Description

The invention is based on a snow removal device for mounting on the front of a transport vehicle, with a snow blower and two clearance screws rotating about vertical axes and arranged in the clearing direction in front of the side frame parts of the centrifugal wheel housing, which are covered by part-cylindrical deflector plates over part of their outside and rear circumference are.

Such a snow removal device is known from German Patent 27 21 411. The known device has deflecting plates which can be pivoted about vertical axes in order to be able to adapt their position to correspondingly pivotable clearing augers. The deflector plates, which can also be pivoted independently of the clearing auger, serve to direct the snow captured in the auger in front of the centrifugal wheel. So that the clearing augers can also be used for working into snow walls made of hard frozen snow, the deflection plates are pivoted into a rearward position in which they are disengaged.

Practice has shown that such baffle plates are of great use, but are easy to damage in the known embodiment.

The present invention is therefore based on the object to improve the structural design of the deflector plates in the sense of increasing their stability and to enable their adjustment in such a way that they are effective in any position.

This object is achieved in that each deflector plate is connected to a cover plate and a base plate to form a rigid swivel part which is pivotally mounted in the area of the cover plate and base plate about the axis of rotation of the assigned auger, that the swivel range of the swivel part is between 50 and 80 Is degrees, and that in its forward swivel position the plane between the front edge of the deflector and the associated axis of rotation deviates by up to 55, preferably about 42 to 45 degrees in the broaching direction from a plane spanned by the axes of rotation of the augers.

In contrast to the prior art, according to the proposal according to the invention, the deflector plate is not lifted from the auger in any swivel position. The driver has the option of adapting the swivel position of the deflector plate, which always closely surrounds the auger, to the respective requirements. He will choose a front or middle swivel position for powdery, soft and wet snow, and a rear swivel position for hard snow. The deflector always deflects the detected snow to the blast wheel opening and thus increases the efficiency of the blast wheel drive, combined with an enlargement of the clearing cross section. Due to the partially cylindrical shape of the swivel part containing the deflector, it is characterized by a high degree of stability, so that it can penetrate into the snow wall with the usual types of snow in a middle to front swivel position without being damaged.

An expedient embodiment of the invention provides that the deflector plate is formed by a cylinder shell extending over 70 to 100 angular degrees. The preferred size is 75 to 84 degrees.

A swivel range of the swivel part that is sufficient for all clearing tasks is between 60 and 65 degrees.

While the swivel part with its top and bottom plate is mounted directly on the axis of rotation of the auger, the axis of rotation of each auger is supported in such a way that a front housing is attached to the centrifugal wheel housing on both sides, which has a cylindrical shell part that closely surrounds the outside of the assigned deflector plate and on the top and bottom of each includes a supporting part supporting the axis of rotation of the assigned auger.

Appropriately, the rotary drive for the auger is arranged on the one hand on the upper support part, on the other hand, the swivel drive for the swivel part. Both drives are preferably designed in the manner of hydraulic rotary drives so that they can be actuated via a hydraulic system provided on the vehicle. A servomotor is preferably suitable for the swivel drive, which at the same time immovably fixes the swivel part in the respective swivel position.

The snow blower used in the snow removal device according to the invention can have one or two blower wheels.

Fig. 4).2, the swivel part 17 shown on the right is shown in its foremost swivel position, the swivel part 16 shown on the left in its rearmost swivel position. The drive transmission from the swivel drive 22 to the swivel parts 16, 17 takes place via a pinion 24 which is connected to the swivel drive 22 and which engages in a curved chain 25 on the cover plate 18. The chain 25 runs inside a cross-sectionally U-shaped, circularly curved rail 26 which is welded to the top of the cover plate 18 (cf. FIG. 4).

In Fig. 3 the pivot part 17 shown on the right is shown in perspective. The surrounding components are only indicated schematically. The swivel part 17 is in its maximum swiveled forward position; the front edge 29 of the swivel part 17 is located by approximately 45 degrees in front of a plane spanned by the axes of rotation of the two augers. A vertical bar 27 serving for stiffening is welded to the outside of the deflector plate 28 in the vicinity of the front edge 29. In the rearward swivel position of the swivel part 17, the strip 27 simultaneously forms a limit stop against the outer edge 30 of the casing part 31 of the front housing 12, which is stiffened by ribs 38. Fig. 4 shows a half section through the pivot part 17 with a shortened view in the direction of the axis of rotation 15. The swivel part 17 is composed of the cylindrical shell-shaped deflector plate 28, the cover plate 18 and the base plate 19. Together, these parts form a rigid construction unit. The cover plate 18 and the base plate 19 each have bearing bores through which the axis of rotation 15 runs. The two plates are supported in the area of their bearing bores radially and axially via friction-reducing slide bearing bushes 32, 33 with respect to bearing rings 34, 35 seated on the rotary shaft 15. The sliding bush 33 of the base plate 19 also axially rests on the lower support part 13, which in turn is firmly connected to the front housing 12. For assembly reasons, the cover plate 18 of the swivel part 17 is screwed by means of screws 36 to a ring segment 37 welded to the deflector plate 28. The space between the augers 2, 3 and in front of the centrifugal wheel 4 is covered at the top by a cover 39 so that snow whirled up does not impair the driver's view.
