An apparatus for the manufacture of flat wooden products, such as boards, which are separated in a chipless manner from the two opposite sides of a longitudinally moved scantling by at least one oscillatorily moved knife (21), characterised in that directly behind each knife (21) there is provided a straightening/bending device which comprises an adjustable bending roll (11) and, on the other side of the wooden, produkt (10), a revolving counter-tool (9, 17) with a flexible contact-pressure surface, the flexible contact-pressure surface being driven in such a way that it exerts a pull on the wooden products (10) during the separating process.
2. An apparatus as claimed in Claim 1, characterised in that the flexible contact-pressure surface is formed by the tread (17) of a hollow hoop (18) or by an elastic roller.
