Abstract

1. An arrangement (9) for fastening a test line (7) to connection terminals of electrical devices, which terminals are covered (2) so as to be safe from contact and are accessible by way of a cylindrical opening (14) characterised in that a permanently magnetic, cylindrical intermediate component is inserted between the test line (7), or test plug (8) and the connecting terminal (5).

Description

The invention relates to an arrangement for attaching a test line to touch-proof covered, accessible via a cylindrical opening terminals of electrical devices.

In systems with low-voltage switchgear, particularly in control distributions, it must be possible to measure potential between the terminals of a device or between different devices. This may be necessary to check when setting up the system or to troubleshoot existing faults. Since the connections of the devices are covered for safety reasons, there is hardly any possibility of tapping potentials with commercially available terminals without having auxiliary persons available who press the test probes onto the connection screws or onto another, open, tapped, live point. This leads to a relatively high expenditure of personnel and time. In a known arrangement (document AR 8691 D 5 N. Industrial relay CA 2-F from Telemecanique) of the type mentioned above, a test socket is therefore attached to the contact lead in addition to the connection terminal, which is accessible through a separate housing opening. Apart from the additional work steps and the cost of materials when attaching such a contact socket, which must be present on each individual terminal, these sockets are only suitable for the diameter of a plug, so that special test leads with plugs are required.

The invention is intended to improve an arrangement of the type mentioned above such that a versatile test is also possible on any devices with little effort. This is achieved in a simple manner in that a permanent-magnetic, cylindrical intermediate part is inserted between the test line or test plug and the connection.

It is known per se to contact lines for welding devices (CA-A-907717) for headphones (CH-A-489121) or for probes on the body (US-A-4 067 342) via magnets. However, these are generally small voltages that are harmless when touched (DE-A-1 805 539).

In the arrangement according to the invention, no adaptation of the housing geometry to the connection or the terminal is necessary, and covers in the housing on which test claws could be supported are not required. The intermediate part can be designed here as a bushing, but this is relatively difficult to manufacture as a permanent magnet. It is therefore more advantageous if a plug socket is connected to the permanent magnet on the outside of the base. In order to avoid spreading voltage outside the cover, it is advantageous if the permanent magnet and the plug socket are connected to one another via an insulating sheath. To ensure a safe transition, i. H. To ensure without large contact resistances between the permanent magnet and the socket, it is advantageous if a solderable layer is introduced between the permanent magnet and the socket. A simple connection between the permanent magnet and the socket can be achieved if there is an opening on the outside of the bottom of the plug socket which is adapted to the outer contour of the permanent magnet and into which the permanent magnet is pressed with the interposition of a thin, conductive film. To ensure that the permanent magnet also rests on the connecting screw during the test, it can be advantageous if the permanent magnet is designed as a screwdriver blade on the bottom side. In order to ensure reliable contact between the magnet and the connection even when shaken, it has proven to be advantageous if the intermediate part consists of cobalt and rare earths, preferably samarium.

An exemplary embodiment according to the invention is described with reference to the drawing and the mode of operation is explained in more detail. It shows
  • 1 shows an electrical device, for example a contactor, in perspective with corresponding connection terminals,
  • FIG. 2 shows a partial view of the cover and the connecting screw of the contactor with an overlying arrangement for attaching the test line, partly in section, and
  • Figure 3 shows a side section through a further embodiment of the arrangement for attaching a test line.

Die dünne, leitfähige Folie 19 besteht beispielsweise aus Kupfer GAL SN.1 consists of the base 1, the cover 2, by which the clamping screws 3 are covered against contact. The clamping screw 3 is screwed into the box terminal 4 indicated by dashed lines, which is connected to the actual connection 5. An insertion funnel 6 is used to insert the connecting conductor into the box terminal 4. As shown in FIG. 1, the clamping screw 3 is not readily accessible from the cover side, so that it is not readily possible to check the connection to the test line 7 to which a test plug 8 is attached. For this purpose, the arrangement 9 according to the invention for attaching a test line is connected to the test plug 8. The arrangement 9 can be seen from FIG. 2. It consists of the permanent magnet 10 and the socket 11 for the test plug 8, which are connected to one another via a solderable layer 12. An insulating sheath 13 serves as protection against contact and for additional mechanical holding. To carry out the test, only the magnet 10 needs to be passed through the opening 14 in the cover 2 in order to come into an electrically conductive connection with the head of the clamping screw 3. It can be seen that there is only one arrangement per end of the test line, whereas in the prior art there is a separate socket for each individual terminal. It is also easily possible to adapt the plug hole 15 of the socket 11 to the test line 7 or the test plug 8 to be used. Fig. 3 shows a further embodiment of the arrangement according to the invention, according to which on the outside 16 of the bottom 17 of the socket 11 there is an opening 18 adapted to the outer contour of the permanent magnet 10, into which the permanent magnet 10 is pressed with the interposition of a thin, conductive foil 19 is. The permanent magnet 10 according to FIG. 3 runs out in the form of a screwdriver blade 20 on the bottom side. The thin, conductive film 19 consists for example of copper GAL SN.
