Abstract
Alliage a base de cobalt et de nickel, qui se prete particulierement a la preparation de protheses dentaires. Il presente en effet les qualites suffisantes de resistance a la corrosion et a l'usure, est deformable a froid et maintient bien sa couleur, se travaille facilement a l'etat fondu et presente des valeurs de durete equivalentes a celles des alliages a metaux nobles. L'alliage contient, a part les metaux de base, comme composants principaux 10 a 50% en poids de chrome, 0,2 a 4,5% en poids de gallium. Le nouvel alliage peut contenir en outre egalement 0,05 a 0,08% en poids de lanthane, 0,03 a 0,1% en poids de neodymium et 1,0 a 6,0% en poids de molybdene. A cause de son elasticite et a cause de son faible poids specifique, l'alliage sert particulierement dans le domaine des protheses dentaires fixes. L'alliage sert specialement a la preparation de plaques de base, de crochets d'ancrage et de crochets d'attache de protheses amovibles. Comme cet alliage ne contient aucun metal noble, les substances de base s'obtiennent facilement et les prix de revient ne constituent qu'une fraction des frais necessites par les alliages a metaux nobles.
