Definitions

  • the invention relates to a drinking vessel with a conical cup in particular and a holder according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • Such a drinking vessel is known from GB-A-556795.
  • the ring encompassing the cup is designed as a metal band which can be releasably connected to a handle part at both ends.
  • the grip part To attach the holder to the cup, the grip part must first be hung with its nose on the upper edge of the cup.
  • the metal band is then placed around the cup and connected to the handle via a screw-nut arrangement.
  • the metal band must then be pushed upwards until it lies against the cup under a certain pretension.
  • a screw arranged at the lower end of the handle, the end of which is supported on the cup wall must be screwed in until the required pretension is reached.
  • the holding device consists of a large number of individual parts and assembly or disassembly is therefore very difficult and expensive. With thermal expansion there is also the risk that the holder loosens and a secure connection between the holder and the cup is no longer guaranteed.
  • This drinking vessel consists of a cup with a holder, the holder consisting of a ring encompassing the cup and a handle part formed thereon.
  • the cup has vertical grooves that end in a horizontal circumferential groove.
  • the ring encompassing the cup has inwardly projecting projections.
  • the holder is slid on from below in such an angular position that the projections run in the grooves.
  • the ring is rotated relative to the cup, so that the projections, which are now offset with respect to the grooves, prevent the holder from being pushed off the cup.
  • the free arm of the handle rests under elastic tension on the edge of the cup.
  • the cup is specially designed, i. H. must be provided with a horizontal circumferential groove and vertical grooves.
  • the present invention is based on the object of developing the holder known from the prior art discussed above in such a way that it has a simpler construction and is easier to assemble and disassemble. At the same time, a secure connection between the holder and the cup should be ensured at the same time.
  • the holder is made in one piece from elastically deformable plastic and the support of the handle is pushed elastically radially outwards when the holder is pushed onto the cup, due to the elastic deformation of the handle or the ring the holder is also in the event of thermal expansion of the cup or Ring is always securely attached to the cup.
  • the holder is attached to the cup by simply pushing the holder onto the cup from below, which automatically generates the required pretension.
  • the average diameter of the ring and the length of the handle are coordinated so that the upper support is in the area of the cup rim when the ring is attached. On the one hand, this enables the holder to be easily attached to the cup and, on the other hand, a secure connection between the holder and the cup is achieved.
  • a cylindrical cup with a shoulder can also be used, the ring of the holder pushing against the shoulder after being pushed onto the cup and thus locking the cup in the axial direction in cooperation with the edge claw.
  • the drinking vessel generally designated 1 in FIG. 1 essentially comprises the conical cup 2 and the drinking vessel holder generally designated 3, which consists of the handle 4 and the ring 5.
  • the holder 3 is drawn in the assembled state and shows how the handle 4 is supported on the two bearings 6 and 7, which are on different diameters and press against the outer wall of the cup.
  • the force exerted by the pre-tension acts maximally at point 8 shown in FIG. 1 via the ring on the outside wall of the cup and goes towards zero at the circumference in the direction of the connection point ring-grip, so that even the ring detaches from the outside wall of the cup at this point ( see Figure 2, position 12).
  • the ring 5 encompassing the cup, as shown in FIG. 2, is connected to the handle approximately in the middle of the handle web (13) parallel to the cup outer wall, since here a maximum prestress can be introduced and transmitted to the cup via the ring.
  • the handle 4 has a claw 9 at the upper end, which overlaps the upper edge of the drinking vessel under pretension.
  • the cup Due to the claw 9 and the conicity of the ring and the associated tight contact of the ring after assembly on a large part of the circumference, the cup is completely locked in the axial direction.
  • the cup is fixed in its position by the holder both when lifting and when setting down the entire drinking vessel.
  • a bead 10 As shown in FIG. 2 and often present in machine-made glass cups, is not necessarily required, but the cup can also be made without a bead or from a material other than glass.
  • the drinking vessel holder consists of an elastic plastic, which allows easy assembly and disassembly and is able to maintain the applied pre-tension constantly.
  • the handle 4 itself is D-shaped, i.e. i.e., formed with an opening inside. This design enables a safe grip even with a full vessel and still creates the possibility, for. B. in a camper or on a ship with a solid cord or a stick to keep the drinking vessel at a certain place.
  • Handle and ring as components of the holder are integrally formed.
  • the reference dimension 11 (see FIG. 2) can be kept constant, while undesired shifts in the reference dimension and wear of the connection point could occur if the ring and handle were installed separately.
  • FIG. 3 Further advantageous configurations of the handle are shown in FIG. 3.
  • the grip openings shown there enable grasping with multiple fingers.
