Definitions
- the invention relates to a doctor device for applying liquid, pasty, powdery or foam-like substances to a web with or without the use of stencils, the doctor device being pivotable relative to the support for the web and the doctor blade being pressable against the support.
- the pressure of the doctor blade can be generated by weight or by magnetism.
- the known squeegee devices are usually non-positively attached laterally at their two ends and the considerable forces which occur during operation of the squeegee device must be absorbed by the squeegee holder or fastening elements. Attempts have already been made to use the doctor blade holder. To largely relieve fasteners of the absorption of the opposing forces adequate to the contact pressure, but undesirable bending and torsional stresses still have to be absorbed.
- the desired, adjustable doctor pressure is brought into balance with the forces acting on the doctor during operation, so that the doctor holder only has to absorb small forces. If the doctor device is optimally adjusted in accordance with the respective work situation, the doctor device is in a quasi unloaded state as seen from the holder. The interaction of the forces enables the doctor device to at least approximately align itself automatically so that it always assumes the desired optimal working position, since the doctor device finds a stable equilibrium position in this working position; i.e. but that to maintain this equilibrium position from the outside, neither additional holding forces nor any clamping moments are required.
- the doctor device according to the invention can be used with the doctor blade, with the roller doctor blade and also with the slot doctor blade. By eliminating larger bending and torsional stresses, the doctor device according to the invention can be dimensioned in a material-saving manner, which significantly increases the economy and manageability. It can be used with both round and flat templates.
- the guide of the doctor or on the system producing the doctor pressure is provided with additional arrangements, of which a variable force component against the support can be applied to the doctor, which force component corresponds to the change in position of the doctor device relative to the support is changeable, the adjustable doctor pressure being approximately in equilibrium with the respective forces occurring during operation and the doctor device being at least approximately in the most favorable working position.
- FIGS. 1 to 3 show embodiments in which the doctor pressure is caused by a weight load
- FIGS. 1 and 2 show embodiments in which the doctor pressure is brought about by a magnet system
- FIG. 4 showing a doctor blade
- FIGS. 5 and 6 a roller doctor
- FIG. 7 a slot doctor
- Figures 8 to 10 show the application of the invention to flat stencils. 11 to 14 serve for explanation.
- Fig.1 shows the simplest embodiment of the invention.
- a conveyor belt 2 with a material web 3 thereon slides over a support 1 in the direction of the arrow 4.
- the direction of movement corresponds to the direction of movement (arrow 5) of the round template 6.
- the circle 7 illustrates the lateral opening of the round template.
- the squeegee device has a bar 8 which has a pointer-shaped extension.
- the doctor blade 9 is fastened to the bar 8 via a fastening bar 10.
- the application substance 11 is located in the angle in front of the doctor blade.
- Two weight bars 12, 13 are provided on the pointer-shaped extension. At least one of these weight bars can be moved on the guides 14 in the direction of arrow 15.
- the two weight strips 12 and 13 each generate a partial force 16, 16 ′ acting vertically downwards, which together with the dead weight of the strip 8 result in the total force 17 acting vertically downward on the contact edge of the doctor blade 9.
- the contact edge 18 is located on the center of gravity of the doctor device, as a result of which the pointer-shaped upper end of the bar 8 which is in the state of equilibrium is in the zero position on the scale 19.
- the doctor device is first displaced in the direction of the arrows 4 and 5 by the friction force and the pressure of the applied substance.
- the pointer-shaped extension of the strip 8 may appear in the upper region create one of the two adjustable stops 20, 20 'until, by moving the weight bar 13 in the direction of arrow 15, the forces additionally applied to the doctor device are balanced and the doctor device can in turn assume the state of equilibrium.
- Arrow 21 shows the total force resulting from the respective work situation and the setting of the doctor device. This resulting total force causes the squeegee device or the part of the squeegee device causing the application process to come into the optimal position for the application process.
- the ink supply tube 22 is still shown, in the usual arrangement.
- the embodiment according to FIG. 2 largely corresponds to the embodiment according to FIG. 1, but here the pointer-shaped extension of the bar 8 'is attached obliquely to the bar and at the same time forms the guide 14' for the one weight bar 13.
- the second weight bar 12 if present, is placed on the bar 8 'here.
- a bracket 23 is clamped onto the ink supply tube 22, which at the same time carries the stops for the pointer-shaped extension 14 'and the scale.
- the pointer-shaped extension 14 ' also has stops 24, 24 1 , which are adjustable here.
