Definitions
- the invention relates to a bed plate for bathtub inserts, in particular for the disabled, which consists of a floor element, a support plate and a lifting frame and lifting device arranged between them.
- the object of the invention is therefore to provide a new bed plate for such bathtub inserts, which ensures as complete a closure as possible on the tub walls in any desired stroke positions, so that all the gaps are essentially closed.
- the bed plate consists of an elongated substantially rectangular base plate and four swivel plates attached to their end edges and side edges so that the one end swivel plate has a greater width in the longitudinal direction of the base plate than the opposite end swivel plate, that all swivel plates are resiliently held against abutment surfaces of the base plate and are at least attached approaches lie in a common plane, which coincides approximately with the plane of the base plate and that the corner recesses between two adjacent swivel plates are at least partially filled by elastically flexible and / or stretchable gussets.
- One embodiment of the invention is that the surfaces of the base plate and all four swivel plates are covered by a one-piece, flexible support mat which forms the gusset in the corner regions.
- the support mat has a curved outer contour in the gusset area, the radial extent of the gusset being shorter than the width of the adjacent swivel plates.
- Another advantageous feature is that the corners of the base plate and those two corners of each swivel plate that adjoin the base plate are rounded or beveled.
- the invention has the advantage that in the raised position of the bathtub insert, a flat support surface is formed for the disabled, which overlaps the tub edges, so that no gaps are formed. If the insert is lowered, the four swivel flaps fold up against the action of the return springs and are held against the inner surfaces of the bathtub by the spring force. Since one end face of conventional bathtubs is more inclined than the opposite end face, the swivel plate must be correspondingly wider here in order to ensure that the tub is initially fully covered. The foldable or pliable gussets ensure that the corners of the bathtub remain covered, taking care of themselves Set up this gusset as the swivel flaps swing upwards.
- the gussets automatically fold. The disabled person cannot therefore accidentally get their arms or legs into an otherwise existing recess in the corner, where crushing would inevitably result in further lowering.
- Fig. 1 illustrates the basic structure of a bathtub insert consisting of base plate 10, two lifting frames 12, 14, which are connected to one another by links 16, a support plate 18, which is vertically movably guided by the supporting frames, two lifting devices 20, 22 in the form of pressurized water bellows and a manual valve 66 under the support plate, which has three water connections.
- One is connected to the domestic water pipe via a hose, another is connected to the two bellows 20, 22 and the third is connected to the tub drain. The user can thus control the raising and lowering of the support plate without any effort.
- a bending plate 26 is removably fastened on the support plate 18 by means of pins 24, which consists of a rectangular base plate 28, but rounded at the corners, two side pivot plates 30, 32 and two end pivot plates 34, 36. All swivel plates 30-36 are connected to the base plate 28 by means of hinge bands or hinge band sections 38 in such a way that the plates can pivot upwards but not below the plane of the base plate. Adjacent edge surfaces of the base plate and swivel plate meet when both plates are in the same plane.
- the length of the side pivot plates 30, 32 is slightly less than the length of the base plate 28 and the length of the end pivot plates 34, 36 is also somewhat less than the width of the base plate 28.
- the side swivel plate 30 is narrower than the opposite side swivel plate 32, because the latter serves as a front plate in the case of typically installed tubs, which lies on the entire width of the tub rim and may overlap it.
- the disabled uses this plate 32 and possibly the adjoining section of the base plate 28 as a temporary seat before taking his place on the bed plate. A smaller width is sufficient for the plate 30 because it only has to cover the trough gap.
- the front swivel plate 36 has a width approximately equal to the narrow side wall swivel plate 30. It overlaps the foot-side tub edge.
- the opposite end swivel plate 34 is much wider than the opposite end swivel plate 36. It serves as a head plate and closes off the tub in spite of the inclination of the end wall on the head side.
- the mat preferably consists of a foam blank which has a certain cushioning effect and which has a large number of openings.
- the base plate is also provided with a number of openings 46.
- the mat 44 is longer and wider than that L isgeplatte and is placed over the outer edges of the four swivel plates by 180 ° and detachable on the undersides of the swivel plates, preferably fastened with textile adhesive tapes.
- the support mat 44 has textile adhesive tape sections on its underside which interact with corresponding adhesive tape sections which have been glued onto the hinges 38. The mat is secured against moving and is protected against the hinges.
