Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a tap for drawing off liquid from a container, and more especially liquid which is intended, after drawing, to be bottled where it is kept after corking thereof.
  • This tap has the advantage of being made from a reduced number of simple parts, and of having a versatile character. Indeed, in addition to the tap function, it has, taking into account the structure of the rotary shutter, the function of corkscrew or more exactly of extracting the aforementioned corks out of the neck of the bottles before the use of the liquid, by cooperation of the part of the tap comprising the handle with said plug.
  • the part of the valve forming a shutter comprises two successive tubular zones, one of which housed inside the plug and having an axial opening and a radial opening, has an outside diameter less than the inside diameter of the plugs, and of which that intended for the hooking the handle has an inside diameter slightly greater than the inside diameter of the plugs.
  • This characteristic therefore gives a complementary function to the tap, namely that of a mouthpiece.
  • the connecting means between the shutter and the handle are shaped so as to ensure that these two elements are prevented from rotating in the two possible directions of rotation.
  • This arrangement therefore makes it possible both to open the valve and to close it by rotation in the two possible directions of rotation. This facilitates the task of the user by avoiding any false operation.
  • the tap shown in Figure 2 is for be associated with a container consisting of a plastic bag (2) housed in a cardboard envelope (3).
  • This valve comprises a body (6) of generally cylindrical shape intended to be engaged, with sealing, in the neck (7) of the container (2), where it is blocked by cooperation of a groove (8) which it presents with a peripheral ring (9) projecting from said neck.
  • the body (6) of the tap comprises a plug (10) having a radial opening (12) for communication with the interior of the container.
  • a rotary shutter Inside the plug (10) is mounted a rotary shutter (13).
  • the rotary shutter comprises two successive tubular parts, the lower one (14) of which is engaged in the plug (10) and comprises, on the one hand, an axial opening (15) and, on the other hand, a radial opening (16 ), and of which the upper one (17), separated from the lower part by a web of material (18), has a series of helical ribs (19) of the same inclination forming threads.
  • a cylindrical rod (20) having, in its lower part, ribs (22) arranged in several circular helices of the same inclination, complementary to the ribs (19) of the rotating element (13 ).
  • the upper part of the rod (20) has a cross member (23) forming a handle.
  • FIG. 4 represents an alternative embodiment of this tap in which the body comprises two concentric skirts, respectively (24) and (25), intended to come into pressure, respectively, on the internal face and on the external face of the neck of the container from which the liquid is to be drawn off.
  • the liquid withdrawn from the container is advantageously packaged, in the position shown in Figure 3, in bottles of which only the neck (26) is shown. These bottles are closed by plastic caps (27).
  • Each hollow plug has a cylindrical skirt (28) limited, at its lower part, by a bottom (29) and, at its upper part, by a peripheral flange (30).
  • the plug has, between the peripheral skirt (28) and the bottom (29), a peripheral bulge (32). From the internal face of the skirt (28) project helical ribs (33) identical to those (19) projecting from the rotating element (13).
  • the internal diameter of the plugs is at rest very slightly greater than the internal diameter of the tubular part (17) of the shutter (13).
  • valve as shown in Figures 2 to 4 can fulfill other functions defined below.
  • the lower end (14) of the rotary shutter (13) can be used as a rod making it possible, as shown in FIG. 6, to press against the bottom (29) of a plug (27) to be put in place, ensuring an elongation of this plug corresponding to a reduction in the diameter thereof allowing its introduction into the neck of a bottle, until the collar (30) bears on the upper edge of the neck.
  • the plug is not damaged during its removal, which allows its reuse.
  • the arrangement according to the invention makes it possible to limit the number of parts necessary for the withdrawal of liquid from a container with a view to its bottling, for the corking of the bottles and for the uncorking of these.
  • This limitation of the number of parts combined with their simplicity makes it possible to lower the overall cost of the parts required, the investment being further minimized because the plugs are reusable.
  • the cavity formed in the tubular part (17) has a rod (32) of polygonal section, projecting from its bottom, this rod (32) being intended to be engaged in the 'interior of a recess (33) of complementary shape opening into the end of the male part (20).
  • the cooperation between the rod of polygonal section (32) and the recess (33) ensures excellent locking in rotation of the handle relative to the shutter.
  • the male part (20) has between the ribbed part (22) and its upper smooth part a peripheral rib (34) which, in the engaged position of the handle in the shutter, is intended to penetrate a groove (35 ) opening into the internal face of the shutter.
  • the cooperation between the rib (34) of the handle and the groove (35) of the shutter ensures a locking in translation of these two elements, preventing their accidental dissolution by axial displacement.
  • FIG. 11 represents an alternative embodiment of this tap in which the blocking in rotation between the shutter and the tap is achieved by providing a part of polygonal section (36) near the upper end of the shutter , in which is engaged a polygonal part (37) located between the ribbed area (32) and the smooth area of the male part (20) of the handle.
  • FIG. 12 shows a second alternative embodiment, comprising an axial locking of the handle relative to the shutter, as described above, and in which the locking in rotation is produced by the provision of ribs (38) projecting from the internal face of the tubular part (17) of the shutter, and of longitudinal grooves (39) formed in the male part (20) of the handle. It should be noted that the grooves (39) are not recessed, but constitute a simple interruption of the ribs (22).
  • the shutter (13) has two radial orifices (16a) and (16b) of different sections, used alternately if the desired withdrawal rate is high for the orifice (16a ), and if the desired flow rate is low for the orifice (16b).
