Abstract

The invention relates to a four-ply composite film of a paper/silicone/hot-melt adhesive/metal, preferably aluminium, structure. The metal foil may have a special colour finish, for example be anodised. The UV-resistant hot-melt adhesive, preferably copolyamide, is adjusted such that it firmly bonds the metal foil to the underlying surface upon heating and such that, in the cold state, the metal foil can be removed again along with the hot-melt adhesive layer totally without leaving any residual material from the underlying surface. According to the invention, the adhesion of the hot-melt adhesive on the metal and the adhesion of the silicone on the paper are stronger than the adhesion of the hot-melt adhesive on the silicone layer. As a result, the hot-melt adhesive/metal foil, which is reinforced by the hot-melt adhesive, can be easily peeled off the paper/silicone film for the purpose of using as a covering (masking), for example of glass surfaces and other surfaces. The procedure adopted for producing the four-ply composite film is that first of all the hot-melt adhesive layer is applied in a cold low-viscosity state to the silicone side of the paper/silicone film, subsequently the metal foil is laminated onto the hot-melt adhesive side and, in the case of perforation, the entire four-ply composite film is punched, preferably hole-punched. <IMAGE>

Description

The invention relates to a four-layer composite film with the structure of paper-silicone Plastic-metal.

Composite foils - also with the structure paper-silicone-plastic-metal - are not New. However, the use of hot melt adhesive as a plastic layer in one four-layer composite film - in particular to stabilize a preferably thin Metal foil with subsequent detachability of the hot-melt metal foil from the Paper-silicone film - is so far unknown.

The invention is based on the object of claim 1, a four-layer Composite film with the construction paper-silicone-plastic-metal available too in which the plastic layer is a hot melt adhesive. This requires the enamel glue in such a way that the metal foil is placed on a flat surface, e.g. B. glass, firmly adhered by heating and in the cold state of the document undamaged and removed without residue on the document men can be.

Diese Aufgabe wird erfindungsgemäß dadurch gelöst, daß als Kunststoffschicht ein gegen ultraviolette Strahlung beständiger Schmelzkleber, vorzugsweise Copolyamid, verwendet wird, welcherThis object is achieved in that a plastic layer hot melt adhesive resistant to ultraviolet radiation, preferably copolyamide, whichever is used

  • - an der Metallfolie im normalen Temperaturbereich fest haftet und diese da durch stabilisiert - adheres firmly to the metal foil in the normal temperature range and there stabilized by
  • - an der Silikonschicht relativ weniger fest haftet, so daß die Kunststoff-Metall- Folie leicht von der Papier-Silikon-Folie abgezogen werden kann und- adheres to the silicone layer relatively less firmly, so that the plastic-metal Film can be easily peeled off the paper-silicone film and
The metal foil after removal of the paper-silicone foil flat on one Underlay, e.g. B. glass by heating so that the liability Hot-melt metal foil in the cold state intact and without residues can be removed again on the pad.

So that the metal foil, which is naturally opaque, is also transparent can be used e.g. B. as a self-adhesive coating on the glass pane, the entire four-layer composite film according to claim 2 has a uniform perfora tion, preferably a fine hole punch. In the event of any other use the perforation can also consist of punched-out holes that have a certain pattern effect or other pictorial design.

B. eloxiert. In addition, the metal foil, preferably aluminum, according to claim 3 Purposes of color design, protection against corrosion or other reasons specially equipped, e.g. B. anodized.

Die für die erfindungsgemäßen Zwecke erforderliche Verbundfolie mit gleichmäßig dünner Schmelzkleberschicht wird nach Anspruch 4 dadurch erhalten, daßThe composite film required for the purposes of the invention with uniform thin hot melt adhesive layer is obtained according to claim 4 in that

  • - der Schmelzkleber zunächst in kaltem Zustand gleichmäßig dünnflüssig auf die silikonbeschichtete Seite des Papiers aufgetragen,- The hot melt adhesive is first applied in a thin, even, thin layer on the silicon-coated side of the paper applied,
Then the metal foil on the hot melt adhesive side of the three-layer foil Paper-silicone hot-melt adhesive laminated warm and

Es zeigenIn the following, the invention will be based on only one variant  the drawings explained in more detail. Show it

Die Glasplatte hat das Bezugszeichen 6.In the figures, the four-layer composite film is identified by the reference number 1 , the paper layer by 2 , the silicone layer by 3 , the hot melt adhesive layer by 4 and the metal film by 5 . The glass plate has the reference number 6 .

The advantages achieved by the invention are essentially the following:

The use of hot melt adhesive in connection with film is required because of the The effect of heat to activate the adhesive only makes sense with metal foils.

In addition, the required evenly thin application of the hot melt adhesive is on already perforated metal foils difficult. Because it penetrates all too easily Perforation on the other side of the film or forms in the perforation recess a film that removes transparency. The four-layer according to the invention Composite foil makes it possible to avoid these disadvantages. The hot melt adhesive won't directly on the metal foil, but on the silicone coating of the paper So that the paper does not curl when heated, the Hot melt adhesive in a cold but still liquid state. Then the prefabricated paper-silicone hot-melt adhesive film by means of gentle heating Laminated metal foil. As a result, the hot melt adhesive layer lies particularly well protected in the composite film.

The four-layer composite film can be - without affecting the inside Hot melt adhesive layer - easy to handle for all further processing, easy to  cut and in particular punch as desired. The hot melt metal foil leaves for further use in perforated and non-perforated condition peel off the paper-silicone film, even if the metal film is very thin, as this is stretchably reinforced by the hot melt adhesive layer.

Overall, the composite film according to the invention comes because of its versatility of particular importance. Because it not only allows e.g. B. for privacy and sun protection, glass surfaces while maintaining the trans parenz easily removable and even reusable to coat. they also proves itself on numerous other surfaces, e.g. B. from Baueleinenten, Ma rail parts, gift packs, etc., made from a wide variety of materials can exist when it comes to this a practical, visually appealing and give an appropriately protective metal outfit.
