- Figure 3 which is a sectional view of Figure 1 along BB, plane perpendicular to the machine direction (2), shows that the contiguous bellies (9, 10) of neighboring corrugations consist of small adjacent pads (11, 12) located on the same side of the median plane (8) of the nonwoven. Behind the cutting plane we see the profile of the pads located below the median plane (8). The height and width of these pads are between 0.1 and 3 mm.
- FIG. 4 shows a preferred form of the invention: the nonwoven consists of a synthetic grid (13) formed of filaments (15) of a first polymer coated in a sheath of a second polymer and connected by thin strips (16) of the second polymer, grid on one side of which is deposited a web of cellulosic fibers (14).
