Abstract

The box comprises a box (76) with a bottom wall, side walls (14,16,18,20) and a hinged cover (22).The cover comprises an upper wall (52) with the same surface area as the bottom. It is attached to one of the walls (16) by a first accordion folded band (56). A second accordion folded band (64) is hinged along the upper wall side opposite the other wall (16). This is followed by a first flap (68) of width equal to the height of the box. Second and third flaps (70,72) are hinged on the two other parallel sides of the cover upper walls, each having a width equal to the box height. Two of the side walls (18,20) have a double thickness and have foldable guide flaps (40,41). These guide flaps can be placed parallel to the side wall opposite to that carrying the cover at a small distance from it. They thus define with the side wall a small gap (74) in which can be inserted the first cover flap.

5 - Packaging according to claim 1, characterized in that on the entire inner face of the bottom wall (12) is bonded a film (80) of heat shrinkable material which is extended by two free portions capable of being folded over the wrapped object (78) in the box and to be welded together, then to be subjected to heat so as to shrink around the object.
