Claims (7)

An installation system with intermediate plugs for mechanically lockable electrical connection of prefabricated leads each intermediate plug being essentially constituted by a flat body with connecting pins (3) at one of its ends and connecting sockets (4) at its other end and allowing additional outlet connections to be made, characterised in that at least one intermediate plug (1) fits into an opening (5) in an installation box (2) and exhibits flexible connecting leads (7) which are located between its connecting pins (3) and its connecting sockets (4) and are connected electrically with its leads connecting the connecting pins (3) to the connecting sockets (4).
2. An installation system as claimed in claim 1, characterised in that the intermediate plug fits in aligned lateral openings (5, 6) in the wall of an installation box (2) of standard dimensions, and can be immobilised therein with locking means.
3. An installation box as claimed in claim 2, characterised in that the intermediate plug (1) exhibits a housing consisting of two plastic shells (15, 15a) connected together by means of a hinge (14).
4. An installation system as claimed in claim 3, characterised in that the housing of the intermediate plug is configured for form-locking accommodation of pin-type connecting devices (16) and socket-type connecting devices (17).
5. An installation system as claimed in claim 2, characterised in that the intermediate plug (1) exhibits a saddle-shaped narrowing between its ends and carries the flexible connecting leads (7) at the saddle-shaped narrowing.
6. An installation system as claimed in claim 2, characterised in that the intermediate plug (1) passes through and is locked by one of the aligned openings (5) in the installation box (2) and fits into the other opening by means of a guiding edge (13).
7. An installation system as claimed in claim 2, characterised in that the installation box (2) of standard dimensions exhibits pre-stamped openings (5, 6) for the intermediate plug (1) in its walls.
