Description

The invention relates to a planer according to the type of the main claim. Such hand planes are already known from CH-A-252181 or AT-B-165140. However, the setting devices can only be checked during setting by means of additional measuring means and / or are relatively imprecise and not sufficiently stable. The adjustment work also requires a lot of skill, because when you tighten the clamping screw, the position you visit changes again and again. Wherever adjustment is made easier with a spring, even small vibrations can negate the setting success.

The planer according to the invention with the characterizing features of the main claim has the advantage of an extremely simple structure and yet high stability with easy handling. The set planing depth can be read directly from the part of the machine that is set to change the planing depth without additional means, because the upper surface of the wedge has a scale that can be read from the housing edge assigned to it. In addition, the wedge has good guidance through at least one guide rail and at least one guide groove. The locking device assigned to the planer housing, which secures the various settings for different planing depths by means of a spring by pulling the wedge into the engaged position, enables simple, quick and safe adjustment.

An embodiment of the subject of the invention is shown in the drawing and explained in more detail in the following description. The figure shows a partial side view of a hand planer with the adjusting device according to the invention, partially in section.

Beschreibung des AusführungsbeispielsDescription of the embodiment

A hand planer 1 with a hand planer housing 2 is shown. The hand planer housing 2 has an inclined support surface 3. A wedge 4 is attached to this support surface, which carries on its upper surface a scale 5, a grid 6 and a web 7 serving as a handle. In addition to this web 7, an eyelet 8 is also arranged on the surface of the wedge 4, in which a tension spring 9 can engage. Your abutment finds this tension spring 9 on an eyelet 10 on the inside of the upper wall of the planer housing 2. This upper housing wall also has a longitudinal opening 11 through which the end of the web 7 projects. A web 12 in the interior of the planer housing 2 has a locking edge with which it can engage in the grid 6. The division of the grid 6 is adapted to the division of the scale 5. Both divisions indicate a corresponding dimension in millimeters for the variable position of a support surface 13 of part 4, which corresponds to the planing depth set. The longitudinal opening 11 also gives the web 7, which protrudes as a handle from the planer housing 2 at the top, a longitudinal guide. The front edge of the planer housing 2, which is used to read the scale 5, is designated by 14.

To adjust the planing depth, press the web 7 into the planer housing until the grid 6 of the wedge 4 is lifted off the web 12. Then you move the wedge 4 with the web 7 until the desired planing depth can be read off using the edge 14 and the scale 5. If you now let go of the web 7, the tension spring 9 pulls the catch 6 back into the engagement position with the web 12. The planing depth set is thus secured.