- the corner recesses between two adjacent swivel plates are partially covered by gussets 48 of the support mat. In order to facilitate the automatic folding of these legs 48 when lowering the bed plate, they have a smaller radial extension 50 than they correspond to the width of the adjacent pivot plate. It is also provided that the gusset does not reach directly to the narrow edges of the swivel plates, but that the support mat 44 protrudes by the dimension 51 over the entire width of the narrow sides. This configuration facilitates the folding of the gusset 48.
- the swivel plates 30-36 are folded up and are pressed against the tub edges by springs which try to swivel the swivel plates downwards.
- springs such as leaf springs
- leg springs 52 in the hinges 38, in such a way that, according to FIG. 6, one or more spaced bracket tabs are removed from the mutually interlocking strap links 54, 56 of the two hinge strap parts and are replaced by a leg spring 52, which is penetrated by the hinge strap.
- the leg spring is used in the prestressed state so that it presses the pivot plate 34 into the same geometric plane of the base plate 28.
- the swivel plates 30-36 swivel outwards accordingly and keep contact with the tub edge. If the uppermost entry and exit position is reached, all swivel plates are pivoted into the plane of the base plate in contact with it and lie on the tub edges. The entire bath is covered by the bed plate without gaps.
- a deflection bracket 60 is shown on the bottom end swivel plate 36 on the underside, which prevents this swivel plate from jamming on the upper tub drain.
- the roundings 40 and bevels 42 on the base plate-side corners of the swivel plates 30-36 serve to make it easier to fold the support mat 44 in the gusset areas.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a bed plate for bathtub inserts, in particular for the disabled, which consists of a floor element, a support plate and a lifting frame and lifting device arranged between them.
Seat plates for the disabled are known which can be moved up and down by a lifting frame. Such a bathtub insert has not proven itself in practice, partly because the handicapped can only sit and not lie, but especially because there is a considerable risk of injury, because the handicapped can lower and raise the seat plate with his hands and feet between the plate and Bathtub can be pinched.
The object of the invention is therefore to provide a new bed plate for such bathtub inserts, which ensures as complete a closure as possible on the tub walls in any desired stroke positions, so that all the gaps are essentially closed.
This object is achieved in that the bed plate consists of an elongated substantially rectangular base plate and four swivel plates attached to their end edges and side edges so that the one end swivel plate has a greater width in the longitudinal direction of the base plate than the opposite end swivel plate, that all swivel plates are resiliently held against abutment surfaces of the base plate and are at least attached approaches lie in a common plane, which coincides approximately with the plane of the base plate and that the corner recesses between two adjacent swivel plates are at least partially filled by elastically flexible and / or stretchable gussets.
One embodiment of the invention is that the surfaces of the base plate and all four swivel plates are covered by a one-piece, flexible support mat which forms the gusset in the corner regions. The support mat has a curved outer contour in the gusset area, the radial extent of the gusset being shorter than the width of the adjacent swivel plates. Another advantageous feature is that the corners of the base plate and those two corners of each swivel plate that adjoin the base plate are rounded or beveled.
The invention has the advantage that in the raised position of the bathtub insert, a flat support surface is formed for the disabled, which overlaps the tub edges, so that no gaps are formed. Thanks to the slightly smaller radial extension compared to the width dimensions of adjacent swivel plates, the gussets automatically fold. The disabled person cannot therefore accidentally get their arms or legs into an otherwise existing recess in the corner, where crushing would inevitably result in further lowering.

Fig. 1 illustrates the basic structure of a bathtub insert consisting of
As can be seen from FIGS. 2 and 3, a
It is also important that the two corners of the base plate facing the base plate are rounded or beveled.
The entire bed plate, consisting of
Die Schenkelfeder wird in vorgespanntem Zustand so eingesetzt, daß sie die Schwenkplatte 34 in dieselbe geometrische Ebene der Grundplatte 28 drückt.4, the swivel plates 30-36 are folded up and are pressed against the tub edges by springs which try to swivel the swivel plates downwards. Although various types of springs, such as leaf springs, can be used for the downward bias of the pivot plates, it has proven to be special proved to be advantageous to install
Die Liegeplatte liegt somit im wesentlichen vollständig mit ihrer Außenkontur an der Innenkontur der Wanne an.Thanks to the spring-loaded swivel plates, a gap cannot accidentally form between their upper edges and the tub walls. Thanks to the folding
If the bed plate is now lifted, the swivel plates 30-36 swivel outwards accordingly and keep contact with the tub edge. If the uppermost entry and exit position is reached, all swivel plates are pivoted into the plane of the base plate in contact with it and lie on the tub edges. The entire bath is covered by the bed plate without gaps.
In FIG. 3, a deflection bracket 60 is shown on the bottom
As already indicated at the beginning, the
