Claims (5)

1. A method of correctly transferring the positions for the printing blocks on the form cylinders (4) of a flexographic printing machine for multicolor printing from the line-up flat secured to a line-up cylinder (13) or line-up table, characterized in that
before being secured to the line-up cylinder (13) the flat is drawn so as to be distorted in the printing direction (peripheral direction) relative to the copy for printing in consideration of the elongation of the outside of the printing block (11) applied to the form cylinder (4),
two television cameras (15, 16, 17, 18) disposed in mutually corresponding, exactly fixed positions relative to the line-up cylinder (13) and the form cylinders (4), which are consecutively moved to the mounting position, are directed to each pair of spaced apart points (A, B) of the flat and each pair of spaced apart points (C, D) of the printing block (11) to be mounted, and the two images of corresponding points (A, C; B, D) of the copy and of the printing block (11) are simultaneously displayed by means of a mixer on an associated television screen (19, 20),
the printing block (11) is initially displaceably held on the form cylinder (4) and is then lined up so that the images displayed on the television screens (19, 20) are congruent, and the printing block (11) is secured in that position to the form cylinder (4), and
the printing blocks (11) of the other form cylinders (4) used for multicolor printing are successively lined up on and fixed to the respective form cylinders (4) in dependence on the same flat.
2. A method according to claim 1, characterized in that the printing block (11) is held by sucked air as it is lined up on the form cylinder (4).
3. A method according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that an identical height adjustment of the cameras (15 to 18) is effected in that the cameras (17,18) directed to the form cylinder (4) are adjusted until an image taken by said cameras of a portion of the flat applied to the form cylinder (4) on the level of the printing blocks (11) can be registered on the television screen (19, 20) with the corresponding image portion of the flat.
4. A method in accordance with the prior art part of claim 1, characterized in that two television cameras (15 to 18), which have exactly fixed, mutually corresponding positions relative to the line-up cylinder (13) and the form cylinders (4), which are consecutively moved to the line-up position, are directed to each pair of spaced apart points (A, B) of the flat and two spaced apart points (C, D) of the printing block (11) to be lined up, and the two images of corresponding points (A, C; B, D) of the copy and of the printing block (11) are simultaneously displayed via an associated mixer on an associated television screen (19, 20), the cameras (15, 16) which detect an undistorted flat that corresponds to the copy and is secured to the line-up cylinder (13) are controlled by an electronic computer in consideration of the elongation of the printing block (11) applied to the form cylinder (4) so that a distorted image of the flat is displayed via each of the two mixers on each of the two television screens,
the printing block (11) is initially displaceably held on the form cylinder (4) and is then so lined up that the images displayed on the television screen (19, 29) are congruent, and the printing block (11) is secured to the form cylinder (4) in that position, and
the printing blocks (11) on the other form cylinders (4) used for multicolor printing are consecutively lined up on and secured to said form cylinders (4) in dependence on the same flat.
5. A method according to claim 4, characterized in that an identical height adjustment of the cameras (15 to 18) is effected in that lines which are distinguished, e.g., by a specific colour, are transmitted by the computer without a distorsion relative to the printing direction.
