oblong shape.

  The present invention relates to a folding packaging flat, in a semi-rigid material such as cardboard or corrugated cardboard, for bottles or other

oblong shaped objects.

  0 n is known in the art of compartmentalized boxes, made from a single blank of cardboard or corrugated cardboard suitably precut and turned up, which have four lateral faces delimited by fold lines, and in which are mounted a number of partitions parallel to these lateral faces, which determine either with them or between

  According to the invention, two strips, defining flaps 12 and 13, are formed respectively in the walls 2 and 3, on the one hand, in the walls 3 and 4 joined by the strip 5, on the other hand. The two parts 12 and 13 have

an identical profile or not.

  Each of them is arranged symmetrically on the two walls on which it extends, respectively 2 and 3, 1 and 4, and is determined, on each of these walls: - by a fold line, respectively 14 and 15, 16 and 17, parallel to the fold lines by which these walls are hinged together and arranged equidistant from the longitudinal edges of the walls on which they are formed; - by cutting lines joining, on each of the walls 1-4, the ends of the fold lines 14-17 at the same point of the fold line connecting the walls 2, 3

and 1, 4.

  The flaps 6a - 9a and 6b - 9b being kept flat in the extension of the adjoining walls 1-4, the packaging is then preassembled: - by folding the packaging flat, obtained by pivoting the walls 1 and 4 around fold lines by which they are respectively articulated on the walls 2 and 3, in order to bring the face of the wall 1 intended to be turned towards the inside of the packaging against the corresponding face of the wall 2, with the strip 5 and the face of the panel 4 facing the inside of the packaging applied against the corresponding face of the panel 3, the strip 5 being disposed between the panel 3 and the panel 4; - and by simultaneous bonding, on the one hand, of one face of the strip 5, along its entire length, against the corresponding part of the panel 4, including the corresponding part 13a of the flap 13, and, on the other hand, of the tongue 18 against the corresponding part 5a of the other

tape face 5.

  These folding and gluing operations are carried out using an ordinary folder-gluer, not a

quick folder gluer.

  At the end of bonding, the part of the strip 5 underlying the half of the flap 13 formed on the wall 4 is therefore secured to this half of the flap and, at the same time to the tongue 18 of the flap 12, so that the two flaps 12 and

13 are integral with one another.

  When the packaging is shaped, this has the effect that the two halves of each flap are brought inside the packaging in a position perpendicular to the adjoining walls, by pivoting around the fold lines 14, 15, 16, 17, under the stress of the tongue 18, thus forming with the four adjoining walls four housings suitable for receiving bottles

  or other oblong objects (see Figure 4).

  While having the same advantages of simplicity and ease of assembly as the packaging of the known technique mentioned above, the packaging according to the invention therefore adds to it, by shifting the positioning of the flaps, the possibility of using for its pre-assembly by gluing a folder gluer of a type

  much simpler than that used previously.

Claims (4)

  1. Packaging foldable flat, in a semi-rigid material such as cardboard or corrugated cardboard, for bottles or other objects of oblong shape, this packaging being from a single blank suitably precut and repressed and comprising four side walls rectangular (1-4) of identical dimensions, to which are adjacent at their ends shutters (6a-9a, 6b-9b) able to be folded perpendicular to these walls and to be assembled together to form end parts, two first walls (2, 3) being contiguous to each other and to the other two walls (1, 4), or second walls, by fold lines parallel to each other, while one of the second walls (1) is adjacent laterally by a fold line parallel to the previous ones a strip (5) glued against the face of the second contiguous wall (4) facing inwards, this packaging being characterized in that: - a first flap (12 ) extends symmetrically on the first two walls (2, 3), on either side of the fold line by which they are hinged together, this flap (12) being defined respectively on these first walls by lines folding (14, 15) parallel to the preceding and equidistant from the edges of each of these first walls (2, 3), and by cutting lines which extend from the ends of these folding lines to that by which the first two walls are contiguous, the latter extending transversely over the first flap which it divides into two equal halves, a tongue (18) being cut out in one of these halves and attached by this fold line to the other half; - A second flap (13) extends symmetrically in corresponding position on the two second walls (1, 4), on either side of the fold line by which the strip (5) adjoining one of between them (1) is glued against the internal face of the other (4), this flap (13) being defined respectively on the two second walls (1, 4) by fold lines (16, 17) parallel to the previous ones and equidistant from the longitudinal edges of these walls, and by cutting lines which extend from the ends of these fold lines to that by which the strip (5) is attached to one (1) of the second walls , cutting lines also being formed in this strip below those of the second flap (4) against which it is glued up to the contiguous fold line, the latter extending transversely on the second flap which it divides into two equal halves; - And in that the tongue (18) of the first flap is glued against the part (5a) of the strip (5) underlying the half of the second flap (13) cut in the second wall (4) contiguous and glued against this half, so that the shaping of the preassembled packaging and folded flat has the effect, in a manner known per se, of causing the drive of the first and second flaps (12, 13) towards the interior of the packaging , under the stress of the tongue (18), so that the halves of the first and second flaps are placed perpendicular to the adjoining walls and define with these walls, in the packaging, four housings for bottles or other oblong shaped objects.   2. Packaging according to claim 1, characterized in that an edge of the tongue (18) corresponds to a cutting line defining a lateral edge of the first flap (12)   in the half of which this tab is cut.   3. Packaging folded flat according to one of the   claims 1 and 2, pre-assembled by gluing the strip   (5) adjoining the second wall (1) against the second contiguous wall (4), including against the corresponding part (13a) of half of the second flap (13) formed in this second wall (4), and by gluing the tongue (18) of half of the first flap (12) formed in the first wall (3) against the corresponding part (5a) of the strip (5),   with the flaps (6a - 9a; 6b - 9b) adjoining the walls (1-   4) arranged flat in line with these.   Zl 4.
