitions
- the invention relates to a ridge ventilation element with a labyrinth-shaped air passage.
- Such ridge ventilation elements are known from DE-OS 2 451 058, wherein a plurality of individual channels arranged one behind the other in a row in the roof longitudinal direction at a distance from one another are provided with end openings which are open towards the opposite roof slopes.
- Ceiling walls extend from the outer end edges of each individual duct and end at a distance from the ridge beam. The facing end edges of the ceiling walls leave an opening between them.
- air baffles are provided at a distance from one another, which extend between the floor and the ceiling wall. End cover strips of the roof covering also serve to hold the individual channels designed as insert pieces.
- the individual channels are then overlaid by a ridge cap, which rests on the ridge beam in its central area. There are spacing spaces between the individual channels, which act as air access zones. This configuration makes it difficult to attach roof covers.
- the object of the invention is based on the object of designing a ridge ventilation element of the type required in such a way that, in addition to good roof ventilation, the ridge cover can be produced more easily.
- ridge ventilation element is designed as an intermediate piece between two adjacent ridge pans.
- the creation of the ridge cover can be carried out more easily.
- Commercial ridge pans can be used.
- the ridge ventilation element must be placed between two ridge pans.
- the ridge ventilation element is designed so that it represents the coupling connection between two ridge pans. Their position is therefore stabilized.
- the labyrinthine air passage of the ridge ventilation element is designed so that flying snow or driving rain cannot enter the interior of the roof. Otherwise there is a good extraction of the exhaust air.
- ridge pan support strips protrude from the side flanks of the inner dome. As a result, the ridge pans do not need to be attached separately. It is determined using the ridge pan support strips on which the ridge pans are supported. The ridge pans cannot be lifted off by the ridge pan that overlaps them NEN cover strips secured. These cover strips and support strips lead to a labyrinth-like seal in connection with the face of the ridge pan.
- hood is equipped with a fastening screw passage hole in its apex is very convenient for a quick and permanent fixing of the ridge ventilation element.
- the tightness is further increased in that the ridge pan cover strip protrudes beyond a hood side flank directed towards it.
- the ridge pan support strips are at different heights.
- the arrangement of roofs with ridge ventilation elements according to claim 1 with insulation space is characterized in that the insulation space connected to the inner dome is divided by an under-roofing membrane equipped with openings, which under-roof membrane ends under a eaves-sided support, which ends as Air passage shaft and labyrinth-like shaft entrance is designed.
- the supply air flowing in through the air passage shaft on the eaves side can now ventilate the space between the roof tiles and the underlay and the insulation space, which supply air then exits through the ridge ventilation element.
- the ridge beam bears the reference number 1. This serves as a support for the upper end of the rafters 2 lying in the roof pitch. Two of these rafters 2 are located on the same cross-sectional plane. The distance between two adjacent rafters 2 is the same.
- a roofing membrane 3 lies on the rafters 2.
- Counter battens 4 which run in the roof pitch and which clamp the sarking membrane 3 between the rafters 2 and themselves, serve to bind them.
- the eaves-side end of the underlay 3 is overlaid by a support 5 running on the eaves, which is designed as a shaft. The latter tapers in the direction of flow.
- the labyrinth wall 6 lying on the input side is formed by angling the ceiling 7.
- a further labyrinth wall 8 extends parallel to the labyrinth wall 6 and in turn extends from the floor 9.
- the labyrinth walls 6 and 8 are designed such that they overlap one another and force a zigzag-shaped passage of the supply air.
- the shaft-shaped support 5 is dimensioned so long in the eaves direction that it rests on the rafters 2 at the end. Accordingly, several such supports 5 are arranged one behind the other in the eaves direction.
- roof battens 10 are fastened on the counter battens, which in turn are overlapped by the hooking ends 11 of the roof tiles 12.
- the lower roof tiles running on the eaves side are supported on the supports 5 and protrude to a certain extent from the front end of the rafters.
- Brackets 13 for a rain gutter, not shown, are attached to these ends. It is thereby achieved that the supply air flows in below the rain gutter into the labyrinth-like support 5.
- the counter battens 4 end at a short distance in front of the supports.
- the sarking membrane 3 has, beyond its section running under the first roof batten 10 adjacent to the shaft 5, an opening 15 surrounded by an upwardly directed collar 14.
- the collar 14 is in turn fastened to the underside of two roof batten 10 lying parallel to one another. In this way, a dome is formed in the area of the opening 15, so that when the roof is leaking, water located above the roofing membrane 3 flows out through the shaft 5.
- An intermediate insulation layer 16 is present between each two rafters 2. Their thickness is less than the thickness of the rafters, so that an intermediate space 17 remains between the underlay 3 and the insulation intermediate layer 16.
- a ridge cover designated as a whole by 18, is assigned to the ridge.
- the essential components thereof are a ridge batten 19 carried by the rafters 2, ridge pans 20 and ridge ventilation elements 21 each arranged between two ridge pans 20.
- Each ridge ventilation element has an inner dome 25 designed in accordance with the curvature of the ridge pans 20.
- Their about ringab cut side flanks 22 are connected at their lower ends by webs 23 which rest on the surface of the ridge-side roof tiles 12.
- the upper edge R of the inner dome 25 is overlapped at a distance from a shape-adapted hood 24 such that the hood overlaps the inner dome 25 on all sides at a distance.
- the hood side flanks 26 running in the form of a ring section are also adapted to the curvature of the ridge pan 20 in such a way that the lower ends of the hood side flanks 26 are connected to one another by webs 27.
