Description
The invention relates to a device for surface treatment, in particular for cleaning, polishing and grinding, consisting of a housing, optionally with a handle arranged thereon, an electric motor at least partially enclosed by the housing and running unbalanced by a flywheel, with an end facing the flywheel Tool carrier is connected to a tool, and the unit consisting of motor and tool carrier is pendulum-like at the end of the motor opposite the flywheel weight by means of a pivotable holder arranged in the housing or on the handle, and in the area of the flywheel weight by a pivot pin arranged between tool carrier and housing or the like. Existing oscillating bearing is held in a vibrating manner on the housing and thus transmits an essentially circular oscillating oscillating movement to an object to be treated.
In a known device of the type mentioned (EP-A-0 012 129), the tool and the tool holder receiving it are connected inelastically via a fixed connection to the motor which runs out of balance due to a flywheel weight, this unit being mounted so that it can swing in the housing so that a circular oscillating oscillating movement can be transferred to an object to be treated. Since the motor shaft does not act directly on the tool carrier and eccentrics or the like are not required for the transmission of vibrations, a considerably lower drive power is required.
On the other hand, the much lower weight of the device disadvantageously causes the person operating the device to an excessively high working pressure, in the opinion that this can improve the treatment result. Although this does not result in an overload of the motor due to the lack of a mechanical connection between the motor shaft and the tool holder, longer, longer pressure loads can lead to premature wear of the motor mounting, since the vibrations are then diverted to the housing.
The invention has for its object to eliminate this disadvantage in a device of the type mentioned.
According to the invention, this is achieved in that the motor and tool carrier are connected to one another by an additional elastic holder which acts more rigidly with respect to the elastic oscillating bearing. Thus, another vibration system is formed within the existing oscillating system, which enables the drive motor from a previously bestimmberen Andruckbelastung in the Q same way - namely in a circular oscillatory movement pendetndt.n - weiterzuschwingen. Until this effect, which is determined by the selection of the elasticity of the additional elastic holder, comes into effect, the mode of operation of the device with or without the additional elastic holder is the same.
Further developments of the invention are presented in the subclaims. These relate in particular to preferred configurations and arrangements of the elastic connection, which is additionally arranged between the motor and the tool carrier or tool and is referred to as an elastic holder.

In Fig. 1, the electric motor 1 is driven unbalanced by the
The housing 4 consists of three parts, namely the load-bearing housing part 4, which tapers towards the
The motor 1 and the
The double-
Like all other housing parts, the tool carrier is made of thin-walled pressed plastic parts. This is bowl-shaped and can fasteners on its circumference, for. B. record a
Furthermore, a

The additional
The device according to the invention can be operated directly from the mains or via a mains transformer or by means of rechargeable batteries. By attaching a handle, this can also be used as a floor device.
It is also within the scope of the invention to design a device of the type according to the invention as a massage device.
