- the casing 12 b- comprises roughly in the horizontal diametral plane of the end roller 13 a slot 30 which extends over the entire width of the machine and in which is received an attached element constituted by a metal or plastic bar 31 removably fixed and with a leaktight seal on the envelope (Fig. 2). This attachment is accessible from outside the machine.
- This added element which, in the example shown has a T-shaped cross section, carries along its edge disposed inside the envelope a seal consisting of a hollow body or inflatable tube 32 made of a material elastomer and carrying a wear material 33 with a low coefficient of friction.

- the hollow body or flange 32 has a base 34 which ensures its fixing in a groove 35 of the bar. In the free state, the flange has a flattened shape, as shown in solid lines in FIG. 2, and it is connected by a conduit 36 to a source of pressurized fluid, air or liquid, making it possible to give it the expanded form shown in phantom.

- the slot 40 formed in the wall 12 b- has a lower height than in the previous example and the sealing device comprises a casing or cover 41 removably and tightly fixed on the envelope 12 b- and carrying a hollow body or inflatable tube 42 similar to that shown in FIG. 2.
- This flange is therefore placed outside the envelope and carries a blade or bar 43 of relatively small thickness which extends through the slot 40 and projects inside this envelope.
- This blade may have at its end a lining 44 made of a material with a low coefficient of friction, such as "Teflon" or other similar material.