- FIG. 3 corresponds to FIG. 2, except that instead of a doctor blade 9 there is a doctor blade 9 'which is held in a corresponding recess in the strip 8'.
- FIG. 4 shows the doctor device according to the invention in an embodiment similar to that of FIG. 2, with the difference that the doctor pressure and also the holding force counteracting the doctor friction force, by means of which the ink supply tube 22 in Squeegee device rotatable in the direction 25 and also pivotable about the point 26, thus thus freely movable in the direction of movement 4, is positioned in the desired working position instead of being effected by means of gravity by magnetic force.
- Magnetically pressed doctor blades are known, but due to the special construction and in particular due to the special arrangement of the force-generating working parts according to the invention, in addition to the magnetically acting contact force, a magnetically effected, directly opposing force effect is brought about, which magnetically automatically brings the entire doctor device into each Is able to bring the desired optimal working position is as new as the embodiments of the inventive concept caused by lateral weight shifting, which are shown in FIGS. 1 to 3.
- the squeegee device according to the invention can also be used in a manner pivoted by 90 or 180, in which case, however, one corresponds accordingly stronger dimensioning of the magnetic force effects is required.
- FIG. 5 relates to FIG. 4 approximately the same as FIG. 3 to FIG. 2.
- a doctor blade roller 9 ' was inserted into the doctor blade strip 8 "or the doctor blade strip 8" with the recess provided therefor was placed on the roller 9'.
- the weight bar 13 ' is pressed obliquely against the squeegee 9 in the direction resulting from the contact pressure and from the frictional counterforce (holding force).
- the doctor blade roller 9 ' can optionally consist of magnetizable or non-magnetizable material. If the squeegee roller 9 'is made of magnetizable material, the mode of operation of the magnetizable bar 13' can remain restricted to the main task of position adjustment according to the invention.
- a magnetizable bar 12 '' can additionally be inserted on the doctor bar 8 'in the area in front of the doctor contact line, which bar can cause a slight positional correction of the doctor device in the direction 4 or the template rotation direction 5.
- the screw 28 shown on the swivel bracket 23 can optionally be used in order to be able to fix the squeegee device which automatically adjusts to the working position due to the weight or magnetic action in this position. This e.g. Therefore, so that the working position remains unchanged even when the magnetic force is temporarily switched off, or also in cases in which the printer makes a fine adjustment of the positioning that differs from the self-adjustment and wants to determine the device in this position.
- FIG. 6 shows a further illustration of the device according to the invention similar to FIG. 5, with the difference that the magnet system 27 has been changed in the direction 29 opposite to the direction of movement 4.
- the magnetizable bar 13 can be omitted, since the diagonally arranged magnetic forces corresponding to the concept of the invention act directly on the magnetizable squeegee roller 9 'or, if the squeegee roller 9' cannot be magnetized, on the magnetizable weight bar 12 "'located above the squeegee bar 8" .
- the center of the magnetic field in the vertical plane to the line of contact of the doctor and the magnetizable bar 13 ' is arranged in the area behind the line of contact with the doctor, or whether the effective center of the magnetic field is arranged in the area in front of the line of contact with the doctor, these are only two possible variants for the Realization of the idea of the invention.
- FIG. 7 shows a further embodiment of the invention in relation to the figures, a so-called slot doctor (hollow body with a doctor-shaped outlet gap) being used instead of a doctor or roller doctor.
- slot doctor high body with a doctor-shaped outlet gap
- two doctor blade contact lines are present instead of one doctor blade contact line, but this does not make any significant difference for the doctor blade device according to the invention.
- the doctor pressure is composed of the weight 35 of the bracket 23, the weight 36 of the doctor bar 8 ", the magnetic force 37, or, in the embodiments without a magnet system, the weight of the bar 13.
- Those caused by the operation Forces are composed of the pressure forces from the application substance 11 lying in front of the doctor blade and the frictional forces on the doctor blade and the template 6.
- a force 37 acting in the direction of the doctor blade guide and a force acting in the direction of the doctor blade 9 are 38 shown.
- the greatest of all occurring forces is the magnetic force, the direction of which, depending on the position of the doctor blade, can be directed vertically downwards or obliquely downwards relative to the magnet of the magnet system. If no magnet system is provided, the weight bars 12 and 13 are designed so that their weight forces represent by far the greatest of all the attacking forces.
- the forces 35 of the bracket 23 and the force 36 of the squeegee strip 8 "can be neglected, since they are very small compared to the force 37.
