Claims (10)

1. Housing, in particular a pressure tank, with a panel which has indicia embossed from behind and is fixed by means of an adhesive layer to the housing, which on application of the panel is forced into the embossed recesses, characterised in that the adhesive and the surface condition of the housing (2) and the panel (3) are so arranged relative one to the other that the adhesive strength between the adhesive layer (4) and housing (2) and the strength of the adhesive layer itself are greater than the adhesion strength between panel (3) and adhesive layer.
2. Housing according to claim 1 characterised in that the adhesive is a two component adhesive.
3. Housing according to claim 2 characterised in that the two component adhesive contains as base material methyl methacrylate.
4. Housing according to one of claims 1 to 3 characterised in that the adhesive layer (4) is around 1 mm thick.
5. Housing according to one of claims 1 to 4 characterised in that the panel (3) .has a flatter surface than the housing (2).
6. Housing according to claim 5 characterised in that the panel (3) is rolled flat and the housing (2) is roughened.
7. Housing according to one of claims 1 to 6 characterised in that the panel (3) consists of aluminised black plate.
8. Housing according to one of claims 1 to 7 characterised in that the cut edge (9) of the panel (3) is covered by a bead (8) of hardened adhesive.
9. Process for the application of the panel to a housing according to one of claims 1 to 8 characterised in that a predetermined quantity of two- component adhesive, components of which are mixed directly before application, is applied to the housing and by pressing on the panel is so spread out that a bead forms around the panel.
10. Process according to claim 9 characterised in that the housing panel and adhesive layer are maintained for about 5 to 8 minutes in an oven heated to 80 to 100°C.
