1. An installation for transporting pasty products having a high viscosity comprising:
- a filling hopper (6) for receiving the product to be transported,
- An Archimedes screw (3) extending at the base of the hopper;
- a Moineau pump (1) for shifting the product to be transported, which product is forced to the intake of the pump by the Archimedes screw, the Archimedes screw (3) and the rotor (2) of the pump being approximately coaxial and being rotatively coupled to one another,
- and drive means for rotatably driving the Archimedes screw (3) and the rotor (2) of the pump (1),

characterized in that it comprises, on the one hand, a second Archimedes screw (7) having a winding pitch the reverse of that of the first above-mentioned Archimedes screw, this second Archimedes screw (7) being disposed at the base of the filling hopper (6) and extending approximately parallel to the first Archimedes screw (3), substantially in the same base plane as this latter and, on the other hand, drive means for causing the second Archimedes screw (7) to rotate in the opposite direction to the first one.

6. The installation as claimed in any one of claims 1 to 5, characterized in that the two Archimedes screws have the same diameter and the same helical pitch.
7. The installation as claimed in claim 6, characterized in that the two Archimedes screws are axially offset with respect to each other and in that the distance separating their axes is less than their diameter.
8. The installation as claimed in any one of claims 1 to 7, characterized in that the end parts of the Archimedes screws which are adjacent the Moineau pump are surrounded by a common casing (19) which takes on substantially the shape of the outer contour of the two Archimedes screws, said casing having an axial length at least equal to one helical pitch.
