Abstract
In a method for separating waste from a fiber-waste mixture on a textile machine, the fiber-waste mixture is thrown off tangentially by a rotating roller (1). In order to create a process in which waste is deposited with as few fibers as possible, an air flow (6, 7) acts on the fiber-waste mixture in such a way that the fibers are separated from the waste, the fibers again on the roller be returned and the waste is suctioned off.
Description
The invention relates to a method for separating from a fiber-waste mixture on a textile machine, in which the fiber-waste mixture is thrown off tangentially by a rotating roller and comprises an apparatus for carrying out the method.
In the area of spinning preparation, in particular when opening, cleaning and carding, and in subsequent processing steps, waste or the like must be separated and separated from fibers. This happens regularly in practice on rotating rollers in connection with rusting and. The like. A considerable part of the fibers is often separated with the waste. That is u. a. attributable to uncontrolled air flows. The accumulation of fibers in the waste represents a loss.
The invention is therefore based on the object of providing a method of the type mentioned at the beginning, in which Waste is deposited with as few fibers as possible, so that the loss of fibers is largely reduced.
This object is achieved by the characterizing features of
The invention is based on the idea of using the different mass of the waste particles and the fibers to separate the two components. Due to the fact that an air stream acts on the fiber-waste mixture, the considerably lighter fibers are blown out of this mixture and preferably returned to the rotating roller; the waste, which may still contain a few fibers, is then suctioned off. Due to the larger mass, the waste parts have a higher kinetic energy, so that the waste parts in a z. B. counter-rotating fluid flow have a much longer braking distance than the fibers, which have a lower mass. The method according to the invention takes advantage of this process and thereby allows a safe separation between the waste parts and the fibers.
The method according to the invention is used in particular with rotating, garnished rollers, e.g. B. cleaning rollers with impact lugs, licker, drum or the like. Applied to carry the waste parts and fibers in the direction of rotation. This is made possible by the outer covers of the rollers. In the case of one or more openings in the cover, the waste parts and the fibers endeavor to emerge tangentially from the opening at a certain angle at the opening point.
After passing through the opening, i.e. H. When the clothing re-enters under the cover, a negative pressure is created at the entry gap, which appears as suction (air deficit). This suction is compensated for by the air flow required for the braking effect.
This means that a waste part in the opposite air flow can fly about 10 to 20 times as far as a fiber, so that an effective separation of the waste parts from the fibers can be achieved.
The air flow is expediently directed in the opposite direction onto the fiber / waste mixture. The air stream is preferably directed obliquely or approximately perpendicularly to the fiber-waste mixture, specifically in the direction of the roller, so that the fibers can be returned to the roller.
An advantageous device for carrying out the method is characterized in that a braking duct is provided in the direction of the centrifugal force of the fiber-waste mixture, which leads into a waste collecting chamber which is connected to a suction device and that a compressed air duct connected to a compressed air source is provided, whose output is directed to the brake channel.
The width of the brake duct is preferably adjustable in order to enable metering for the adjustment of the brake air flow. This setting is expediently locked.
The length of the brake channel is preferably adjustable. This allows the braking distance to be varied so that the limit particle sizes still to be permitted for separation can be set on site. According to a further advantageous embodiment, the direction of the compressed air channel is adjustable.
