Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a solid matter separator for separating out small solid and / or suspended matter, preferably waste water to be cleaned in a closed filter system.
  • the applicant of this invention has disclosed a method and a device for purifying waste water (DE-OS 27 39 690), in which in a closed filter system with a plurality of coupling reactors for coupling the wastewater with finely divided air or exhaust air as well as degradation reactors with various filter materials after a certain pretreatment (pre-neutralization) high degradation values have been achieved even with the highest contamination levels.
  • the process is based on a combination of chemical or physico-chemical reactions (neutralization, catalytic oxidation, adsorption ...), possibly with a combination of enzymatic-catalytic metabolic reactions.
  • the object of the invention is therefore to provide a solids separator with which all solid and suspended matter can be filtered out without problems from a wastewater to be cleaned, for example also from a dyeing plant or the like, the separator should have no rotating parts at all with the least energy expenditure and the relationship between operating time and downtime necessary for self-cleaning should be so suitable that a continuous wastewater treatment plant can be guaranteed with one and only one separator.
  • an arrangement of at least two cylindrical filters is therefore provided, with consideration for the subsequent wastewater treatment process and for additional filtering of the space between at least two of the concentric filters with a granular material is filled.
  • Grain size according to an advantageous development of the inventive concept of the openings in the cylinder granular material adapted to filtering is used for additional mechanical cleaning, neutralization, catalytic oxidation and / or also biochemical cleaning.
  • the wastewater still loaded with solids or suspended matter is fed to the outermost annular space between the housing and the cylindrical filter, while the wastewater relieved of these substances and to be fed to the downstream filter system for further purification from the inner annular space of the innermost filter entire filter arrangement is removed.

  • the best results were achieved with filter openings in the lowest range from 0.2mm to 1.5mm at the upper edge.
  • the grading of the openings depends of course to a certain extent on the actual size of the solids or suspended matter to be separated.
  • FIG. 1 shows a separator schematically in a sectional view and FIG. 2 shows a cross section through a corresponding separator according to line II-II in FIG. 1.
  • 1 denotes the outer wall of the cylindrical housing in which the separator with the features according to the invention is accommodated.
  • the wastewater to be cleaned of solids or suspended matter is introduced into the housing via the feed line 2 at about one third of the total height.
  • the wastewater freed from the solids can be passed on the underside via the pipeline 3 for further purification.
  • two cylindrical filters 4 and 5 arranged concentrically to one another are provided in the interior, the filter or cylinder sieve leaving an annular space to the housing 1 open, as can be seen clearly from FIG. 2.
  • the second filter or sieve 5 is located concentrically on the inside, the clear space being chosen so that it is suitable for backwashing, i.e. Clean the filter necessary parts can be accommodated.
  • the wastewater passed through the filter system is then drained downward from the interior of the inner filter 5.

  • a fiber web 51 only indicated by a dashed line, which covers the filter openings present in this area with a cross section of 0.2 mm, for example, and thus only allows absolutely unpolluted water to pass through.
  • a granular material is introduced in the annular space between the two concentric cylindrical filters 4 and 5, namely in the illustrated embodiment a total of three different materials A, B and C are introduced and possibly separated from one another by intermediate layers.

  • Filter openings can be directed from the inside. Furthermore, a total of 6 semicircular nozzle rods, of which only the rods 7, 8, 9 and 10 are shown, are provided in the annular space between the two cylindrical filters 4 and 5, with nozzles directed against the outer cylindrical filter.
  • Line system led together to the source for the backwash water or backwash steam.
  • outflow openings 13 are provided on the lowest side of the housing.
  • the outlet lines 12 on the underside immediately outside the inner filter 5 serve to discharge the foreign substances coming down from the inner filter, and in particular also the substances washed away by the pile 51, downward into a line system or collecting basin (not shown).
  • the outlet connections 12 and 13 are provided with end slides 14, which are only indicated schematically.
  • the line systems are each covered.
  • the essential design features of the present invention were explained on the basis of a highly schematic exemplary embodiment. It will be readily apparent to those skilled in the art that a number of variations and variations are possible. In particular, of course, more than two sieves can of course be arranged concentrically, although it may also be advisable for specific types of loads to assign an overflow to the outermost cylindrical filter in order to avoid the creation of an overpressure in the outermost annular space when the filter openings clog too quickly.
  • the layers are arranged one above the other, which is structurally particularly simple to implement and nevertheless guarantees the desired pretreatment in practice, since the water to be cleaned inside between the two filters is not only horizontal but also vertical due to the removal of the individual filters emotional.
