Definitions
- the invention relates to a cutting head for tunnel boring machines with chisels arranged on the circumference thereof and outlet nozzles for the exit of cooling water, which can be supplied with water via channels running inside the cutting head in the axial direction.
- the outlet nozzles for the outlet of cooling water can also be used for the spraying of water for the purpose of depositing dust, and a number of designs have become known in which such outlet nozzles are connected to the bit holder. With these designs, the water supply can be blocked or released by valves interacting with the chisels, and other congestions for the supply of water are also possible. In all cases, it is necessary to equip the S chrämkopfgrundMech with respective channels to allow the water supply to the individual nozzles.
- a aximum water supply is therefor provided, and from the AT-PS 359 453 is a training has become known in which the distribution of water to the nozzles by one to chrämkopfes in the axial direction of the S-extending, substantially cylindrical annular cavity occurs.
- the cutting head around g body consists mostly of simple ferritic steel and is therefore susceptible to corrosion.
- the water to be sprayed in the pit is usually not very pure, so that the risk of contamination of the bores and channels running in the cutting head is relatively great. As soon as the contamination reached a level at which bores are being laid, the cutting head became unusable for the desired application and the cleaning of the known designs was extremely complex.
- the invention now aims to provide a cutting head of the type mentioned, in which it is in it is easily possible to clean the cavities for the water supply to the nozzles.
- the invention essentially consists in that the channels running within the cutting head are designed as continuous channels in the axial direction of the cutting head, which are connected to the axial water supply bore through essentially radial bores and into which radial bores open to the outlet nozzles, and that the channels running through in the axial direction can be closed on at least one end face of the cutting head with releasable locking pieces.
- the channels for the distribution of the water to the nozzles are designed as continuous channels in the axial direction of the cutting head, which open into holes aligned with these channels, a cleaning rod can be inserted after removal of the closure piece or pieces and in this way achieve cleaning .
- the closure piece can be formed on the front side of the cutting head facing away from the cutting arm by a releasably fixed end disk of the cutting head.
- the sealing of the channels becomes complex with such a design.
- the training is therefore made for high water supply pressure in an advantageous manner that the through channels in the axial direction on at least one end face of the cutting head open into at least one bore aligned with these channels, which can be locked with separate detachable closure pieces for each bore.
- bores are provided on both end faces of the cutting head with the axial channels, so that dirt particles can be pierced with a cleaning rod over the entire length of the bores and can be discharged on the opposite end face through the cleaning rod.
- channels for the distribution of the water to the radial outlet nozzles are designed as bores which go through the entire axial length of the cutting head, since in such a design the wall area of the wall area due to the constant internal diameter of the channels channels designed as bores can be completely cleared.
- FIG. 1 shows a cross section through a cutting head according to the prior art
- FIG. 2 shows an analog section through an embodiment according to the invention
- FIG. 3 shows a section analogous to FIG. 1 through a modified embodiment.
- the cutting head 1 is constructed from disks 2 welded to one another and rotatably supported on a cutting arm, not shown.
- the last stage of the reduction gear is indicated by dashed lines at 3.
- the cutting head 1 is mounted on a carrier 4 connected to the cutting arm via rolling bearings 5.
- the water is first supplied via channels 6 in the carrier 4 and opens into a distributor space 7, via which it is guided via an axial feed line 8, which is sealed accordingly, and radial lines 9, into which distributor cavities 10 extending in the axial direction of the cutting head are guided.
- the face plate 11 of the cutting head 1 is connected to the base body of the cutting head by screws.
- the water passes from the annular space 10 via essentially radial bores 13 to the outlet nozzles, which can be accommodated in the bit holder.
- At least three holes 14 are provided in the axial direction of the cutting head instead of the annular space 10, which are closed on both sides with closure pieces 15.
- the design as shown in the upper part of FIG. 2, can also be such that the bore 14 is divided into two bores 16 which are connected to one another via a radial bore 17. Even with such an embodiment, the bores 14 and 16 can still be cleaned after the closure pieces 15 have been loosened.
- the water supply to these bores 14 and 16, of which at least three are arranged distributed in the circumferential direction of the cutting head 1, can take place essentially analogously to the embodiment according to FIG. 1 and is not shown again.
- the individual disks 2 are welded to one another with their end faces, one disk 2 each having a recess which extends in the radial direction indicated by the arrow 18 and which extends over a partial region a.
