Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a filter bag for retaining physical particles, one application of which constitutes a dust bag for a vacuum cleaner, comprising a part permeable to fluids, essentially gaseous, such as air for example, having at least one opening intended to allow the introduction of a conduit through which the fluid charged with particles flows into the receptacle.
  • Known dust bags are generally made up of an air-permeable part, made of filter material, such as paper.
  • the wall of the bag has a hole for the introduction of a conduit for the circulation of a dust-laden fluid. This hole is, in general, executed to leave deformable parts forming a sealing device surrounding the duct.
  • Such bags also include, as is known from patent US-A 2 975 862, a rigid base having an opening placed in coincidence with the hole and ensuring a first function of adaptation of the bag in a receptacle intended to contain it and a second function of stiffening the bag and centering the latter on the duct.
  • this base secured to the bag, is discarded with the latter after use, which represents a significant loss because such a base, necessarily executed in a strong carton or the like, is of a high cost price.
  • the present invention overcomes these drawbacks by making it possible to use and use a simple dust bag, which is easy and economical to manufacture, which is light, practical to use and best fulfills the functions for which it is intended.
  • Fig. 1 shows a first embodiment of a bag according to the invention.
  • a bag for example made of filter paper, can be envelope type with two closed ends.
  • the envelope is locally of the two-thickness type and thus comprises, in one of the parts of the walls, an outer layer 2 with a cutout 3 and an opening 6, for example circular.
  • the envelope has a second layer 4, called the inner layer, having an opening 5 which is placed in coincidence with the opening 6 of the layer 2.
  • the openings 5 and 6 have dimensions allowing the passage of a duct 8 for circulation of an air charged with dust.
  • Figs. 2 and 3 show, on a larger scale, that according to the invention, the bag described above is completed by a base 11 made of a rigid material, such as compact cardboard, plastic material, etc.
  • 'base 11 comprises two parts 12 and 16 extending, according to the example illustrated, in the same direction, substantially parallel from a common bottom 17.
  • Part 12, called the connection with the bag has a width slightly less than the length of the cutout 3, so that it can be inserted into the latter and be arranged in the interval between the layers 2 and 4.
  • the part 16, called adaptation has, length less than the part 12 and offers a complementary configuration to the fixing means which are provided, on or in a receptacle of the bag, such as the compartment of a vacuum cleaner.
  • Part 12 has an opening 13 provided with a sealing device 14 which may be, in known manner, a lip made of elastically deformable material of small thickness.
  • the lining 14 can be attached to the outer face of the part 12 or to the inner face as shown in phantom in FIG. 3.
  • the part 16 has an opening 15 coaxial with the opening 13.
  • the openings 13 and 15 are provided to allow passage of the duct 8 and the seal 14 is provided to surround, with elastic deformation, such a duct.
  • the means described above are adapted (fig. 4) by ensuring the insertion of part 12 of the base 11 in the cutout 3. Part 12 is thus inserted into the interval between layers 2 and 4, up to a position in which the openings 13 and 15 coincide with the openings 5 and 6.
  • the bag fitted as said above can be mounted arranged or placed in the receptacle or the compartment provided for receiving it, for example, from a vacuum cleaner.
  • Part 16 is adapted to the fixing means which are provided for this purpose, for example around a passage opening in the compartment through which the duct 8 projects.
  • Fig. 4 shows that the swelling of the bag 1, under the effect of the introduction of a flow of air loaded with particles, has the effect of pressing the layer or thickness 4 under the part 12 and the seal 14 around of the tube 8. This therefore makes it possible to produce an adaptation seal between the opening 5 and the conduit or tube 8.
  • the part 12 represents, for the layer or wall thickness 4, a support and a stop opposing any tendency to an exaggerated deformation of said wall in an area where the latter would not meet sufficient support by the walls delimiting the compartment.
  • a third function of the arrangement according to the invention lies in the fact that the part 16 constitutes a removable adaptation and support element for the bag on the fixing means provided for this purpose in the receiving compartment.
  • the compartment can be opened to allow the release of the conduit 8, either automatically or by manual extraction. This release frees the base 11 from the compartment and extracts the full bag 1.
  • the relining of the vacuum cleaner is carried out by mounting a new bag at the level of the opening 3 from which the casing 11, previously released from the bag used, is reinserted to reconstitute the means cooperating with each other in order to assume the functions described above.
  • the base 11 is made independent of the bag and can be removed from a full bag to re-equip an empty bag.
  • This allows a base 11 Particular è- surely neat and provide, in particular, all suitable location, on the one hand, for connection to the bag and then the assembly thus formed on the apparatus suction, on the other hand, for a particularly careful sealing in relation to the inlet duct of the dust-laden air.
  • Fig. 5 shows an alternative embodiment according to which the bag according to the invention, designated as a whole by the reference 100, has locally on the outer face of its peripheral wall and, for example, on the part referenced 102, a strip 103 can be reported by bonding or any other means at two lateral areas 104.
  • the strip 103 is therefore free with respect to the part 102 which it covers and delimits, with the latter, the interval existing in the previous embodiment example between layers 2 and 4.
  • the part 102, covered by the strip 103 has an opening 105 coincident with which an opening 106 of the strip 103 is placed.
  • Such an arrangement therefore makes it possible, with one of the edges of the strip 103, for example the edge 107, to delimit, with the part 102 covered, an opening 108 allowing the introduction, in the direction of the arrow f 1 , a base 11 of the type described with reference to FIG. 2.
