Gemäß Figur 1 befinden sich im Innenraum einer Mahlkammer 1 einer Rührwerksmühle gemahlene Suspension und Mahlkörper 2. Am Mahlgutauslaß ist ein als Spaltsieb ausgebildetes Flachsieb 4 angeordnet, dessen Spaltweiten etwa 1/3 der Mahlkörperdurchmesser betragen. In diesem Flachsieb 4 werden die Mahlkörper 2 und die die Mahlkammer 1 verlassende Suspension getrennt und gleichzeitig die Mahlkörper 2 zurückgehalten. Kleine Partikel, die etwa gleichgroß sind wie die Spaltweiten des Flachsiebs, und aus abgeriebenen und zerbrochenen Mahlkörpern sowie aus Produktpartikeln bestehen, können sich im Flachsieb festsetzen und dadurch die freie Siebfläche verringern. Ein Vibrator 5 ist an das Flachsieb angekoppelt. Eine Dichtung 6 verhindert, daß Suspension aus der Durchführungsstelle des Vibrators durch das Mahlkammergehäuse 7 nach außen fließen kann. Um ein Verstopfen des Flachsiebes zu verhindern, wird dasselbe - während des Betriebs der Rührwerksmühle - mittels des Vibrators in eine vibrierende Bewegung versetzt. Versuche haben gezeigt, daß sich abgeriebene und zerbrochene Mahlkörper und kleine Produktpartikel in dem Flachsieb während der vibrierenden Bewegung weit weniger festsetzen und dasselbe eine wesentlich längere Standzeit aufweist.According to FIG. 1, ground suspension and grinding media 2 are located in the interior of a grinding chamber 1 of an agitator mill. Die mit der Erfindung erzielten Vorteile bestehen insbesondere darin, daß auch bei sehr engen Spalten - 0,2 mm - ein wesentlich niedrigerer Siebwiderstand und damit ein kleinerer Mühleninnendruck entsteht. überraschenderweise wurden nicht ausreichend zerkleinerte Feststoffpartikel und Mahlkörperbruch; die bei den bekannten Trennvorrichtungen die Spalte bzw.
