Definitions
- the invention relates to a fixed bowl mixer. It will find its application for obtaining an intimate mixture of constituents, dry or wet, such as for example for the manufacture of concrete, refractory products, silica sand and others.
- the mixers include a generally circular tank in which the various components of the mixture are placed, and a mixing train which is composed of mobile blades, generally driven in rotation, these blades promoting the intimate mixing of the components, the whole train of mixing being moved in the tank in order to homogenize all of the kneaded product.
- mixers There are two main categories of mixers; rotary tank mixers in which the position of the mixing train is fixed, on the other hand, the tank is driven in a rotary movement which drives the product and periodically subjects it to the action of the mixing train.
- rotary tank mixers in which the position of the mixing train is fixed, on the other hand, the tank is driven in a rotary movement which drives the product and periodically subjects it to the action of the mixing train.
- the mixer with a fixed tank also has the drawback of seeing the upper part of the tank very inaccessible when it is in operation since it is perpetually swept by the mixing train in motion and that the central part of the tank is occupied by the motor member which actuates the mixing train by means of its drive device. Therefore, it cannot be considered, for example, to add to the mixing train any tool such as a motorized mixing propeller which would incidentally be placed in the tank to perfect the mixing.
- the main object of the present invention is to present a mixer with a fixed tank in which consequently the mixing train is mobile and which has, in its upper part, a central clearance giving direct access to the mixture.
- the mixer of the invention benefits from the advantages of the fixed-bowl mixer, that is to say greater simplicity and a smaller footprint than mobile-bowl mixers while also benefiting from the advantages of tank-mixers mobile, that is to say, possible access to the mixture during the operation of the mixer without being hindered by the movement of the mixing train, which in particular makes it possible to carry out measurements by introducing probes into the mixture or to solve problems individuals by placing auxiliary tools such as a mixing propeller.
- Another object of the present invention is to present a mixer with a fixed tank which can easily be adapted to the characteristics of the product to be mixed.
- these can be easily modified by varying the dimensions of the pinions present in the drive device of the mixing train without 'it is necessary to create a new form of housing for each case.
- the power required to drive the mixing train which will depend on the product to be mixed, can easily be modulated according to the present invention, since the mixer can possibly be equipped with one or more motors which can moreover be of different powers.
- the fixed-tank mixer intended in particular for mixing wet or dry components such as concrete, refractory or silica sands and the like, comprising a fixed tank into which the components to be kneaded are introduced, a kneading train consisting of blades driven in a epicyclic movement by a motor member is characterized in that it has, in its upper part, a central clearance giving direct access to the mixture by a central duct.
- Figure 1 shows schematically a fixed tank mixer shown in accordance with a preferred embodiment thereof.
- the mixer comprises a fixed tank 1 which will preferably be circular, this tank being intended to contain the various components of the mixture. These components can also be wet or dry and can be used, for example, to obtain concrete, refractory products, silica sand for obtaining glass or others.
- the tank 1 will be equipped, in its lower part with a hatch 2 which will be used for the evacuation of the mixture when it has been intimately kneaded.
- the tank 1 of the mixer will also be equipped with a mixing train 3 equipped with blades 4, it could easily be envisaged to have several mixing trains in the tank 1, however, in most cases, a single mixing train 3 will be enough.
- the mixing train will, first of all, be driven in rotation on itself and will also describe a rotary movement in the tank 1, which will allow it to stir all of the components of the mixture present in the tank.
- the blades 4 will thus describe an epicyclic movement in the tank 1.
- the mixing train 3 will be propelled by a motor member 5 which will preferably be fixed. It could, in fact, be envisaged to have the drive member 5 at the end of the axis of the mixing train 3, however, in this case., The drive member would describe circles around the tank and therefore it would result complications with regard to the supply of electrical energy, in the case of an electric motor, to the motor member 5.
- the mixer with fixed tank has in its upper part a central clearance 6 by which one can have direct access to the mixture present in the tank.
- This central clearance 6 facilitates in particular the filling of the tank with the mixture and possibly allows the introduction of probes or tools special lages in the mixture being kneaded in case of course the central part of the tank 1 disposed under the central clearance 6 is not swept by the kneading train 3.
- the central clearance 6 will be delimited by a fixed central duct 7.
- the drive device 8 of the mixing train 3 propelled by the motor member 5 is distributed around the central duct 7.
- the drive device 8 illustrated in Figures 1 and 2 consists in particular of a ring 9 movable in rotation and driven by the drive member 5.
- the ring 9 is driven in rotation around the central duct 7 on which it is centered.
- the crown 9 could be arranged for example on the duct 7 by means of a ball bearing box 10.
- the crown 9 will be rotated by means of a drive pinion 11 disposed at the end of the shaft of the drive member 5.
- the motor 5 will be broken down into a motor 12 followed by a reduction gear 13, the assembly forming a gear motor.
- the geared motor unit 5 will be fixed and may, for example, be secured to the tank 1.
- 11 Given the relatively large efforts to be transmitted in general to the mixing train, 11 will advantageously be used a ring gear 9 and a toothed pinion 11.
- This ring 9 serves as a support for the kneading train 3 on which it is mounted to rotate freely, a rolling boot 14 may be used for this purpose.
- the circular movement of the rotation train 3 has thus been organized.
- FIGS. 1 and 2 An exemplary embodiment is illustrated in FIGS. 1 and 2 by the addition of a mixing propeller 18.
- the shaft 19 of this mixing propeller 18 will be mounted on the crown 9 by means of a box of bearing 20 similar to the bearing box 14 used for mounting the mixing train 3 on the crown 9.
- the mixing propeller will describe a circular movement identical to that described by the mixing train 3.
- the setting in rotation of the mixing propeller 18 can be obtained by using a gear train 21 which meshes with the fixed wheel.
- This casing will include the upper part of the tank 1 and may be used in particular to fix the duct 7 on the tank 1.
- the drive member 5 will be fixed on the upper part of this casing 22 while the lower part of the casing 22 will be produced in several parts which will mainly protect the rolling box 10, the rolling boxes 14 and 20 as well as the peripheral toothing of the crown 9 and the motor pinion 11.
- the pinion 17 can be driven by meshing on a fixed or movable wheel 15 with internal or external teeth.
Abstract
