  • (b) einen an dem ersten Arm angelenkten zweiten Arm, der durch eine druckmittelbetriebene Stellvorrichtung gegenüber dem ersten Arm verschwenkbar ist,
  • (c) einem an dem freien Ende des zweiten Armes angebrachten Waschkopf mit einem Träger (17) und einer darin gelagerten Welle, die eine Waschbürstenanordnung trägt und durch einen Antriebsmotor mit veränderlicher Drehzahl antreibbar ist, und mit einer der Waschbürstenanordnung zugeordneten Sprühvorrichtung, die an einen Tank für Reinigungsflüssigkeit anschließbar ist.

Die Gesamtansicht von Fig. 1 stellt eine Vorderansicht eines Frontauslegers mit einer Waschvorrichtung, insbesondere für Autobahn-Verkehrsschilder, dar. Der Frontausleger ist in bekannter Weise an der Vorderseite eines (nicht dargestellten) Antriebsfahrzeugs, das ein UNI-MOG sein kann, angeordnet und entsprechend Fig. 1 zur vom Fahrer her gesehen rechten Seite des Antriebsfahrzeugs gerichtet. Der Frontausleger ist so ausgerichtet, daß er auch zu der vom Fahrer her gesehen linken Seite des Antriebsfahrzeugs verschwenkt werden kann, so daß die Waschvorrichtung auf jeder Seite des Antriebsfahrzeugs betrieben werden kann. Weiterhin läßt sich der Frontausleger auch koaxial zum Antriebsfahrzeug einstellen, wodurch die Waschvorrichtung in mindestens eine Transportstellung gebracht werden kann. Das Antriebsfahrzeug trägt einen Tank mit einer Reinigungsflüssigkeit. Die Verstellung und Einstellung des Frontauslegers sowie die Betätigung der Waschvorrichtung erfolgen mit bekannten und daher nicht im einzelnen beschriebenen hydraulischen Mitteln, die durch entsprechende, fahrerseitig angeordnete Bedienungselemente betätigt werden. Der Einfachheit und Übersichtlichkeit halber sind in den Abbildungen die verschiedenen Versorgungsleitungen nicht dargestellt. Zu Transportzwecken kann die Waschvorrichtung an dem Frontausleger in zwei unterschiedliche Transportstellungen eingebracht werden. Für kürzere Transportwege wird der Träger 17 durch Einziehen der Kolbenstange 8 des zweiten Hydraulikzylinders 7 bis zur Vertikalstellung in Anlage an den Anschlag 9 nach innen geschwenkt. Der Winkel des abgewinkelten freien Endes 16 des zweiten Arms 12 ist so gewählt, daß das freie Ende 16 in dieser durch die Anlage an dem Anschlag 9 bestimmten voll eingezogenen Stellung des zweiten Arms 12 horizontal verläuft. Der weitere Hydraulikzylinder 21 wird dann so betätigt, daß der Träger 17 durch die Kolbenstange 22 in vertikale Einstellung gebracht wird. In dieser Einstellung beträgt die Gesamtbreite des Antriebsfahrzeugs mit der Waschvorrichtung weniger als 2,50 m, so daß für seinen Betrieb keine Sondergenehmigung erforderlich ist. Für längere Transportwege ist jedoch eine andere Einstellung zweckmäßiger. Dazu wird der erste Arm 1 in eine nach oben verlaufende Stellung eingebracht, in der die Ebene des Frontauslegers in der Längsmittelebene des Antriebsfahrzeugs verläuft. Der zweite Hydraulikzylinder 7 wird so weit ausgefahren, daß der zweite Arm 12 im wesentlichen horizontal verläuft. Der Hydraulikzylinder 21 und die Kolbenstange 22 werden dann so betätigt, daß der an dem abgewinkelten freien Ende 16 angelenkte Träger 17 in Richtung auf den ersten Arm 1 verschwenkt wird, bis der Träger 17 parallel zum zweiten Arm 12 und ebenfalls horizontal verläuft. Für den Betrieb der Waschvorrichtung in horizontaler Arbeitsstellung ist es wichtig, daß der Träger 17 und die Welle 18 mit den Waschbürsten 19 stets horizontal eingestellt bleiben, und zwar unabhängig von den Einstellungen der hydraulischen Stellvorrichtungen. Dazu ist gemäß Fig. 1 ein Seil 30 vorgesehen, das von der Verankerung 2 aus über drei Seilführungen geführt