Description

The invention relates to a circular ride with a passenger carrier, which is attached to the free end of a cantilever arm that can be rotated and driven about a horizontal axis and is movable with the latter, the counterweight only compensating for the tare weight of the passenger carrier, that several, each of its own on the gearwheel Oil or DC motor mounted gear concentric with the axis is driven by a pinion.

In the circular ride of this type known from US-A-1987004, an electric motor is provided, the output pinion of which cooperates with the gearwheel which is fastened on a shaft carrying the cantilever arm. In this known circular ride, the cantilever arm is extended beyond this drive shaft and carries a counterweight at its end opposite the passenger carrier, the size of which can be changed by changing the water filling.

If the color behavior of such a round trip business is approximated to that of a swing - in particular a rollover swing - large forces must be transferred from the motor drive to the gear, because the diameter ratio between the boom and the gear is very large. This also applies if the passenger carrier is to be accelerated to its circular motion quickly and without rocking. The known arrangement for transmitting the motor drive force to the gearwheel would require such a large tooth width that a practical design is generally not possible.

The invention is therefore based on the object of driving a cantilever arm which can be rotated about an axis and is eccentrically loaded, and for this purpose to apply the large torque required for this purpose via a gear drive of reasonable dimensions.

According to the invention, this object is achieved in that the cantilever arm is extended beyond the axis to a second cantilever arm that bears a counterweight, and a pinion driven on the cantilever arms works, and in that the gear wheel is part of a rotary bearing connection. In this way it is possible to keep the tooth dimensions within normal limits and still transmit considerable driving forces. The elasticity of the oil motor drive or DC motor drive compensates for differences in the individual pinions. In addition, the hydraulic drive enables the implementation of a freewheel (which is preferably provided at least during the downward movement of the rocking basket) with the simplest means, namely by a by-pass to the oil motor or motors, in which a valve opens as soon as the pressure conditions (when Change to downward travel).

From DE-A-1650848 it is known to provide several sprockets at the circumference of a central gearwheel and to drive each sprocket by its own motor.

In addition to the use of this drive arrangement in circular rides, the design of the gear as part of a ball slewing ring makes it possible to dispense with a central shaft and a relatively large bearing and gear diameter.

Unless the freewheeling trip already discussed is provided, the drive power acting on the cantilever arm (possibly also the drive torque) should preferably be the same over the entire circular path of the passenger carrier.

The drive according to the invention can be used with success in other round rides of the present type. Thus, it can be provided that the passenger carrier is rigidly attached to the free end of the cantilever arm and is essentially shaped in accordance with a section of the circular path described by the end of the cantilever arm. With such a design, the desired imbalance has the effect that the movement of the passenger carrier is delayed in the rising branch of the circular path and accelerated in the falling branch. The passengers therefore have the impression of flying a loop or driving in a car.

That impression of the passengers increases when the passenger carrier engages over a ring which essentially corresponds to the circular path and is concentric with the axis and which is also fastened to the cantilever arms. In the operation of this tour business, the people sitting on the passenger carrier have the impression of sitting in a car and driving it along the rail formed by the ring.

While in the construction of the round trip business according to the invention described above, the passengers are thrown overhead through the upper area of the circular path, an alternative embodiment of the round trip business according to the invention is based on a passenger carrier which is pivoted at the free end of the cantilever arm in such a way that it can be pivoted in all angular positions of the extension arm hangs horizontally, a counterweight on a compensating arm extending from the axis in the opposite direction essentially compensating for the empty weight of the passenger carrier. In this case, which corresponds in principle to the construction known from DE-A-2549261, it is provided according to the invention that the passenger carrier is seated on a cantilever arm extending parallel to the axis of the cantilever arm. In this way, the passenger carrier on the one hand is completely free of any design structures, so that the passengers are given the impression that they are floating freely in the air. This impression is reinforced if - as preferred - the seats of the passenger carrier are arranged transversely to its pivot axis, with the backrests to the cantilever arm. Also received this provides passengers with better support, which is the same on both sides, when the circular ride is in the swing mode (i.e. with changing direction of rotation).

A further development of this type of circular ride with a passenger carrier, the horizontal position of which is always secured by a chain drive between the pivot shaft of the passenger carrier and the stationary axis of rotation of the cantilever arm (DE-A-2549261), consists in that the chain drive has a chain wheel mounted on the cantilever arm guided and connected to this a gear, which meshes with an idler gear, which in turn engages in a fixed gear concentric with the axis of rotation of the cantilever arm, and that at least the part of the cantilever arm supporting the chain drive with the sprocket and cogwheel on one of the pivot bearings of the cantilever arm comprehensive remaining part is releasably attached. Such a design makes it possible, while maintaining the known chain drive (or a component having a comparable effect), to eliminate the problems previously associated with it. They mainly resulted from the fact that the chain also had to be removed when the boom was generally removed from the supporting frame (stand, etc.). This is cumbersome and dangerous insofar as damage to the chain harbors the risk of later accidents.

With the development described above, it is possible to essentially disassemble and reinstall the boom without touching the chain drive. It is irrelevant whether the intermediate wheel that causes the necessary reversal of movement belongs to the removable part of the cantilever arm or remains on the stand with the remaining part.

The protection of the chain drive can be further increased by encapsulating it in the part of the cantilever arm designed as a housing. At the same time, the chain drive is hidden from the eyes of the passengers, and the interior of a cantilever arm designed for structural reasons is used in a sensible manner.

The cantilever arm 8 (FIGS. 3 and 4) or 108 (FIGS. 5 and 6) is fastened to the part of the ball slewing ring 2, namely a hub 4, which rotates about the axis 7.