  • FIG. 5 makes it possible to simplify the execution of the bag 100 and further lower the cost price of the latter, while providing a product that meets the characteristics of holding and sealing at the level of the conduit 8 inserted.
  • Fig. 5 shows that the connection between the strip 103 and the part 102 may involve, for example, bonding at a third edge 109, such as that shown in dashed lines. Such a connection makes it possible to further improve the seal established between the part 102 and the segment of the conduit 8 passing through it.
  • Fig. 6 corresponds to an alternative embodiment consisting in ensuring the adaptation of the strip 103 by means of lateral pads 104a which are turned inward. This makes it possible to confer, at the interval which is thus provided for the reception of the part 12 of the base 11, a useful thickness compatible with the reception and the sliding of said part 12.
  • Fig. 7 shows a preferred embodiment according to which the strip 103 is produced in the form of a segment of section or tubular casing 103a, laid flat by folding, for example along two generators diametrically opposed, and adapted by one dishes on the part 102 of the bag 100.
  • the tubular segment 103a is attached in particular by bonding to the outer face of the part 102 which represents the inner layer.
  • the upper plate of segment 103a constitutes the upper layer.
  • the two plates of the segment 103a delimit the interval into which the part 12 of the base 11 can be inserted, by sliding in the direction of the arrow f 1.
  • Either of the open cross sections of the segment 103a represents an opening 108 assuming the function of cutting 3.
  • the upper plate of the segment 103a has an opening 106 while the lower plate is provided with an opening 105 for the engagement of the conduit 8.
  • the opening 105 is placed, in the position of use, opposite an opening 5 formed in part 102 of the bag.
  • Such an embodiment facilitates the manufacture of the bag and offers the advantages of simplicity, efficiency and ease of implementation and use.
  • the segment 103a can be made of any suitable material. It is preferable, however, to retain a plastic material, of small thickness, such as polyethylene. Indeed, as it appears in fig. 8, it then becomes possible to make the opening 105 according to a diameter slightly smaller than that of the conduit 8. Thus, during the cooperation, the lower plate forms, by its part bordering the opening 105, a sort of peripheral lip 105a , surrounding the duct 8 which can be just engaged or traversing with respect to said opening. The lip 105a thus assumes a function of a seal in replacement of the device 14 which no longer has to be provided.
  • Fig. 9 shows another alternative embodiment according to which the delimitation of the interval and the engagement opening of the part 12 are obtained by using the edges, selvedges or longitudinal edges 110 and 111 of a strip of folded filtering raw material. on itself to form a tubular envelope 112.
  • Such an envelope represents, after cutting to the desired length, a bag whose transverse ends are closed by folding and / or gluing for example.
  • the covering part 110 and the covered part 111 define a covering range which is at least equal, if not greater, to the length of the part 12.
  • edges 110 and 111 are joined together by all appropriate means, in particular by gluing, as it appears in the form of hatches interrupted in the drawings, so as to leave subsist, as defined by a dotted line, a housing 113 assimilating to the interval of the preceding examples.
  • the housing 113 is accessible by the corresponding longitudinal edge 110a of the covering part 110, which is not made integral with the external surface of the covered part 111.
  • a base 11 can be introduced by the part 12 in the direction of the arrow f 1 , shown in the drawing.
  • the openings 13 and 15 of the parts 12 and 16 are thus brought into coincidence with the openings 114 and 115 which are provided for this purpose in the parts 110 and 111.
  • Fig. 10 illustrates an alternative embodiment according to which provision may be made to give the base 11 a sufficient length so that the bottom 17 of connection between the parts 12 and 16 is, after the proper positioning and insertion in the meantime receiving, arranged near one of the edges or a fold presented by the bag, such as that designated by the reference 116 in FIG. 8.
  • the superposition of the bottom 17 and the edge 116 can be used to ensure a firm and resistant connection and connection, in particular by means of an elastic clamp 117.
  • the base 11 is thus immobilized in a firm position to cooperate with the means for fixing the bag inside the compartment, without requesting, for this function, the part 103-103aou110.
  • Fig. 10 shows, in phantom, that it can be provided to have at the bottom 17 a bar 118 having, for example, a length substantially equal to the width of the bag. He becomes thus possible to simultaneously use the bar 118 and the clamp 117 to strengthen the position of the base on the bag and to achieve a closing of the latter when the edge 116 represents, for example, the open mouth of the bag.
  • Such a means makes it possible to significantly reduce the cost of manufacturing a bag since a single transverse closing operation is then necessary, the second closing being carried out by the user at the time of implementation.
  • Fig. 11 illustrates another alternative embodiment according to which one of the parts of the base 11, for example the part 12, forms directly or comprises, associated with itself, an articulated clamp 119 intended to clamp the edge 116.
  • An embodiment equivalent to the technical plan is shown in fig. 12. According to the latter, the clamp 119 is formed by a part 120 articulated on a bar 118a which is formed by the base 11 from the bottom 17 and in the plane of the part 12.
  • Fig. 13 shows that the base 11 can also include a part 12a for connection with the bag and an adaptation part 16a extending in the same plane. In such a case, only the part 12a then has an opening 13 possibly bordered by a lining 14. Such an embodiment may be made necessary depending on the structure of the fixing means.
  • the part 16a can also be of different conformation from the part 12a, as illustrated in phantom. Likewise, provision may be made to impart a different relative orientation to the two parts and, for example, a right angle arrangement.