- the hood 24 is held at a distance by support webs 28 of the side flanks 22 of the inner dome 25.
- the support webs 28 are fixed in a suitable manner on the hood 24, for example by plastic welding or gluing.
- the webs 23, 27 and the side flanks 22, 26 overlap to form a labyrinthine throughflow opening. This is dimensioned such that neither driving rain nor flying snow can enter the ridge ventilation element 21.
- the hood 24 contains in its apex 29 a through hole 30 for a fastening screw 31 which engages in the ridge batten 19 and braces the webs 23 of the inner dome 25 against the adjacent roof tiles 12.
- Ridge pan cover strips 32, 33 extend from the side flanks 22 of the inner dome 25 and protrude beyond the hood side flank 26 directed towards them.
- the curvature of the ridge pan cover strips 32, 33 corresponds to the outer curvature of the ridge pan 20.
- ridge pan support strips 34, 35 protrude from the side flanks 22 of the inner dome. Their outer curvature corresponds to the inner curvature of the ridge pan 20.
- the end faces 20 'of the ridge pan 20 enter the interior formed by the cover strips and support strips.
- the lower edge of the ridge pan ends just above the facing one Roof tiles 12 so that the ridge tiles are held without additional funds.
- the incoming air flowing in through the shaft 5 reaches, according to the arrows, both into the intermediate space 17 and into the space above the roofing membrane 3 and from there to the roof ridge, from where the air according to the direction of the arrow through the webs 23 and 27, which are in a labyrinthine manner, and side flanks 22 and 26 leaves the ridge ventilation element. In this way a homogeneous optimal ventilation is achieved.
- the ridge pan support strips 34, 35 extend at different heights from one another, so that the ridge pan 20, when they are each clamped between two ridge ventilation elements, assume an inclined course.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a ridge ventilation element with a labyrinth-shaped air passage.
Such ridge ventilation elements are known from DE-OS 2 451 058, wherein a plurality of individual channels arranged one behind the other in a row in the roof longitudinal direction at a distance from one another are provided with end openings which are open towards the opposite roof slopes. Ceiling walls extend from the outer end edges of each individual duct and end at a distance from the ridge beam. The facing end edges of the ceiling walls leave an opening between them. In the area of the mouth cross-sections of the single channel, air baffles are provided at a distance from one another, which extend between the floor and the ceiling wall. End cover strips of the roof covering also serve to hold the individual channels designed as insert pieces. The individual channels are then overlaid by a ridge cap, which rests on the ridge beam in its central area. There are spacing spaces between the individual channels, which act as air access zones. This configuration makes it difficult to attach roof covers.
The object of the invention is based on the object of designing a ridge ventilation element of the type required in such a way that, in addition to good roof ventilation, the ridge cover can be produced more easily.
This object is achieved in that the ridge ventilation element is designed as an intermediate piece between two adjacent ridge pans.
As a result of such a configuration, the creation of the ridge cover can be carried out more easily. Commercial ridge pans can be used. The ridge ventilation element must be placed between two ridge pans. The ridge ventilation element is designed so that it represents the coupling connection between two ridge pans. Their position is therefore stabilized. The labyrinthine air passage of the ridge ventilation element is designed so that flying snow or driving rain cannot enter the interior of the roof. Otherwise there is a good extraction of the exhaust air.
An advantageous further development is to be seen in arranging an inner dome designed according to the curvature of the ridge pans, from whose side flanks cantilever ridge cover strips protrude and the upper edge of which is covered by a shape-adapted hood. The ridge pan cover strips lead to a tight front end of the ridge pan, so that moisture cannot enter the interior of the roof from above. The hood overlapping the upper edge of the inner dome is designed so that it forms the labyrinth-like air passage path in connection with the inner dome. In contrast to the prior art described at the beginning, the roof ventilation or ventilation can therefore take place both longitudinally and transversely to the roof ridge.
It proves to be advantageous that under the ridge pan cover strips ridge pan support strips protrude from the side flanks of the inner dome.
Favorable ventilation conditions result when the hood overlaps the dome on all sides and at a distance.
The fact that the hood is equipped with a fastening screw passage hole in its apex is very convenient for a quick and permanent fixing of the ridge ventilation element.
The tightness is further increased in that the ridge pan cover strip protrudes beyond a hood side flank directed towards it.
In order to achieve a certain inclination when laying the ridge pans, the ridge pan support strips are at different heights.
The arrangement of roofs with ridge ventilation elements according to

- Fig. 4 in a larger representation a cross section through the roof ridge in the area of a ventilation element.
The ridge beam bears the
A roofing membrane 3 lies on the
Parallel to the
As a result of the
The sarking membrane 3 has, beyond its section running under the first roof batten 10 adjacent to the
An
A ridge cover, designated as a whole by 18, is assigned to the ridge. The essential components thereof are a ridge batten 19 carried by the
Each ridge ventilation element has an
The
Die Krümmung der Firstpfannen-Abdeckleisten 32, 33 entspricht der Außenkrümmung der Firstpfannen 20.Ridge pan cover strips 32, 33 extend from the side flanks 22 of the
Under the ridge pan cover strips 32, 33, ridge pan support strips 34, 35 protrude from the side flanks 22 of the inner dome. Their outer curvature corresponds to the inner curvature of the
The incoming air flowing in through the
As particularly illustrated in FIG. 3, the ridge pan support strips 34, 35 extend at different heights from one another, so that the
