Abstract
Bei diesem Verfahren erfolgt die Direktreduktion
der Rohstoffe mittels eines Reduktionsgases zu Eisen
schwamm, welcher unter Zufuhr von Kohlenstoffträgern,
sauerstoffhaltigen Gasen und etwa erforderlichen Zu
schlagstoffen geschmolzen und zu Stahl gefrischt wird,
wobei die entstehenden, Kohlenmonoxid enthaltenden
Abgase rückgewonnen und für die Direktreduktion wieder
verwendet werden.
Um Störfälle beim Schmelzgefäß besser beherrschen
zu können, die Wärmebilanz zu verbessern und so das
Verfahren sicherer, einfacher und wirtschaftlicher zu ge
stalten, wird der, in der Direktreduktion (1) erhaltene
Eisenschwamm nacheinander in mindestens zwei der Di
rektreduktion zugeordnete Schmelz- und Frischaggregate
(2, 3) eingebracht, in denen - gegeneinander phasenver
schoben - zuerst das Einschmelzen des Eisenschwam
mes unter Aufkohlung der Schmelze und sodann das Fri
schen der Schmelze vorgenommen wird, derart, daß die
Summe der in den phasenverschoben arbeitenden
Schmelz- und Frischaggregaten erzeugten kohlenmonoxid
hältigen Abgase im wesentlichen konstant gehalten wird.