und an der dritten Seilführung befestigt ist. Die Seilführungen bilden Sektoren 31, 32, 33, die in ihren Mittelpunkten an dem Frontausleger angeordnet sind und entlang deren Umfangsfläche das Seil 30 zwischen hochstehenden Rändern geführt ist. Der erste Sektor 31 bildet einen 90°-Sektor, der in bezug auf den Frontausleger nach außen, d. h. nach oben gerichtet und unverdrehbar an einem Anlenkzapfen 34 befestigt ist, der den ersten Arm 1 mit der Veränderung 2 verbindet. Der zweite Sektor 32 bildet einen 180°-Sektor, der in bezug auf den Frontausleger nach außen, d. h. nach oben gerichtet und unverdrehbar an einem Anlenkzapfen 34 befestigt ist, der den ersten Arm 1 und die Halterung 3 verbindet. Die Sicherungseinrichtung 40 besteht aus einem allgemein rechteckigen, entlang der Quermittellinie einen Winkel von ca. 150° einschließenden Winkelrahmen 41, der an der Halterung 3 befestigt ist und die Buchse 11 mit dem zweiten Arm 12 an zwei gegenüberliegenden Seiten eng anliegend und an den anderen beiden gegenüberliegenden Seiten jeweils mit einem die Auslenkung der Buchse 11 bzw. des zweiten Arms 12 aus der Ebene des Frontauslegers begrenzenden Abstand umschließt. Der Winkel des Winkelrahmens 41 öffnet sich dabei nach oben in Richtung auf den Zapfen 14, und am Scheitelpunkt des Winkelrahmens 41 ist eine Rastvertiefung 42 ausgebildet. Ein Gewindebolzen 43 ist mit seinem oberen Ende an der Außenseite der Buchse 11 in einer Durchbohrung eines Wiederlagers 44 geführt und trägt an seinem unteren Ende eine Rolle 45. Eine Feder 46 umgibt den Gewindebolzen 43 und stützt sich an dem Widerlager 44 und einer auf dem Gewindebolzen 43 höhenverstellbaren, einen Federteller bildenden Mutter 47 ab, wobei die Federspannung je nach Bedarf durch Verstellung der Mutter 47 eingestellt werden kann. Die Sicherungseinrichtung 40 arbeitet wie folgt: Beim Auftreten einer hinreichend großen Querkraft an dem Träger 17 wird die Buchse 11 verschwenkt und damit die Rolle 45 gegen die Kraft der Feder 46 aus der Rastvertiefung 42 gehoben und entlang der durch den Winkelrahmen 41 bestimmten Bahn geführt. An den vorstehenden freien Enden der Bolzen 53, die mit Gewinde versehen sind, wird eine Platte 54 mit (nicht dargestellten) Muttern befestigt. Claims (15)

1. Washing device for road traffic signs, adapted for being attached to a vehicle, particularly for motorway, signs, comprising:
(a) a first arm (1) pivoted on the vehicle and pivotable relative to the vehicle by a fluid operated actuating device (56),
(b) a second arm (12) pivoted on the first arm (1) and pivotable relative to the first arm (1) by a fluid-opeated actuacting device (7, 8),
(c) a washing head attached to the free end of the second arm (12) and comprising a carrier (17) and shaft (18) mounted therein, which carries a washing brush arrangement and is arranged to be driven by a driving motor (20) having veriable speed of rotation, and a spray device associated with the washing brush device and adapted to be connected to a reservoirfor cleaning liquid,
characterized in that
(d) the second arm (12) with the carrier (17) is detachably mounted on a support (3), which is pivoted on the first arm (1), the actuating device (7, 8) engaging this support (3),
(e) the shaft (18) mounted in the carrier (17) of the washing brush arrangement carries a plurality spaced washing brushes (19), such that an elongated brush structure results,
(f) the carrier (17) is pivoted on the second arm (12) through a pivotal pin (34), and
(g) means are provided, which ensure a predetermined alignment of the washing brush arrangement under the action of gravity, in each position of the arms (1,12).
