Description

The invention relates to a crawler traversing machine in which a caterpillar carrying the caterpillar tracks is fixed to the machine frame on both sides of the machine frame. Such cutting machines are used in mining for tunneling as well as in the construction industry for driving tunnels or, if necessary, for mining rock in road construction. When driving on lines, it is important to keep the height of the cutting machine as low as possible. The ridge height is usually low and there should still be room above the cutting machine for various additional equipment such as removal aids, dedusting devices, etc. The ground clearance is of minor importance, since the cutting machine generally only moves forward in one lane and the sole is cleared through the loading ramp. Even with a soft sole there is therefore no risk of the frame sitting on. When used in the construction industry, on the other hand, wide distances are covered, for example, in the manufacture of tunnels. The machine cuts only a partial cross-section at a time, then has to move back and move forward in another lane. There is a risk that the machine frame of the cutting machine will sit on the ground if there is little ground clearance, be it that the caterpillars sink in on a soft sole or that boulders lie on the sole. The same also applies if or the like in road construction. is cut in open areas. So far, therefore, either a relatively large height of the cutting machine had to be accepted for the mining operation or the use of a low-size cutting machine, which is favorable for mining, made it difficult to use it for the construction industry.

The invention now aims to make a cutting machine usable under favorable conditions both in the mining and in the construction industry. The invention exists here essentially in that the caterpillars, that is the caterpillar frames which carry the caterpillar chain, are fastened to the machine frame in a height-adjustable manner. In this way, it is possible to use the same cutting machine in mining with a small height dimension and thus with low ground clearance and in the construction industry with a large ground clearance but larger dimensions. When driving in mining, the low ground clearance can be accepted without disadvantage and when used in the construction industry, the larger ground clearance prevents the machine frame of the cutting machine from sitting on the ground and therefore the caterpillars. spin freely.

Theoretically, the caterpillars can be connected to the machine frame via a lifting device, but such a training is expensive. According to the invention, the caterpillars are therefore preferably releasably attached to the machine frame and can be attached to it at at least two different heights. Such training is structurally simple and completely sufficient for the intended purpose, since a cutting machine is only used over long periods of time either in the mining or in the construction industry and therefore a frequent changeover is not an option. According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, straps projecting inward are fixed, in particular welded, to the caterpillar ships, which can be connected to outwardly projecting straps of the machine frame by means of connecting bolts, the straps of the caterpillar ships and / or the straps of the machine frame having holes for the connecting bolts in have different altitudes. This creates a simple fastening option and takes into account the fact that the caterpillars must be at a certain distance from the frame. For strength reasons, the straps of the caterpillars or the machine frame are expediently encompassed by double straps of the machine frame or the caterpillar ships.

In the drawing, the invention is explained schematically using an exemplary embodiment.

Fig. 1 shows a cross section through the machine frame and the caterpillars according to line I-I of Fig. 2, Fig. 2 shows a plan view of the attachment points.

On the caterpillar ships 1, which carry the caterpillars 2, inwardly projecting tabs 3 are welded. Tabs 5 projecting outward are welded to the machine frame 4. The tabs 5 have three holes 6, 7 and 8 and the tabs 3 have two holes 9. The connection is made by connecting bolts 10. When the connecting bolts 10 are inserted into the bores 6 and 7 of the brackets 5, the ground clearance or the ground clearance a of the machine frame 4 is smaller, as is shown in the left part of FIG. 1. If the connecting bolts 10 are inserted into the bores 7 and 8 of the tabs 5, as shown in the right part of FIG. 1, the ground clearance or the ground clearance a 2 is greater.

Diese Verbindungsbolzen 10 können als Schraubbolzen ausgebildet sein oder mit Splinten in ihrer Lage gesichert sein.2 shows, the tabs 5 of the machine frame 4 are designed as double tabs for strength reasons. At each end of the caterpillar two tabs 3 and two pairs of tabs 5 are arranged. These pairs of tabs can be connected by a common connecting bolt 10. These connecting bolts 10 can be designed as screw bolts or can be secured in their position with split pins.