- This partial area a is larger than the diameter b of the bores 14 and 16 and is filled up by melting an electrode when the individual disks 2 are connected.
- the holes 14 and 16 are now passed through the welds, which are designated by 19, so that there is a smooth inner surface as the wall of the hole.
- the closure pieces 15 have a screw thread 20, which is screwed into a corresponding internal thread 21 on the end faces of the bores 14 and 16, respectively.
- FIG. 3 shows a further embodiment of a cutting head 1, which in turn is composed of individual disks 2.
- the water is in turn supplied via an axial feed line 8 shown in its end region.
- the radial lines to the distributor cavities 10 extending in the axial direction of the cutting head are again designated by 9.
- disks 2 are provided with holes 22 penetrating these disks, the disk 2 adjacent to the cutting arm in turn carrying a closure piece 15.
- the disks 2 are welded to one another with the interposition of disks 24, wall parts 25 being welded inward to limit the channels in the radial direction, which wall portions are formed in the circumferential direction of the cutting head for reasons of easier assembly.
- the bores 22 of the disks 2 are aligned in the axial direction of the cutting head indicated by the arrow 26 and, just like in the embodiment according to FIG.
- the face plate 23 is releasably connected via a sealing element 27 to the adjacent plate 2 of the cutting head, so that after removing the front face plate and the rear closure piece 15 as well as in the through bore 14 in FIG. 2, the deposits at the respective insertion point of the Cleaning rod facing away can be pushed through and deployed.

Description
The invention relates to a cutting head for tunnel boring machines with chisels arranged on the circumference thereof and outlet nozzles for the exit of cooling water, which can be supplied with water via channels running inside the cutting head in the axial direction. The outlet nozzles for the outlet of cooling water can also be used for the spraying of water for the purpose of depositing dust, and a number of designs have become known in which such outlet nozzles are connected to the bit holder. In all cases, it is necessary to equip the S chrämkopfgrundkörper with respective channels to allow the water supply to the individual nozzles. In general, a aximum water supply is therefor provided, and from the AT-PS 359 453 is a training has become known in which the distribution of water to the nozzles by one to chrämkopfes in the axial direction of the S-extending, substantially cylindrical annular cavity occurs. The cutting head around g body consists mostly of simple ferritic steel and is therefore susceptible to corrosion. In addition, the water to be sprayed in the pit is usually not very pure, so that the risk of contamination of the bores and channels running in the cutting head is relatively great. As soon as the contamination reached a level at which bores are being laid, the cutting head became unusable for the desired application and the cleaning of the known designs was extremely complex.
The invention now aims to provide a cutting head of the type mentioned, in which it is in it is easily possible to clean the cavities for the water supply to the nozzles. To achieve this object, the invention essentially consists in that the channels running within the cutting head are designed as continuous channels in the axial direction of the cutting head, which are connected to the axial water supply bore through essentially radial bores and into which radial bores open to the outlet nozzles, and that the channels running through in the axial direction can be closed on at least one end face of the cutting head with releasable locking pieces. Characterized in that the channels for the distribution of the water to the nozzles are designed as continuous channels in the axial direction of the cutting head, which open into holes aligned with these channels, a cleaning rod can be inserted after removal of the closure piece or pieces and in this way achieve cleaning .
In a particularly simple manner, the closure piece can be formed on the front side of the cutting head facing away from the cutting arm by a releasably fixed end disk of the cutting head. With a high water supply pressure, however, the sealing of the channels becomes complex with such a design. The training is therefore made for high water supply pressure in an advantageous manner that the through channels in the axial direction on at least one end face of the cutting head open into at least one bore aligned with these channels, which can be locked with separate detachable closure pieces for each bore. Preferably, bores are provided on both end faces of the cutting head with the axial channels, so that dirt particles can be pierced with a cleaning rod over the entire length of the bores and can be discharged on the opposite end face through the cleaning rod.
A particularly good cleaning results if the channels for the distribution of the water to the radial outlet nozzles are designed as bores which go through the entire axial length of the cutting head, since in such a design the wall area of the wall area due to the constant internal diameter of the channels channels designed as bores can be completely cleared.
The invention is explained in more detail below with reference to exemplary embodiments shown in the drawing. 1 shows a cross section through a cutting head according to the prior art, FIG. 2 shows an analog section through an embodiment according to the invention, and FIG. 3 shows a section analogous to FIG. 1 through a modified embodiment.
The water is first supplied via
In the embodiment according to FIG. 2, at least three
The
The