The stand 1 can also consist of a carriage with several pairs of wheels, to which an axle support is pivotably articulated and can be erected with the aid of a multi-stage telescopic cylinder after each transport of the tour business. The arrangement (as illustrated in FIG. 4) can be such that the axle support does not have to be pivoted into its vertical position, so that it is possible for passengers boarding the vehicle to get out at the rear. Such an axle beam is braced by pendulum supports in its operating position.

Die Motoren 18 sind auf dem feststehenden Teil 3 der Antriebsanordnung befistigt und in geeigneter Weise untereinander sowie mit der Kraftversorgung und der Steuerung verbunden.FIGS. 1 and 2 illustrate the drive arrangement according to the invention, which is common to the two exemplary embodiments shown in FIGS. 3 and 4 or 5 and 6. The inner ring 2 'of the ball slewing ring 2 is, as can be seen most clearly from Fig. 2, attached to the fixed part 3 of the drive arrangement. The outer ring of the ball slewing ring 2 is designed as an external gear 16. Four sprockets 17 engage in this ring gear, each of which is driven by a separate motor 18, for example an oil motor. The motors 18 are mounted on the fixed part 3 of the drive arrangement and are connected in a suitable manner to one another and to the power supply and the control.

In the embodiment of Figures 3 and 4, a passenger carrier 9 is rigidly attached to the free end of the cantilever arm 8. It (i.e. above all its base 11 supporting the seats 10) has the shape of a section of the circular path which it sweeps over the axis 7 when the extension arm 8 rotates. Furthermore, the passenger carrier 9 overlaps - at least apparently - a rail ring 12, which is also fastened to the free end of the extension arm 8 and, diametrically opposite to the axis, to the free end of a second extension arm 13 extending the extension arm 8 beyond the axis 7. The ring 12 accordingly rotates with the cantilever arms 8 and 13 when these are driven to rotate about the axis 7 via the ball slewing ring 2.

The cross-section of the ring 12 is selected so that the passengers on the seats 10 in the passenger carrier 9 have the impression that they are sitting in a car that rolls on a rail. "Overreaching" is in the present context also intervening in the ring 12 as well as any other relative position allowing the connection of the passenger carrier 9 or the extension arm 8 to the ring 12 to be understood.

In the area of the free end of the second cantilever arm 13 there is also a counterweight 14 which compensates for the weight of the empty passenger carrier 9. With 15 chains of light sources are indicated, which are attached to the ring 12.

Figures 5 and 6 show another embodiment; In this example, components which correspond to the exemplary embodiment described above but are structurally different are provided with a reference number increased by 100. The stand 101 carries the drive arrangement according to the invention with the rotary ball joint 2 between the fixed part 3 and the hub 4. Both the cantilever arm 108 carrying the passenger carrier 109 and the second cantilever arm 113 carrying the counterweight 114 are fastened to the latter.

The passenger carrier 109 is pivotally attached to the cantilever arm 108 by means of a cantilever arm 20 approximately at the height of the passenger seats 110 in such a way that it is in a horizontal position in all rotational positions of the cantilever arm 108 (cf. FIGS. 7 and 8). FIG. 6 makes it clear that the passenger seats 110 are arranged with the backrests toward the extension arm 108, in several rows that are offset in a step-like manner, the highest row being arranged next to the extension arm 108.

Die Figuren 7 und 8 zeigen ein Ausführungsbeispiel für die erfindungsgemässe Parallelführung des Fahrgastträgers 109 am Auslegerarm 108, und zwar in schematischer Darstellung unter Fortlassung der Antriebsanordnung.FIGS. 7 and 8 show an exemplary embodiment for the parallel guidance of the passenger carrier 109 according to the invention on the extension arm 108, specifically in a schematic representation while leaving out the drive arrangement.

The cantilever 20 holding the passenger carrier 109 (not shown here) is mounted in the form of a pivot pin in the extension arm 108 and carries a chain wheel 125 over which a chain 124 runs. The counter sprocket 126 is fastened together with a gear 127 on a pivot 131, which is also on the extension arm 108. is stored. The cantilever arm 108 is divided at 132 approximately tangentially to the pitch circle of the gear wheel 127. The part 123 with the chain drive 124 to 126 can be removed from the remaining part 122 by loosening screws or the like. remove, leaving the entire chain drive on part 123.

When the part 123 is reattached, the gear 127 comes into engagement with an intermediate gear 128 mounted on the remaining part 122 of the extension arm 108. This in turn meshes with a fixed gear 129, which is fixed concentrically to the axis 7 on a component shown in the present example as a fixed axis. The remaining part 122 of the cantilever arm 108 can be rotated about this by means of the sliding bearing 130.

If the cantilever arm 108 composed of the parts 122 and 123 is rotated in a manner not shown, the idler gear 128 rolls on the gear 129 and gives the gear 127 (of the same size as the gear 129) a rotation which is caused by the Chain drive 124 to 126 is transmitted to the cantilever 20 and thus the passenger carrier 109. The angle of rotation of the passenger carrier 109 corresponds to that of the extension arm 108, so that the passenger carrier 109 is always held in a horizontal position. Nevertheless, the chain drive securing this relative position does not have to be touched when dismantling and assembling the circular business with the removal of the (most of the) extension arm 108.

It is therefore also possible to accommodate the chain drive 124 to 126 practically completely encapsulated in a cantilever arm 108 designed as a closed housing. Of course - as is readily apparent - the separation point 132 between the parts 122 and 123 of the cantilever arm 108 can also be arranged in the area of the engagement of the gear wheels 128 and 129, so that the intermediate wheel 128 is also mounted on the part 123.
