Description

The present invention relates to a packaging, for example of cardboard, of the pallet-box type secured to a pallet, for example of wood, and folded over it, allowing instant and automatic implementation and easy storage, and being ideal to be used repeatedly, that is to say in multirotation, as described, for example in documents FR-A-2102 883 and FR-A-2 328 620. A bell cover can cover the whole. In the various known packages of this kind, the cardboard container is only partially secured to the pallet. Such devices are impractical to use, lack stability on the pallet, the body of the container overflowing thereof, thus offering points of weakness during transport and stacking. On the other hand, manufacturing is complicated (special case, belt, cutout), resulting in a high cost price.

The packaging of the invention makes it possible to avoid these drawbacks, hence the wider use of the stapled cardboard container on a pallet, in the case in particular of multirotation and handling by female personnel.

The present packaging comprises a conventional cardboard half-box, the manufacture of which requires no special tools, and which is shaped from one and the same cardboard blank. This box is therefore formed of a single element and has only one stitching or stapling, located at an angle and over its entire height.

This packaging can be mounted by a simple movement of rotation and straightening without having to set up a bottom, a belt or another element, the box being deployed and ready for use or folded over the palette.

Using a conventional cardboard half-box formed of a single element, by simple grooves parallel to the articulation line of the flaps forming the bottom of the box with their adjacent sides, a part is obtained on said flaps allowing the fixing of the cardboard half-box and a second part allowing the articulation and folding of the half-box on the pallet. Two of the opposite sides, as well as their flaps not fixed on the pallet, have a center fold line parallel to the articulation between the sides, allowing the folding of the cardboard half-box on the wooden pallet.

The invention will be better understood with the aid of the description which follows, given with reference to the accompanying drawings which illustrate two examples of. realization of the invention.

The cardboard half-case according to the invention shown in the drawings is of the classic half-American type and formed of a single element.

Each of the flaps a1, b1, ci, d1 forming the bottom and adjacent to the lateral faces A, B, C, D, has two fold lines 4, 9 parallel to the articulation lines 5 of the flaps a1, b1, c1, d1 on their lateral faces A, B, C, D, thus creating two unequal parts 2, 10 allowing the fixing of one and / or the other on the pallet 1, and an articulated part 3 allowing the folding of the box on the palette.

The line of articulation 5 of the opposite sides B, D and their flaps b1. d1 not stapled on the pallet is a fold line allowing the folding of these flaps inside the cardboard half-box and the pressing of their internal faces against the internal faces of their respective sides. This same articulation line 5 between the side C and its flap c1 allows the folding of this flap against its side, and its pressing, external face against external face, this in the case where only one of the flaps is stapled to the pallet ( Fig. 2).

The sides B, D and their flaps b1, d1 have a fold line perpendicular to the bottom of the body and parallel to the articulation line 7 of the sides A, B, C, D therebetween, thus creating by folding two bellows allowing the cardboard half-box to be folded back onto pallet 1 and covered with its bell cover 8 (Fig. 1). In the case of deployment of the box for use, the elastic property of the cardboard will cause the flaps b1, d1 to be pressed against the pallet without manual help, thus forming the bottom of the box.

Fig. 3 shows that only the fixing part 10 of the two opposite flaps a1, c1 on the sides A, C is stapled on the middle of the pallet 1, while the end edges of these stapled flaps are joined. The parts 2, 3 of these same flaps, created by the fold lines 9, 4, 5 are articulated allowing the cardboard box to be drawn up on the pallet. Side A has a cut-out flap 11 to facilitate loading. This device allows multi-rotation use thanks to perfect stability of the box on the pallet as well as great stability during transport.

The position of the fold lines 4, 9 can be variable depending on the height of the box, this in the two cases described.

The sum of the height of the cardboard half-box and the width of the articulated part 3 must not be greater than one of the dimensions of the pallet (Fig. 1). Otherwise, the position of the bell cover is reversed, and this cover will then receive the pallet and the crate.

The device of the invention is particularly recommended in the case of use in multirotation, for rapid assembly and easy storage. It offers great safety in use.

Claims (8)

1. A packing comprising a box of cardboard or other material fixed in a foldable manner on a pallet, characterised in that said box is of the semi-American type whose four flaps (a1, b1, c1, d1) forming the bottom and attached to the lateral sides by an articulation line, have two fold lines (4, 9) parallel to said articulation line, and two opposed lateral sides (B, D) and their flaps comprise a median fold line (6) parallel to the articulation line connecting the lateral sides to each other, so as to permit placing the semi-box in a flat position on the pallet (1).

2. A packing according to claim 1, characterised in that two opposed flaps (a1, c1) forming a part of the bottom attached to the lateral sides (A, C) by an articulation line (5), have two fold lines (4, 9) parallel to said articulation line (5). and the outer face of the part defined by the fold line (9) and the edge of the flaps is fixed to said pallet (1).

A packing according to claim 1, characterised in that a single one of the flaps (a1) forming a part of the bottom, attached to the corresponding lateral side (A) by an articulation line (5), has two fold lines (4, 9) parallel to said articulation line (5), and the outer face of the part defined by the fold line (4) and the edge of the flap is fixed to said pallet (1).

4. A packing according to claim 3, characterised in that the articulation line (5) of one of the lateral sides (C) and its flap (c1) is a fold line of said flap enabling the box to be put in a flat position on the pallet (1).

5. A packing according to any one of the claims 1 to 3, characterised in that two opposed lateral sides (B, D) comprise an articulation line (5) with their flaps (b1, d1), enabling said flaps to be folded inside the semi-box.

6. A packing according to claim 1 and 2, characterised in that the dimension of each flap between the fold line (9) and the articulation line (5) is equal to that between said fold line (9) and the edge of the pallet (1).

7. A packing according to claim 3, character ised in that the dimension of each flap between the articulation line (5) and the fold line (4) is equal to the dimension between said fold line (4) and the edge of the pallet (1).

8. A packing according to claim 2, characterised in that the part of each flap defined by the fold line (4) and the articulation line (5) is equal to the part defined by the fold line (9) and the edge of each of the flaps (a1, c1).
