Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a device for mounting a false ceiling consisting of a horizontally stretched sheet.
False ceilings are already known which include, on the one hand, a horizontal frame fixed to the upper part of the walls of a room, this frame being formed by an outer rail itself made up of butted sections, and, on the other hand part, a tablecloth stretched horizontally inside this frame, this tablecloth being constituted by a plastic sheet or a canvas. The tablecloth is kept taut due to the attachment, on the heddle of a border integral with the tablecloth and which has in cross section the appearance of a hook coming to grip on a shoulder.
The device for mounting a false ceiling of this kind has proved satisfactory as long as the area of the room to be fitted is not too large and the weight of the material constituting the sheet per square meter is not not too high. Indeed, in the case of a relatively heavy sheet, this sheet is found to have a relatively large deflection in the center of the part, even if there is a significant traction on the edges of this sheet, at the place where it is hung. to the peripheral rail. To remedy this drawback, consideration has already been given to fixing a profile forming an intermediate support to the ceiling, in the middle position, to which the edges of two adjacent strips are hung. However, such a solution has the disadvantage of revealing, in the middle of the false ceiling, the profile constituting the intermediate support, which obviously affects the aesthetics of the entire room.
The present invention aims mainly to remedy this drawback by providing a mounting device of particularly simple design making it possible to obtain a perfectly stretched sheet regardless of the surface of the room to be fitted with the false ceiling and the weight of the sheet.
To this end, this device for mounting a false ceiling consisting of a stretched sheet, comprising a smooth exterior made up of profiles fixed to the upper part. higher of the walls and having a shoulder on which a hook-shaped border integral with the sheet is gripped, is characterized in that the sheet consists of at least two parallel and adjacent strips connected to each other along a junction line situated at a certain distance from the free edges of the two strips so as to leave free, from this junction line, a tongue made up of the two free marginal zones of the two strips and in that means intermediaries for attaching the sheet to the ceiling are fixed to the ceiling, above the junction line or lines between adjacent strips, to support the tab or tabs forming intermediate suspension elements between the sheet and the hooking means attached to the ceiling.
The device according to the invention offers the advantage that it makes it possible to maintain in a perfect horizontal position a sheet of canvas or plastic material even over a very large area, without this sheet, whatever its weight, showing an arrow important unsightly. Furthermore, it also makes it possible to mount a false ceiling according to the profile of the ceiling itself, when the latter is not completely horizontal.
- Figure 1 is a vertical sectional view of a false ceiling mounted by means of the device according to the invention.
- Figures 2 and 3 are partial perspective views of an alternative embodiment of the ceiling attachment means.
- Figure 4 is a vertical sectional view of an alternative embodiment of the attachment means to the ceiling.
- Figure 5 is a perspective view of another alternative embodiment of the ceiling attachment means.
- Figure 6 is a vertical sectional view illustrating the possibility of mounting a false ceiling adapted to a ceiling which is not completely horizontal.
In Figure 1 is shown a false ceiling 1 which is mounted under the
In order to obtain a perfectly horizontal stretched sheet, whatever the surface of the part and the weight of the material constituting the sheet, provision is made, according to the invention, to suspend the sheet from the
The connection between the two

In FIG. 2, these means comprise a
In the embodiment illustrated in FIG. 4, the intermediate hooking means comprise a
In the variant illustrated in FIG. 5, the
