Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a magnetic filter system with magnetic conveyor bars carried by endless conveyor chains or the like in a mutually parallel arrangement and a liquid container for receiving the dirty liquid to be cleaned, through which the filter bars are guided and passed outside the liquid past a cleaning device in which the cleaning device has at least two movably driven ones Contains dirt wipers, which enclose one or more magnetic bars with the wiper blades from above and below during the cleaning process and perform a straight-line wiping movement in the longitudinal direction of the magnetic bars.
In a known magnetic filter system (DE-OS 2 429 849), the magnetic rod cleaning device is located above the liquid on the liquid container. The cleaning of the magnetic bars is done in such a way that endless chains are provided above and below the magnetic bars, which carry dirt wipers and thus free the magnetic bars, which are surrounded by the dirt wipers, from the adhering dirt by means of the straight, longitudinal wiping movement of the magnetic bars .
It has been found to be disadvantageous here that the chains revolving below the magnetic rods are affected by the stripped dirt particles falling downward into the dirt discharge device, since the falling dirt not only gets into the intended dirt discharge device, but gradually settles between the chain links, which leads to elongation of the chains and increased wear.
The invention has for its object to avoid the aforementioned disadvantages and in particular to make the space between the dirt discharge device and the magnetic bars completely free of any stationary machine equipment required for cleaning the magnetic bars such as e.g. endless chains, so that the stripped dirt can fall unhindered into the dirt discharge device.
According to the invention, this object is achieved in that a movably guided carriage carries scraper rods which can be opened and closed in the manner of pliers and which protrude from outside the liquid container in the longitudinal direction of the magnetic rods into the region of the liquid container and which protrude at their ends Ends are provided with the magnetic bars to be cleaned between dirt wipers which enclose them and that the wiper bars in the end positions of the slide are designed to extend from the non-magnetic front end to the non-magnetic rear end of the magnetic bars. Thus, the entire mechanics of the magnetic bar cleaning device is outside the area of the falling dirt, so that the stripped dirt parts can fall into the dirt discharge device without hindrance and without the possibility of deposition. Even if the scraper rods, which can be opened and closed like pliers, hold the magnetic rods with their dirt wipers when the pliers are closed and, when moving the carriage, sweep the entire length of the magnetic rods in a straight wiping motion, the lower wiper rod does not come into contact with the falling dirt, since the The wiping process starts at the front end of the magnetic rods and the dirt wipers prematurely wipe off the dirt during the wiping stroke. Of course, the lower scraper rod is also underneath the magnetic bars during the return stroke, but here, when the scraper bars are open and no dirt scrapers are brought out of contact with the magnetic bars, no more dirt falls off. But even with the opposite wiping process, the risk of excessive contamination of the lower wiper rod would be only slight, since this represents only a relatively small contact surface for the falling dirt particles. Otherwise, a malfunction of the operating procedure would not be expected even with the coarsest contamination of the scraper rods, since these are robust and insensitive because of their exclusive function as a supporting element for the dirt scraper and have no wearing part. A preferred embodiment of the invention provides that the carriage is guided in a bracket-like bracket which can be flanged onto the liquid container and that the carriage can be moved on rollers in a further embodiment of the invention. The console is usefully flanged to the side of the liquid container, so that the slide and the slide drive device are arranged away from the operating area of the actual filter system, which ensures unobstructed access to the liquid container and the magnetic rods rotating in chains in order to carry out the necessary maintenance work. If, for reasons of space, a bracket-like bracket cannot be attached, it is of course possible to mount the slide guide and drive above the magnetic rods, but here again the wiper rods are cantilevered from the side into the area of the liquid container.
The refinements according to the invention according to claims 4 to 6 relate to the drive for moving the carriage (claim 5) as well as the design and controllability and control (claims 4 and 6) of the wiper-like wiper rods.

The travel stroke of the
In order to open and close the wiper rods 43, 44 in the manner of pliers, they are articulated to one another at one end by a
- When the magnetic filter system is in operation, the
endless chain 47 driven by thecommon drive motor 12 rotates continuously. Since the drivingpin 48 carried by thechain 47 engages in afork 49 of thecarriage 42, the carriage becomes thereby 42 moves in a linear stroke movement from one end position E 1 to the other end position E 2. Before reaching the rear end position E 1, thestop 54 comes into contact with thestop 55, so that in the course of the remaining stroke of theslide 42 up to the end position E 1, which is equivalent to a reversal of the direction of the slide movement, the individual levers 50 a, 50 b of the knee lever with the common bearing 51 against the direction of movement of thecarriage 42 and thecirculating chain 47 on theslide 53 are moved to a position in which the individual levers 50 a, 50 b are vertically one above the other. The scraper rods 43, 44 are rotated about the axes P 1, P 2 until they are aligned horizontally and parallel to one another in one position, which is exactly the case when thecarriage 42 has reached the end position E 1. The scraper rods 43, 44 are now closed and, with theirdirt scrapers 14, comprise themagnetic bars 6 to be cleaned from above and below, in this position they extend so far into the area of the liquid container 1 that themagnetic bars 6 are gripped at theirnon-magnetic front ends 15 . In order to maintain a fully continuous operation, thedirt wipers 14 are here - as described in an earlier application by the applicant (DE-OS 27 10 005) - offset by a certain pitch from themagnetic bars 6.
As soon as the
