Description

  • Im technologischen Verfahrensablauf einer Rüben- oder Rohrzuckerfabrik erfüllen die Carbonatationen (Saturationen) eine wichtige Funktion während der Saftreinigung.
  • So wird in der 1. Carbonatation das in der Hauptkalkung im Überschuß zugesetzte Calciumhydroxid (8-15 g/I) durch Einleiten von kohlendioxidhaltigem Gas (Kalkofengas) bei 80-90 °C als Calciumcarbonat gefällt, um damit einerseits ein Filterhilfsmittel zur Umhüllung der gefällten Kolloide und eine Öberfläche zur Adsorption nichtfällbarer Nichtzuckerstoffe zu erzeugen und andererseits das Calciumhydroxid auf einen Restgehalt von 0,7-1,4 g/l Schlammsaft, entsprechend einem pH-Wert von 10,7-11,6 bei 20 °C gemessen, zu entfernen. Durch das Durchleiten des Kalkofengases werden ferner die Hauptmenge des in der Hauptkalkung bei der Verseifung der Amide gebildeten Ammoniaks und andere gasförmige flüchtige Substanzen aus dem Saft ausgetragen (Ullmanns Encyklopädie der technischen Chemie, 3. Auflage, Bd. 19, Seite 221).
  • In der 2. Carbonatation wird durch Einleiten von Kalkofengas bei 90-100 °C in dem filtrierten und auf 90-100 °C erwärmten Saft aus der 1. Carbonatation (Dünnsaft 1), dem evtl. noch Calciumhydroxid in einer Menge von 0,5-1,5 g/l zugesetzt worden ist, das Calciumhydroxid möglichst vollständig als Calciumcarbonat gefällt, wobei gleichzeitig der pH-Wert des Saftes auf 8,6-9,4 bei 20° gemessen, erniedrigt wird (Ullmanns Encyklopädie der Technischen Chemie, 3. Auflage, Bd. 19, Seite 222).
  • Aus diesem Stand der Technik geht hervor, daß bisher die Carbonatationen nicht nur saft-, sondern aus gasseitig getrennt durchgeführt werden, d. h. daß in die Carbonatationen jeweils frisches Kalkofengas eingeleitet wird.
  • Trotz unterschiedlicher konstruktiver Ausbildung der für die Durchführung der Carbonatation verwendeten Blasensäulenreaktoren gelingt es wegen des vom pH-Wert und der Temperatur abhängigen Dissoziationsgleichgewichtes Carbonat - Hydrogencarbonat nicht, eine bessere Ausnutzung des C027 Gehaltes des Kalkofengases als von 59 % in der 1. Carbonatation und von 45 % in der 2. Carbonatation zu erreichen. An diesen Verhältnissen können grundsätzlich auch vorgeschlagene saft- und gasseitig hintereinandergeschaltete Kaskaden nichts ändern (La Sucrerie Beige 97, 2, 47 (1978).
  • Der Erfindung liegt die Aufgabe zugrunde, den Bedarf an Kalkofengas (Carbonatationsgas) zu verringern und den Wärmehaushalt bei der Saftreinigung entscheidend zu verbessern.
  • Zur Lösung dieser Aufgabe werden die in den Ansprüchen ergänzten Verfahrensschritte vorgeschlagen, wobei bereits der im Anspruch 1 angegebene Verfahrensschritt die genannte Aufgabe auch hinsichtlich der Verbesserung des Wärmehaushaltes löst.
  • Es wurde gefunden, daß es nicht nur gelingt, den Bedarf an Carbonatationsgas für das Betreiben der Carbonatationen um 8-16 % zu verringern, wenn man das aus der 2. Carbonatation austretende Gas in die 1. Carbonatation einführt, sondern daß mit dieser Maßnahme auch eine erhebliche Wärmeeinsparung (ca. 0,6 kg Dampf/100 kg verarbeitete Rüben) verbunden ist, da ein Teil des Wärmeinhaltes (ca. 40-50 %) des aus der 2. Carbonatation austretenden wasserdampfgesättigten Gases durch Kondensation in dem um rd. 10-15 °C kälteren Saft in der 1. Carbonatation direkt gewonnen werden kann. E wurde bisher offenbar übersehen, daß bei der gebräuchlichen Arbeitsweise der Carbonatationen im Abgas der 2. Carbonatation eine Wärmemenge von ca. 3.000 kJ/100 kg verarbeiteter Rüben und im Abgas der 1. Carbonatation eine Wärmemenge von ca. 4.000 kJ/100 kg verarbeiteter Rüben, insgesamt entsprechend einer Dampfmenge von ca. 2,4 kg/100 kg verarbeiteter Rüben, verlorengehen.
  • In konsequenter Weiterverfolgung des erfindungsgemäßen Gedankens wurde nun gefunden, daß sich auch die Wärmemenge des Abgases der 1. Carbonatation weitgehend wiedergewinnen läßt, indem das ca. 80 °C warme wasserdampfgesättigte Abgas der 1. Carbonatation in einem Wärmeaustauscher gegen kälteren Saft (Rohsaft, Vorkalkungssaft, Dünnsaft 1 nach Entspannungsverdampfung entsprechend DE-C-2729 192) und/oder gegen einströmendes Kalkofengas abgekühlt und kondensiert wird. Bei dieser Arbeitsweise lösen sich das im Abgas der 1. Carbonatation enthaltene Ammoniak und die anderen flüchtigen organischen Verbindungen im kondensierten kalten Wasser, wodurch einerseits eine Geruchsemission vermieden, andererseits Ammoniak-Wasser als Stickstoffquelle für den biologischen Abbau von Zuckerfabriksabwässern gewonnen wird.
  • Die Erfindung soll im folgenden beispielhaft erläutert werden. Zum Betreiben der Carbonatationen steht Kalkofengas folgender Zusammensetzung zur Verfügung :

