Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a shaving part for dry shavers and hair clippers with slit-shaped hair inlet openings, which have a threading zone and a cutting zone covered by a moving shear part.
Such shaving parts can be shear combs made from flat material or produced by bending thin metal sheets with slots open on one side, but they can also be shaving foils in which the hair inlet openings are provided as circumferentially closed slots.
Shear parts of this type, which are also mainly used to remove hair on soft, flexible skin areas, for example on the neck and armpits, are generally known (US Pat. No. 2,292,858). The problem is that even small wrinkles on the skin get into the inlet openings in a wave shape and are injured in the cutting zone. In order to keep this effect as small as possible can. of course, the inlet openings in the shaving foil are made relatively small, but the shear effect is greatly impaired. It is also already known from GB patent 496 35o to design the slot-shaped inlet openings with a one-sided curvature in the shape of a crescent or obliquely to the main guiding direction of the apparatus. This is intended to make it more difficult for skin folds to penetrate to the cutting zone. Practice shows, however, that by moving the shaver on the surface of the skin in different directions or circling, a skin fold that has once entered an inlet opening can also very well follow an oblique or one-sided curved course of the inlet opening and thereby easily get into the cutting zone, where then the unwanted skin irritation or skin injury occurs.
The invention has for its object to design a shear part of the type mentioned in such a way that on the one hand close-up shaving of hair is possible and on the other hand skin injuries or skin irritation are largely avoided.
The invention solves this problem in that in the direction of the threading path in front of the cutting zone there is at least one leading edge which is directed essentially transversely to the longitudinal axis of the slit-shaped hair inlet opening and around which the threading path is guided with at least two changes of direction.
The main advantage of the shaving part according to the invention is that body hair can be cut close to the skin without small skin wrinkles getting into the cutting zone of the shaving apparatus and thereby causing skin injury or skin irritation. The skin flowing in through the threading zone is caught by the leading edge, which acts as a braking threshold, and is prevented from reaching the cutting zone directly by the double deflection of the threading path; as a result, the design known in the case of shear parts with hair inlet openings for skin irritation or skin injury which is inevitably kept is considerably reduced.
In order to improve the hair inlet into the openings of the shaving part, the threading zone is often made wider than the cutting zone; but since in this case skin wrinkles can penetrate better into the hair inlet openings, according to an advantageous embodiment of the invention the leading edge is formed by a projection which covers the cutting zone and a further leading edge offset from the first is provided, around which the threading path is guided like a labyrinth . The two staggered leading edges and the four-fold change of direction of the threading path around both leading edges ensure with certainty that the skin wrinkles that have penetrated into the threading zone are slowed down and held back.
If value is placed on a symmetrical arrangement and design of the hair inlet opening and on a higher cutting performance of the shaving part, it is provided according to a further advantageous embodiment of the invention that each hair inlet opening has two parallel cutting zones separated from one another by a web and having a common one extended threading zone in a symmetrical arrangement that two mutually directed projections covering the cutting zone are provided, and that the end flank of the web, as a further contact edge, is opposite the opening between the projections. This form of training also ensures that penetrated skin wrinkles are slowed down and retained, first on the two leading edges of the projections and then on the leading edges of the end face of the web; here too the threading path changes direction twice before and after its separation.

In Fig..l the two interacting shear parts of a dry shaver or a hair clipper of any known type, which are used for cutting longer body hair, in particular for cosmetic purposes, are shown in section, namely the resting
According to the embodiment shown in FIG. 2, the
In the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 3, the threading zone 5.1 is significantly expanded compared to the cutting zone 6.1.
