Dabei wird gleichwohl der Vorteil aufrechterhalten, daß die beiden Einheiten von unterschiedlichen Herstellern stammen können, die jeweils das Know-how der Umhüllungstechnik einerseits und der Umreifungstechnik andererseits beherrschen und auch jeweils die Wartung an den von ihnen stammenden Maschinen ohne Rücksicht auf die andere durchführen können. Maschine zum Einhüllen eines elastisch komprimierbaren Stapels, insbesondere von Druckschriften und Zeitungen, in eine Folienbanderole und zum Umreifen des umhüllten Stapels mit einem Band, die einen Einlauf-Flachförderer (5) für den Stapel (25), einen mit Zwischenraum sich daran anschließenden Fördertisch (14,19,20), Einrichtungen (8,9,10) zur Bildung eines den Zwischenraum durchlaufenden Folienvorhangs (11), eine über dem Fördertisch angeordnete Preßeinrichtung zum Zusammenpressen des Stapels vor dem Schließen der Banderole, eine hinter dem Folienvorhang angeordnete Schweißeinrichtung (12,14) zum Schließen und Abschweißen der vom Folienvorhang (11) um einen auf dem Fördertisch liegenden Stapel gebildeten Banderole und eine mit dem in der Schweißstellung auf dem Fördertisch liegenden Stapel zusammenwirkenden Umreifungseinrichtung (21) umfaßt, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Maschine aus zwei gesonderten, steuerungsmäßig verbindbaren Maschineneinheiten besteht, von denen die erste den Einlauf-Flachförderer (5), die Einrichtungen (8,9,10) zur Bildung des Folienvorhangs (11) und die Schweißeinrichtung (12) und die zweite wenigstens einen Teil des Fördertischs (14,19,20) und die Preß- und Umreifungseinrichtung (21,22) umfaßt.1.
