Definitions
- the invention therefore relates to a process for the preparation of polyhydantoins containing amidimide groups by reacting polyfunctional aminocarboxylic acid derivatives and organic polyisocyanates, which is characterized in that the reaction is carried out in lactones using cyclic carboxylic acid anhydride compounds which also contain a further condensable group.
- polyamideimide hydantoins prepared in this way can be applied directly as lacquers, if appropriate after adding further lactone or other environmentally friendly, non-phenolic solvents.
- Another object of the invention is therefore also lacquer solutions, in particular for stoving lacquers tend modified polyhydantoins prepared by the inventive method.
- paints have excellent properties that at least correspond to the paints - made from phenolic solvents. This is all the more surprising since both paints made from pure polyhydantoin solutions and paints made from pure polyamideimide solutions, which were produced using environmentally friendly solvents, do not have these values.
- the solvents used according to the invention are lactones with C 3 -C 16 , preferably ⁇ -butyrolactone. Abstract
