Claims (7)

1. Apparatus for packing groups of flat objects, particularly bag packages (1), in a container (3), comprising a rotor (10) turned stepwise about a vertical axis, a plurality of holders (11) which are disposed at equal distances apart on the rotor, each holding a group of objects, and are moved one after the other to work stations (I to IV), and a stacking and transfer device (20) disposed at a first work station (I) and transferring objects into the holders, characterised in that the holders are in the form of hollow mandrels (11), are aligned with their longitudinal axis parallel to the axis of rotation of the rotor (10) and are open at the bottom, and that at a station (11) following the first station (I) an apparatus (40)for shaping one container (3) at a time around a hollow mandrel (11) is disposed.
2. Apparatus according to Claim 1, characterised in that the hollow mandrels (11) are adapted to be closed at the bottom by means of flaps (12, 13).
3. Apparatus according to Claim 1, characterised in that the flaps (12, 13) are fastened on arms (14, 15) which are pivoted at the upper end of a hollow mandrel (11).

Apparatus according to one of Claims 1 to 3, characterised in that the stacking and transfer device (20) comprises, under the hollow mandrel (11) standing ready in the first station (I), a well (21 coinciding with the hollow mandrel, an object lifter (25) delivering one object (1 at a time from below into the well, and a lifting plate (22) adapted to move from bottom to top through the well for the purpose of lifting into the hollow mandrel the group of objects formed.
5. Apparatus according to Claim 4, characterised in that the object lifters (25) are disposed for rotation on two turrets (23,24), and aligned in pairs horizontally.
6. Apparatus according to one of Claims 1 to 5, characterised in that at the station (11) of the hollow mandrels (11) a folding apparatus (40) is disposed which has folders for laying a blank (2) for a container (3) around five sides of a hollow mandrel.
7. Apparatus according to Claim 6, characterised in that the folding apparatus (40) comprises a middle part (41) lying against the bottom end of a hollow mandrel (11), two folding plates (43, 45) pivotable about the middle part, and folders (42, 44, 46) pivoted on the folding plates.
