Description

The invention relates to a roll stand according to the preamble of claim 1 and is based on the prior art given by DE-A-2 304 268.

Roll stands of this type are intended to permit uninterrupted operation as far as possible. Therefore, the replacement of wear parts must be carried out in the shortest possible time. On the other hand, the exchange units should be as small as possible, i. H. limit yourself to the wearing parts in order to keep the operating and maintenance costs as well as the effort for the spare parts storage low. Various constructions have already become known for this purpose (DE-A-742 990, DE-A-2 304 268, US-A-3 336 781), which provide an easily releasable connection between individual parts of such a roll stand and rapid replacement enable these parts. In this case, however, relatively large housing parts, including functional parts that are subject to only slight wear, are still replaced. This then requires complex assembly, sealing and alignment work. It is the object of a roll stand of the type to enable axial removal and installation of the rolling shafts including eccentric bushings through the front opening of the housing even when the rolling shafts are to be adjusted together via external toothed rings of the eccentric bushings arranged within the housing.

This object is achieved in a roll stand of the type mentioned at the outset by the characterizing features of claim 1. All supply lines, roller fittings and roller guides connected to the housing can be retained and remain unchanged when changing. The storage and procurement of the change parts and the change itself are considerably cheaper.

It should be noted that the individual expansion of rolling shafts in non-generic publications is known in principle cf. DE-A-2 247 622, FR-A-2 044 472 and US-A-3 611 531. but without suggesting the problem according to the application or its solution.

In an embodiment of the invention, the eccentric bushings are provided on their circumference with a groove into which a wedge, which is common to the eccentric bushings and is mounted in the housing, can be inserted by means of a spindle, which axially fixes the eccentric bushings and, when pulled out, allows the eccentric bushings to be removed. This design results in a very simple and reliable connection of the exchange units to the housing, but at the same time ensures that this connection is released with the least possible effort.

In the drawing, an embodiment of the invention is shown, namely in
  • Figure 1 in longitudinal section through a roll stand, in
  • Figure 2 in section along the line 11-11 in Fig. 1, in
  • Figure 3 in section along the line 111-111 in Fig. 1 and in
  • Figure 4 in section along the line IV-IV in Fig. 3rd

A housing 1 with oil bores 2 is closed at its end on the roll side with an end plate 3. Two roller shafts 5 with their end 4 intended for receiving roller disks 4 passing through the end plate 3 are mounted in eccentric bushings 6, which in turn are rotatably mounted in the housing 1. The roller shafts 5 carry at their other end gears 7, the external teeth of which engage with the internal toothing of wheels 8 mounted in the housing 1 concentrically with the eccentric bushes 6, regardless of the position of the eccentric bushes 6. The wheels 8 are seated on intermediate shafts mounted in the housing 1 9, which are connected to one another via spur gears 10. One of the two intermediate shafts 9 is connected to the roller drive.

The roll adjustment is carried out symmetrically by rotating the eccentric bushes 6 in opposite directions via an adjusting spindle 11 with two worm gears 12 and two adjusting wheels 13.

Each of the two eccentric bushes 6 is provided with a circumferential groove 14 into which a common wedge 15 engages, which is slidably mounted in the housing 1 via elongated holes 16 and pins 17. The eccentric bushes 6 are fixed in the axial direction by the wedge 15 in the housing 1. The wedge 15 can be pulled out of the grooves 15 by means of a spindle 18. He then releases the eccentric bushes 6 so that they can be individually and collectively pulled out and exchanged on the front side from the housing 1, in each case together with the roller shaft bearings, the roller shafts 5 and the gear wheels 7.

The opening in the end plate 3 need only be as large as the front bearing diameter D of the eccentric bushes 6, since the remaining parts of the exchange units, i.e. the eccentric bushes 6 themselves, the ring gear 19 with which the adjusting wheels 13 mesh, and also the toothed wheels 7 are dimensioned such that they have no larger diameter or projection.
