Vor allem aber bedingt die Anordnung der Teile zueinander bei der bekannten Konstruktion, daß die Rastnase des Rasthebels durch eine Feder in Eingriff mit den Rastenausnehmungen an dem betreffenden Lenker gebracht und gehalten werden muß. Claims (3)

1. A bed frame comprising two longitudinal frame members (7) and transverse frame members (6) connecting the longitudinal frame members together, and a mattress support means (8) which is arranged between the longitudinal frame members (7), in particular spring wood bars, wherein at the foot end, at the inward sides of each of the two longitudinal frame members (7), a respective support bar (9) is connected to each longitudinal frame member (7) by way of two links (10, 11) which are directed in substantially the same direction and which are of different lengths and which form between the horizontal and themselves an acute angle which is open towards the foot end, and further an oppositely inclined locking lever (12) is pivotally connected by its upper end to the associated longitudinal frame member (7) and is mounted with a lateral locking projection (13) at its lower end displaceably in a guide (14) in such a way that the locking projection (13) can engage into any one of a plurality of locking recesses (15, 16) and can be returned beyond the end position back into the starting position, characterised in that the guide (14) which is provided with the locking recesses (15, 16) is secured to the support bar (9) in such a way as to extend in the longitudinal direction thereof and that, after passing the locking recesses (16) which occurs when the foot end is lifted, the locking projection (13) moves back into the starting position by way of a run-on surface (21) and a deflector switching means (20), with the foot end being lowered again.
2. A bed frame according to claim 1 characterised in that the deflector switching means (20) comprises an angular rigid slide member which is pivoted at one end.
3. A bed frame according to claim 1 or claim 2 characterised in that the two locking levers (12) are interconnected by a cross strut (25).