2. Washing device as set forth in claim 1, characterized in that the second arm (12) is detachably arranged in a bushing (11) and the bushing (11) is fixed to a support (3) at the free end of the first arm (1).
3. Washing device as set forth in claim 2, characterized in that the bushing (11) together with the end of the second arm (12) located therein is arranged to be partially deflected out of the plane of movement of the first arm (1), and a safety device (40) returning the bushing (11) with the second arm (12) into this plane is provided.
4. Washing device as set forth in claim 3, characterized in that the safety device (40) consists of an angular frame (41) fixedly attached to the support (3) and guiding the bushing (11) on two opposed sides, the lowest point of said angular frame (41) being arranged in the plane of movement of the first arm (1) and has a detent recess (42), and consists of a threaded bolt (43) guided by the bushing (11), said bolt engaging the angular frame (41) under the action of an adjustable load exerted by a spring (46).
5. Washing device as set forth in anyone of the claims 1-4, characterized in that the second arm (12) has a free end (16) bent off at an angle within the range of 100° to 130°.
6. Washing device as set forth in anyone of the preceeding claims, characterized in that, as means for aligning the washing brush arrangement, the carrier (17) and an anchorage (2) of the first arm (1) on the vehicle are interconnected through a rope (30), which is guided by a rope guid means.
7. Washing device as set forth in claim 6, characterized in that the rope guide means is formed by non-rotatable sectors (31, 32, 33) attached to pivotal pins (34) of the first and the second arms (1, 12) the rope (30) being guided by the circumference of these sectors (31, 32, 33).
8. Washing device as set forth in claim 7, characterized in that the first sector (31) arranged at the pivotal pin (34) at the inner end of the first arm (1) forms a 90°-sector, which is arranged at an angle of 45° to the connecting line to the second sector (32) and points upwardly, that the second sector (32) arranged at the pivotal pin (34) of the support (3) at the free end of the first arm (1) forms a 180°-sector, which is arranged along the connecting line and points upwardly, that the national connecting line extends between the pivotal pins (34) at the first arm (1), and that the third sector (33) arranged at the pivotal pins (34) of the carrier (17) at the free end (16) bent of at an angle of the second arm (12) forms a 90°-sector, which is arranged along the horizontal extending through the pivotal pins (34) and points outwardly toward the carrier (17).
9. Washing device as set forth in anyone of the claims 6-8, characterized in that the rope guide means has aligning elements (35) for the rope (30) associated with the sectors (31, 32, 33).
10. Washing device as set forth in anyone of the claims 6-9, characterized in that a springloaded tensioning roller (36) is provided, which is arranged on the carrier (17) and engages the rope (30).
11. Washing device as set forth in anyone of the claims 6-10, characterized in that one end of the rope (30) is attached to the anchorage (2) and the other end ist attached to the third sector (33) connected with the carrier (17).
12. Washing device as set forth in claim 11, characterized in that a lengthening device is provided between the first end of the rope (30) and the first sector (31) as means for aligning the washing brush arrangement.
13. Washing device as set forth in claim 1, characterized in that the second arm (12) carries a swivelling arm (50) pivoted at its free end, the carrier (17) being detachably affixed thereto.
14. Washing device as set forth in claim 13, characterized in that the swivelling arm (50) has, at its free end, a fastening device (52) engaging the carrier (17) at least at two opposed sides.
15. Washing device as set forth in claim 14, characterized in that a safety device against displacement of the fastening device (52) relative to the carrier (17) is provided.
