Description

The invention relates to a humidifier with a lower housing part for receiving the storage water and a housing upper part which can be placed on the lower housing part, in which a blower and an evaporation body are arranged at a distance from the storage water and in which storage water can be dispensed from the lower housing part to the evaporation body via a pump line.

In a known air humidifier (US-A-3 914 439), the storage water is accommodated in a trough which can be slid into the humidifier housing and into which an evaporation body is immersed from above. Apart from the fact that the drawer-like tub leads to a complicated constructional effort of the humidifier, the evaporation body also hinders the cleaning of the tub-shaped storage container. In addition, due to the direct contact of the supply water with the walls of the tub, lime deposits are deposited on the tub, which are difficult to remove. In a further known humidifier (DE-B-28 24 186) with a housing upper part for receiving the blower and the evaporation body and a housing lower part which receives the storage water, the housing lower part is cumbersome to wash out for cleaning work, with the removal of the lime salts from the walls of the Lower part of the housing has to be time-consuming.

It is an object of the invention to make cleaning work on the housing part receiving the reservoir water superfluous with humidifiers of the type mentioned.

According to the invention, it is provided for this that the lower housing part interchangeably receives a liquid-tight insert made of thin, flexible material, which is permanently open on the upper side of the housing and is releasably secured to the lower housing part with the open peripheral side of the same. In the simplest version, the insert can be formed by a bag made of a film material. The use of a paper material for the production of the insert is also provided. To this . It is achieved that the periodic cleaning of the lower housing part can be easily carried out by simply replacing the insert, which is preferably designed as a disposable part, together with the lime and dirt deposits accumulated in it. This makes the humidifier particularly hygienic to use.

In a further embodiment of the humidifier, it is provided that the insert with the edge strip encompassing the open side extends over the edge of the lower housing part and is fixed in the separating surface between the lower housing part and the upper housing part by clamping the edge strip by means of the upper housing part. There is also the option of holding the insert on attachments fixed to the housing base.

Hierin bedeuten :

  • Fig. 1 einen Luftbefeuchter im Schnitt,
  • Fig. 2 einen Gehäuseunterteil perspektivisch
The invention is explained using exemplary embodiments in the drawing. Here mean:
  • 1 shows a humidifier in section,
  • Fig. 2 shows a lower housing part in perspective
  • Fig. 3 shows a partial section of an insert with lower housing part, enlarged and
  • Fig. 4 shows a section of a humidifier according to another embodiment.

In the figures, 1 denotes the lower housing part of a humidifier, on which a housing upper part 2 can be set up like a lid. In the area of the separation plane, the lower housing part 1 has a double edge 4 to form a receiving groove 3, into which the upper edge 2 of the housing 2 is immersed. As is known, the lower housing part 1 serves to hold reservoir water 8, while the upper housing part 2 carries a blower 5 with a pump device, an air guide cylinder 6 and an evaporation body 7. The supply water 8 passes through the pumping device to the evaporation body 7 and passes through it. Unused water flows back into the lower housing part 1 by gravity.

When the fan 5 rotates, the fan air flow is guided through or around the evaporation body 7 and directed outwards through the interior of the air guide cylinder. According to the invention, a removable insert 9 is arranged in the lower housing part 1, which is formed in FIG. 1 by a thin flexible film. The film is designed as a bag and is guided with the edge surfaces 9 'for holding over the edge 4. The bracket is, as illustrated in Fig. 3, supported by the clamping action of the erected upper housing part 2 and its engagement in the receiving groove 3. It is understood that the insert 9 in a different way, for. B. can be held by means of an edge strip (not shown) greater strength in the lower housing part 1.

The limescale and dirt particles that accumulate in the storage space when the humidifier is used are removed after the upper housing part 2 has been removed by lifting the insert 9 out of the lower housing part 1. The insert can preferably be designed as a disposable element, which makes a particularly hygienic and also quick removal of the lime and dirt particles from the humidifier possible. The humidifier is ready for operation by inserting a new insert.

In the exemplary embodiment in FIG. 2, the insert 9 is plugged onto lugs 10 fixed to the lower housing part in the region of the edge 4 of the lower housing part 1 and held in the lower housing part 1 by means of the latter.

In the humidifier of FIG. 4, an insert 9 made of a rigid material is set in the lower housing part 1, which makes it possible to remove the lime and dirt particles by lifting it out. The insert 9 is placed on the bottom surface of the lower housing part 1. It is possible to provide spacer supports 11 between the insert 9 and the bottom of the lower housing part 1.