- the squeegee device is then in position II.
- the squeegee 9 is now on an inclined plane at an angle 40 and thus a force component acts on the squeegee against the direction of the deflection. This force leads to the return of the squeegee to the initial position, so that a stable equilibrium position is again achieved here and the squeegee device can be addressed as self-adjusting.
- FIG. 14 is illustrated using a parallelogram of forces.
- This magnetic force 37 ′ By the deflection of the doctor device due to Disturbance results in an obliquely downward magnetic or weight force 37 ', it being known from the characteristics of the magnet systems that this magnetic force also increases in size.
- the other forces change their size and direction only insignificantly, ie, however, that the power corner is no longer closed, so that an additional force must act on the system.
- This additional force 37 ′′ is directed against the direction of the deflection and thus brings about a return to the starting position of the doctor device.
- FIGS. 7 to 7 show different embodiments of the doctor device according to the invention in a stationary arrangement
- FIGS. 8 to 10 show two variants of a horizontally movable embodiment of the doctor device according to the invention in use for flat screen printing.
- a box-shaped double doctor blade 30 is shown in FIG. 8, the coating edge 9 of which rests on the template 6 'or on the material web 3 or on the magnetic bar 27 which is in motion below it.
- the working parts or device parts 12 'and 13' mutually change their functions depending on the respective direction of movement.
- FIG. 10 shows a further box-shaped doctor device similar to FIG. 8, with the difference that the doctor device does not touch the stencil in a linear manner but with the strip-shaped doctor part 9 '"in front of which there is a flat storage zone for the application substance, for example printing ink 11. located.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a doctor device for applying liquid, pasty, powdery or foam-like substances to a web with or without the use of stencils, the doctor device being pivotable relative to the support for the web and the doctor blade being pressable against the support.
The pressure of the doctor blade can be generated by weight or by magnetism. The known squeegee devices are usually non-positively attached laterally at their two ends and the considerable forces which occur during operation of the squeegee device must be absorbed by the squeegee holder or fastening elements. Attempts have already been made to use the doctor blade holder. To largely relieve fasteners of the absorption of the opposing forces adequate to the contact pressure, but undesirable bending and torsional stresses still have to be absorbed.
The technology of application devices and printing machines is increasingly moving towards machines and systems that can evenly distribute the smallest amounts of order substance. However, these small quantity orders require an exact setting of the individual parts of such a machine and the exact maintenance of these settings during operation. Since this is usually not possible with the known doctor devices, uniform printing results are no longer obtained, especially in the case of larger working widths and small application quantities.
It is an object of the present invention to provide a squeegee device in which the mounts only absorb small forces and where it is possible to keep the doctor blade itself in an almost optimal working position.
In the invention, the desired, adjustable doctor pressure is brought into balance with the forces acting on the doctor during operation, so that the doctor holder only has to absorb small forces. The doctor device according to the invention can be used with the doctor blade, with the roller doctor blade and also with the slot doctor blade. By eliminating larger bending and torsional stresses, the doctor device according to the invention can be dimensioned in a material-saving manner, which significantly increases the economy and manageability. It can be used with both round and flat templates.
According to the invention it is proposed in the above-mentioned doctor device that the guide of the doctor or on the system producing the doctor pressure is provided with additional arrangements, of which a variable force component against the support can be applied to the doctor, which force component corresponds to the change in position of the doctor device relative to the support is changeable, the adjustable doctor pressure being approximately in equilibrium with the respective forces occurring during operation and the doctor device being at least approximately in the most favorable working position.
The invention will now be described, for example, with reference to the drawings. 1 to 3 show embodiments in which the doctor pressure is caused by a weight load, there is a doctor blade in FIGS. 1 and 2 and a roller doctor blade in FIG. 3. 4 to 7 show embodiments in which the doctor pressure is brought about by a magnet system, FIG. 4 showing a doctor blade, FIGS. 5 and 6 a roller doctor and FIG. 7 a slot doctor. Figures 8 to 10 show the application of the invention to flat stencils. 11 to 14 serve for explanation.
