Der äussere Hebelarm 7 dient als Handbetätigungs-Griff und der im Seiten-Längsschlitz 5 des Schnurführungskanals 4 geführte zweite Hebelarm 8 weist an seinem Ende einen Schlitz 9 auf, zur Aufnahme eines Schnurendes 10. Als Seitenwände des Zeitungsbehälters 1 sind in rechtwinklige Schlitze 11 an allen vier Ecken des Bodens 2 je ein mit rechtwinkligem Querschnitt versehenes Längsprofil 12 auswechselbar eingesteckt. In Figur 3 A und B ist ein solches Längsprofil 12 dargestellt. Falls man Zeitungen und/oder Zeitschriften grösseren Formats, z.B. englischen Formats, in den Zeitungsbehälter 1 legen will, dann steckt man in die Schlitze 11 je ein Längsprofil 12 ein, wie es aus den Fig. 4 A und B ersichtlich ist. Diese ebenfalls mit rechtwinkligem Querschnitt versehenen Längsprofile 12 sind direkt oberhalb den Schlitzen 11 an ihren beiden Schenkeln nach aussen versetzt. Dadurch wird die Auflagefläche im Zeitungsbehälter 1 verlängert und verbreitert. An der dem Handbetätigungs-Griff 7 gegenüberliegenden Boden-Querseite ist in den Boden 2 ein Kasten 14 zur Aufnahme eines Schnur-Kneuels angeordnet. Die Öffnung 16 zur Entnahme der Schnur liegt an der Aussenseite des Kastens 14. Die wesentlichen Bestandteile der Vorrichtung, wie Boden 2, Schnurführungskanal 4, Schnurführungs-Hebel 6, Schnur-Kasten 14 und Seiten-Längsprofile 12 bestehen vorteilhaft aus Kunststoff. Anstelle der Längsprofile 12 aus Kunststoff könnten in den Boden 2 auch aus Draht geformte Längsprofile mit rechtwinkligem Querschnitt eingesteckt sein.