  • In der 1. Carbonatation werden pro 100 kg verarbeiteter Rüben 145 I Saft mit 85 °C und einem CaO-Gehalt von 12 g/l durch Einleiten von Kalkofengas auf einen CaO-Gehalt von 1,2 g/I gebracht.
  • Bei einer CO2-Ausnutzung von 59 % werden dazu 4,08 kg Kalkofengas benötigt, und bei konventioneller Arbeitsweise fällt, eine Abgasmenge von 4,44 kg bei 80 °C und 1,013 bar und folgender Zusammensetzung an :

  • Bei einer Enthalpie von 948,8 kJ/kg Abgas ist eine Wärmemenge im Abgas der 1. Carbonatation von 4.213 kJ/100 kg verarbeiteter Rüben enthalten.
  • In der 2. Carbonatation werden pro 100 kg verarbeiteter Rüben 135 I Saft mit 95 °C und einem CaO-Gehalt von 2,5 g/1 durch Einleiten von Kalofengas auf einen CaO-Gehalt von 0,25 g/I gebracht.
  • Bei einer C02-Ausnutzung von 45 % werden dazu 1,04 kg Kalkofengas benötigt, wobei eine Abgasmenge von 1,96 kg bei 90° und 1,013 bar mit folgender Zusammensetzung anfällt :

  • Das Abgas der 2. Carbonatation hat eine spezifische Enthalpie von 1.619,5 kJ/kg, demnach ist im Abgas der 2. Carbonatation eine Wärmemenge von 3.174 kJ/100 kg verarbeiteter Rüben enthalten.
  • Wird nun erfindungsgemäß das Abgas der 2. Carbonatation mit einem Kompressor, einer Wasserringpumpe oder mit einem Dampf- oder Flüssigkeitsinjektor angesaugt und in die 1. Carbonatation eingeleitet, dann werden an Kalkofengas für das Betreiben der 1. Carbonatation zum Erreichen der oben angegebenen Betriebszustände lediglich 3,50 kg Kalkofengas benötigt, die Einsparung an Kalkofengas beträgt demnach 0,58 kg oder 14 %. An Gesamtabgas aus der 1. Carbonatation fallen 5,11 kg bei 82° und 1,013 bar mit folgender Zusammensetzung beim erfindungsgemäßen Verfahren an :

  • Bei einer spezifischen Enthalpie von 1.106,7 kJ/kg ist im Gesamtabgas der 1. Carbonatation eine Wärmemenge von 5.655 kJ/100 kg verarbeiteter Rüben enthalten.
  • Die Wärmeersparnis allein durch das Rücknehmen des Abgases der 2. Carbonatation in die 1. Carbonatation beträgt 1.732 kJ/100 kg Rüben oder 0,647 kg Dampf/100 kg verarbeiteter Rüben (4.213 + 3.174 - 5.655).
  • Der Wärmeinhalt des Abgases der 1. Carbonatation von 5.655 kJ/100 kg verarbeiteter Rüben wird dann in Wärmeaustauschern zum Anwärmen von kälteren Medien, z. B. von Rohsaft von 20°, von Dünnsaft 1 nach der Entspannungsverdampfung von 20° oder von Kalkofengas von 20°, zu rd. 80-90° ausgenutzt. Dabei fallen an ammoniakhaltigem Kondensat ca. 2 kg/100 kg Rüben an.

Claims (3)

1. Verfahren zur Verbesserung der Arbeitsweise der Carbonatationen (Saturationen) einer Zuckerfabrik, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das Abgas der 2. Carbonatation in die 1. Carbonatation eingeführt wird.
2. Verfahren nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das Abgas der 1. Carbonatation unter Ausnutzung seines Wärmeinhaltes in Wärmetauschern gegen kältere Medien, z. B. Rohsaft, Dünnsaft 1 nach Entspannungsverdampfung, Kalkofengas u. dgl. abgekühlt wird.
3. Verfahren nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das Abgas der 1. Carbonatation und der 2. Carbonatation gemeinsam oder getrennt unter Ausnutzung seines Wärmeinhaltes in Wärmetauschern gegen kältere Medien, z. B. Rohsaft, Dünnsaft 1 nach Entspannungsverdampfung, Kalkofengas usw. abgekühlt wird.