Two
If the
The embodiment according to FIG. 2 largely corresponds to the embodiment according to FIG. 1, but here the pointer-shaped extension of the bar 8 'is attached obliquely to the bar and at the same time forms the guide 14' for the one
Die Fig.3 entspricht der Fig.2, nur ist hier anstelle einer Rakelklinge 9 eine Rollrakel 9' vorhanden, die in einer entsprechenden Ausnehmung der Leiste 8' gehalten wird.3 corresponds to FIG. 2, except that instead of a
Fig.4 zeigt die erfindungsgemäße Rakelvorrichtung in einer der Fig.2 ähnlichen Ausführung, mit dem Unterschied, daß die Rakelanpreßkraft und ebenso die der Rakelreibungskraft entgegenwirkende Haltekraft, durch welche die um das Farbzuführungsrohr 22 in Richtung 25 drehbare und außerdem auch um den Punkt 26 verschwenkbare, somit also in Bewegungsrichtung 4 frei bewegliche Rakelvorrichtung in der gewünschten Arbeitsstellung positioniert wird, anstatt mittels Schwerkraft durch Magnetkraft bewirkt wird.4 shows the doctor device according to the invention in an embodiment similar to that of FIG. 2, with the difference that the doctor pressure and also the holding force counteracting the doctor friction force, by means of which the
Magnetically pressed doctor blades are known, but due to the special construction and in particular due to the special arrangement of the force-generating working parts according to the invention, in addition to the magnetically acting contact force, a magnetically effected, directly opposing force effect is brought about, which magnetically automatically brings the entire doctor device into each Is able to bring the desired optimal working position is as new as the embodiments of the inventive concept caused by lateral weight shifting, which are shown in FIGS. 1 to 3.
Incidentally, in the embodiment shown in FIG. 4, not only the magnetic forces generated by the
The embodiment according to FIG. 5 relates to FIG. 4 approximately the same as FIG. 3 to FIG. 2. Instead of a
In the embodiment according to FIG. 5, the doctor blade roller 9 'can optionally consist of magnetizable or non-magnetizable material. If the squeegee roller 9 'is made of magnetizable material, the mode of operation of the
If necessary, a magnetizable bar 12 '' can additionally be inserted on the doctor bar 8 'in the area in front of the doctor contact line, which bar can cause a slight positional correction of the doctor device in the direction 4 or the
The
Fig.6 zeigt eine weitere Darstellung der erfindungsgemäßen Einrichtung ähnlich Fig.5 mit dem Unterschied, daß das Magnetsystem 27 entgegen der Bewegungsrichtung 4 in Richtung 29 verändert wurde.6 shows a further illustration of the device according to the invention similar to FIG. 5, with the difference that the
In this embodiment, the
In dieser Ausführungsform sind anstelle einer Rakelberührungslinie zwei Rakelberührungslinien vorhanden, was jedoch für die erfindungsgemäße Rakelvorrichtung keinen erheblichen Unterschied bewirkt.7 shows a further embodiment of the invention in relation to the figures, a so-called slot doctor (hollow body with a doctor-shaped outlet gap) being used instead of a doctor or roller doctor. In this embodiment, two doctor blade contact lines are present instead of one doctor blade contact line, but this does not make any significant difference for the doctor blade device according to the invention.
The principle of the present invention will now be explained in more detail with reference to FIGS. 11 to 14, the embodiments according to FIGS. 5 and 7 being used here. As shown in FIG. 11, the doctor pressure is composed of the
The greatest of all occurring forces is the magnetic force, the direction of which, depending on the position of the doctor blade, can be directed vertically downwards or obliquely downwards relative to the magnet of the magnet system. If no magnet system is provided, the weight bars 12 and 13 are designed so that their weight forces represent by far the greatest of all the attacking forces. The
If one considers the
In FIG. 13, FIG. 14 is illustrated using a parallelogram of forces. By the deflection of the doctor device due to Disturbance results in an obliquely downward magnetic or weight force 37 ', it being known from the characteristics of the magnet systems that this magnetic force also increases in size. The other forces change their size and direction only insignificantly, ie, however, that the power corner is no longer closed, so that an additional force must act on the system. This
While FIGS. 7 to 7 show different embodiments of the doctor device according to the invention in a stationary arrangement, FIGS. 8 to 10 show two variants of a horizontally movable embodiment of the doctor device according to the invention in use for flat screen printing.
A box-shaped

Druckfarbe 11, befindet.10 shows a further box-shaped doctor device similar to FIG. 8, with the difference that the doctor device does not touch the stencil in a linear manner but with the strip-shaped doctor part 9 '"in front of which there is a flat storage zone for the application substance, for
The above illustrations show that the doctor device according to the invention is possible in various embodiments and applications. The possible embodiments and applications are not only to be understood as being limited to the above examples.
